    Video Summary
    ******
This video is about the first quit smoking stage of the CBQ Method, C1, “Choose to Quit”
You will learn what is the first quit smoking stage, why it’s important to your success and what are the 3 things you need to do at this stage so you can start your next quit attempt.
If you want to quit smoking but don't know where to start, then this is the stage you need to complete first.
In the video, I show you why skipping this stage can cause you to postpone quitting, again and again.
Then, we’ll talk about the 3 ingredients that make a firm decision to quit smoking.
We start with quitting commitment and how to strengthen yours.
Then, we go to your reasons for quitting and something most people miss out on when trying to stop smoking.
And the last part has to do with understanding your smoking addiction and why doing so can help you become a non-smoker.

I wish I never started, I used to hide cig from my pops when i was younger I started smoking when I was 19. I quit coffee, weed, soda all in 1 shot its been 2 years ive been sober now. Cig are something else!! Anyway I know through Christ we can do all things who strengthens us! I pray we both look at the big pic and realize that whats hard for me is that morning cig or after food. There is not such a thing as a perfect method and blaming us for not following the instructions properly it’s a bit harsh and unfair. It might be that is not the right method for some. I have been smoking since I was 21. I am 55 and now. I have tried to quit in the past but these were half hearted - there were only desires to quit.
After watching several of your videos, I know that wanting to quit is different than deciding/choosing to quit. For me that is not a hurdle, it is a wall that needs to be smashed. I only hope that I have the strentgh to fully commit to that decision.

@GodsDaughter OfLove My last cigg was 10/24/21. It is now 175 days smoke free. I don't keep a daily count. IMHO, that would be something akin to obsession. May Christ bless you and I know what to do smokers always look for that 1 last cig that will get them to the finish line but thats a trick because smoking and cravings or addiction doesn't have a finish line its always one more
1 is 1 too many and 1 is not enough

What a great video....thanks a lot mam....when ever I buy a pack of cigarette, I always decide, this would be my last but then I go n buy my next pack wen I'm on d 8th or 9th one( In India, 10 cigarettes make a packet )
I had this urge to quit for long but never could. I use to smoke at least 2 packs daily. But since yesterday, what strategy that I took was, I use to write down the time and whether its half cigarette or full one...it really helped me a lot as going through it, I could realize that my time duration of smoking is extending like from 10mints, half an hour, 1, 1.5 n now I could go up to 2 hours. This is wen, I thought to surf to UA-cam n I'm lucky enough to go through your videos... The 4 c's will really help....Thanks a lot Ms. Dov is🙏

It has been nearly 72 hours since my last cigarette. I didn't decide to quit; I ran out of money and cigarettes due to a double-charge to my bank account, leaving me broke.
I am having mental/emotional cravings. I probably would have given in to them if I had money to buy a pack. I will face that scenario within the next couple of days. That moment isn't even here yet, and I'm struggling internally about whether I'll continue with this 3-day head start, or will I buy a pack.
Do you see any special pitfalls to stopping when it was forced on me by circumstance, as opposed to my making a decision to stop?
I've only watched 2 videos so far but I am enthusiastic about your program. My doctor has me working on CBT for emotional distress, so I know that it's a valid approach.
Thank you for your great work here!

i must be dense af, cause i am confused. just watched a video telling me "you have to get rid of the pleasure of smoking BEFORE you quit" , then, step 1, choose to quit and stick with it. WTF ?!
i thought i will choose to quit AFTER i stop feeling that "i need the cigarette" . another video is called "why you don't need willpower to stop smoking" ... but step ONE of the program is the menacing, horrible, scary " choose a moment and that's it, stop it, have the willpower to not slip back into the habbit". excuse me for being extremely doubtful of all this miraculous method

    • @CBQMethod
      @CBQMethod  3 роки тому +2

Hello, during the first stage you choose to quit, you make the decision to be a non-smoker but you don't smoke your last cigarette yet. Instead, you keep preparing and overcoming the mental addiction (by going through the 4 quit smoking stages) and when you do, then you smoke your last cigarette. If you prepare there's no willpower involved - only mind power. We hope this clarifies the difference between choosing to quit and smoking your last cigarette.
