Hi Blake, that is correct! We do have a heat protected power cable custom made for us. We plan to have them on the website soon. Please contact us at sales@cedarandstonesauna.com and we can connect further!
Hey there! You can find our retail sauna essentials here: cedar-and-stone-nordic-sauna.myshopify.com Or you can reserve an outdoor sauna here: cedarandstonesauna.com/build/ Stay warm, friend!
Gosh all that tech sounds great. However it wont age well… I would be pissed if I went to sauna and the heater didn’t work because of a sensor of wifi issue. Lol
Good question. Saunas are wet rooms and should function with the ability to drain water. The majority of the water does evaporate before hitting the floor when poured slowly over the stones. However, be careful to manage any other moisture you create for the room. Nobody wants that dank musty gym sauna. This can happen if proper drainage isn’t accounted for.
Ok. So cool. Do you have unclaimed stock? Got a price list? Last Q-like the Hive look more than the drop. But Hive is more Kw than I’ll likely need. Is it terrible to be overpowered?
Hey again Ian, we’ll do ya one better than unclaimed stock. Inventory ready to ship whenever you need it. Stop over to the our online store here: cedarandstonesauna.com/shop For your spot. The HIVE Mini should likely be the right fit. 🙌🏽😄 Comes in both 6kW and 9kW.
Hey Kyle, indeed you do get what ya pay for. There are cheap sauna heaters on Amazon. And if budget is the only factor then a more premium stove wouldn’t be the best fit for your needs. However, if beauty, quality, safety, and advanced tech features are for you these heaters lead the industry. They have also been significant in the European market for almost a decade. N to the USA yes, not new to helping people with quality sauna.
@@Kh2456 I misspelt it before. They cost around twice as less. So around ~500 euros. I used to have huum drop for 3 years and no issues. New sauna I'm building will also have Huum hive mini.
Before anyone buys this contraction think twice... The sauna is just 20% of your actual spending with all that nice wood. At the end I added a few fiber reinforced plastic to make my wall look nicer after my concept work
The HUUM Drop (Small Wall-Mounted) like this have heat outputs of 4.5kW, 6kW, and 9kW which would heat up to 530 cubic feet. And If you need more then HIVE and Wood-fired options provide even more heat. 🔥🙌🏼😀 Just depends on how big your sauna is and we make sure the right one fits.
Do you guys build saunas that purely run off of solar? I live in a state that has lots of sun shine. I’m thinking of my dream sauna where one day I’ll have you guys build it.
Hey Aaron, great question. Finnish/Nordic Sauna tradition create a sauna that has high heat and ability to throw water into stones to control humidity and create steam. To do this you’d need a wood-fired stove, or an electrical stove with 240v service and 30-60amps of power. So is solar theoretically possible. Yes. Yet, it’s seldom cost effective with current residential solar. But sounds like a fun challenge to solve. 😄🙌🏽🔥☀️
I’ve often thought of building a solar sauna. I’ve had a normal flat plate hot water solar panel but they only produce 160 degrees which might not be hot enough for a sauna and I probably not use a sauna in the day but after work.
BS and overpriced. 1 electric cooking burner a shopping cart and some stones from my local nursery. Priceless just about $350.00 plus a 30 amp extension cord. Most homes or apartments have the water heater next to a bathroom. Step one ... Turn off the 220 braker for water heater cut the wires and install. a 220 outlet. Step two ... Buy a 220 washing machine cord and install it on your water heater. To plug in and unplug wile using the souna. Step three ... Cut the shopping cart and make a box big enough to place the electric cooking stove in it with a bunch of river rocks in it with a 220 cord long enough to plugin in the water heater new aulet disconnecting the water heater (no overload). Step four ... Add 1/2 inch insulating Styrofoam to wall and ceiling with thermo tape NO HEAT WILL ESCAPE (no need to glue the foam to walls). Step five .. TURN THE COOKING HEATER TO MEDIUM TEMPERATUR, Get naked and enjoy. NO DIFFERENT FROM BOILING WATER. heat rocks to desire temperature. BY controlling the temperature on the stove under the rocks. You can still take showers and now have a 30 minutes sauna.
Hey @redbugg99, we appreciate the DIY spirit. And for those who wanna build. We always support. It is worth considering sauna heaters that have additional safety elements and ratings so that they can be installed, insured, and supported. Additionally, be very careful about foam insulations. Most off-gas at normal sauna operating temps. So be sure to check temp ratings for all materials in the sauna. Stay warm!
Sorry to hear you had a bum element Brian, like in all electric sauna heaters the elements are considered a consumable item. Please reach out to your local dealer as HUUM has been providing replacement elements on some models of stove.
I’m starting to think the “cedar” boards are also radiators of infra red after trying solid state saunas with out cedar board walls.
do the rocks heating via an electric heater make the air feel more like a wood fired model or is there no difference in the heat feeling? cheers
My Center element is no longer working, can you do a video on how to replace an element?
The heater requires a high temperature cable of minimum221 degrees. Is there a certain cable your company uses. Having a hard time finding one.

Can both of the control unit replaced outside of the sauna open to the elements?

what options are there for natural gas heaters
Does the water evaporate before hitting the floor? Just curious if you need tile and/or drainage.

These are very pricey. Would want to get one but they seem pretty new and haven’t been fully vetted yet.

Total garbage sauna heater we had melted heating elements in less than a year. It looks good but it’s pure garbage construction
