    Rail splitter .

The regular trapper is #19. Neither of my trappers had blade rap. My large stag had a very small blade rap which isn’t a big deal because the stag is excellent. Very happy with mine.

Sorry to see the blade wrap. I'm glad the lock isn't that much in the way but it still just looks a little too funky for me. Thanks for the look. Glad to see Queen making it its way back to the USA.

I have the same one. I love it. My blade rap is just a little. Its very similar to my moore maker pattern.

Like the belly on that spay blade, thats going to be a sharp looking knife if you let it get a nice even grey patina, great carry

I use an old KPL bottle for mineral oil. Squeeze the bottle and suck the oil up in it. The knives are made by Bear and son

I picked up same Jumbo Trapper and just looked at it closer after your review and dang, blade wrap on my red bone version as well on the main blade. Mine also had some scratches on the blade. Not showing any issues on the stag version. My guess is made by bear and sons given the fabric pouch the stag version came in which B&S uses consistently.

It just feels like too nice for me to think it's bear and son. I guess it could be but I don't know

I heard that the newer models of Queen are made by Bear and Sons. Not sure on the first model, the website initially showing China has me suspicious.

It just seems too nice for bear and son. Maybe they really stepped up their production, but usually a bear and son knife is kinda crude feeling

I have the same knife with the same red bone handles. I guess I was lucky because I have no blade problems. Yes, this is a Trapper pattern, but I don't think it is comparable to regular Trappers. This knife should compete with larger folding hunting knives made by Case and Boker and maybe even Buck. I don't know if I'm going to carry it or not, but I'm looking for a belt sheath for it; it's too big for comfortable pocket carry for me. I think the blade lock adds a lot of value for a working knife.

I picked up the stag version and it has blade rap on both blades. Will be sending it back. :-(

I was going to pick one of these up but after seeing the blade rap I've put that on pause. I can deal with blade scratches and the blade being a little off set but blade rap is a deal breaker. Not for these prices. If it were $15 I'd understand but I don't want to pay $70-100 for a knife that requires me to fix someone else's mistake.

Unfortunate about the blade wrap but besides that seems like they are well made knives. Hopefully as time passes they will improve their qc.

80 bucks for blade wrap I would probably send her back

It happens. I've gotten more expensive knives with blade wrap. I always just put a little piece of leather where it hits the backspring

Most of the Queen "American made" line appear to be made by Bear and Son.....so expect sketchy QC....Your knife would rise to exhibition level for Bear and Son...never saw any of their stuff that didnt have obvious flaws but are generally serviceable and made of good materials....having said that...these new Queens are over-priced imho..

Maybe they have a QC line specific for Queen Knives which justifies the price

The first Queen branded knife SMKW sold was a Queen City smooth Red Bone Trapper over 3-years ago made in the USA. Then SMKW moved production to China. That model sold for $44.99, the one I have has no defects what so ever. SMKW has a video on the knife. There was another model in black sold too.
SMKW acquired both Queen and Queen City name brands, the model stamp, reads (QC19RS) USA. The knife has both Queen and Queen City markings. The bolster has a Queen etched emblem; the clip blade has a Queen City blade stamp and reverse side model number and USA stamp. It seems SMKW is befuddled, using correct details on their knife designs. I believed this Queen trapper would make a great collection knife for that reason, so I bought one.💰

Those were made by bear and son, I remember those. Although I didn't get one
