I visited SMKW this summer. I bought 1. I sorted through a big shoe box of brown bone and red bone. Reason they are seconds were because of bone covers. Some were not jigged fully, some transitions to bolsters were off, and most were a gap between the cover and bolster. I got one that knife was perfect but there was a gap where cover meets the bolster. Maybe a 32nd. You catch your nail in it. But work knife, who cares
I love those colors and the sawcut pattern… not a big fan of two bladed trappers. The third stop seems unusual-have you experienced that before? Good deal and the case you made for it looks good. Thanks for the video Randy.
I've seen 1/3 and 1/4 stops but usually closer to the open position, not where this one is. This would definitely be more cool with just the clip point. Thank you for watching brother!
The absence of the match strike nail nicks is good to see, the jig is different on the SMKW pictures of the knife. Your knife looks like the covers are made differently than the SMKW pictures. I wonder what manufacturer made the knife for SMKW.
Yeah I like the nail nick better on this one. I think they just didn't have the machinery set up right for these seconds. Thanks for watching Gizmo! :)
I bought 2, only problem was they were both dirty, and the main blades are gritty opening up, ive oiled and flushed them, they are improving, great knives, well worth th 24 bucks each.
I got this knife from SMKW and paid full price. My sawcut bone has some barespots too. The bone is close to the same color on both sides, but yours is nice because of the "colors" that can be seen. Mine is mostly the same color brown. So, something to be said for seconds and lots to be said for a knife that was $25 Kudos Randy
Thanks! Yeah, I think this one looks far better than the regular one. It's like to find a factory 2nd of the OT bruin to go with this one now. Thanks for checking it out!!
Queen Cutlery sure seems to make some half decent stuff at very affordable prices. I do prefer to have half-stops on traditional knives. Thanks for sharing and Cheers!
@@RandysWSG dude I'd say so! I ain't scared of a factory second! My left shoe I'd a puma and my right shoe is a hey dude...both factory seconds, ya know what I'm saying?
I like the knife but at the original price point when it was released it should have "USA MADE" on the knife somewhere. That's what stopped my from buying it. For $24 it's a good pickup.
Yeah, that was a big mistake not to put that "USA" the blades. The second though, it's probably cheaper than a similar sized RR. Thanks for watching brother!
Hey Randy,
That’s a big boy indeed 😀
Great looking piece and certainly a handful.
Those covers are sweet 👍🏻
Thanks for the look brother 😎👍🏻
Definitely a beefy one haha. I carried for the first time today. Was not to bad in the pocket :) Thanks for watching brother!
That was a steal of a deal. A fantastic looking knife. Thanks Randy.
Can't go wrong with the price. Thanks for watching (^_^)
Great looking knife, I definitely like how thick it is. Thanks for sharing!!
It's a beast of a trapper lol. Thanks for watching Jake!
That is a hell of a deal! Love the bone covers and the size! Thanks for sharing Randy!
Thank you!! Even as a 2nd with messed up covers it looks good. Thanks for watching buddy!

Very nice great looking knife! Great pattern!!!
Killer price on these too. Thanks brother!
That’s really a nice knife…the Sawcut bone looks awesome
Thanks Randy. I guess their machinery was messed up on these. Still looked good. Thank you for watching my my friend!
To me, that knife looks beautiful.👍I’d carry the heck out of that one! Might have to try and pick one of these up! Cheers, buddy!

They are a heck of a deck, I meant to say Chicago knife works on the video, no SMKW. Thanks for watching brother!
I think it has a charming appeal to it. In a red headed step child kinda way. Thanks for sharing it.😊
Hahaha. I like that the bone looks this way personally. Thanks for watching (^_^)
@@RandysWSG I agree. It has a worn look to it. 👌
Thats a beautiful knife!

I like the bone on the Chinese made Queen knives more, but these (the regular ones) look great too. Thanks for watching buddy!
nice video ... yea those scales do look a lot like the old timer bruin.
Thank you! Yeah especially the the regular ones (this being a factory 2nd) Thanks for watching!
$24.99? It must been a 50% off sale. I can’t find it anywhere for that price.
The sold out recently. Check out Chicago knife works for other second. Can find some killer deals. I have a GEC 2nd. Just a nick on the bolster.
Love that finish on the bone! $24 ?
USA made and $24, a bad ass deal even for a factory second. Thank you for watching!

@@RandysWSG sure found it off Knifeworks site. Fit and finish are good once cleaned up blade has good centering
holy crap, the saw cut on your knife is crap! Id send it back. it looks like sh*t. JMHO.
That's why it was a factory second. I like it though. Thanks for watching
