An S-curve… What’s that!?!?! 😆 (in reality, I kinda only have one. It’s from the entrance to the center reverse loop, as the switch turns right- then back the the left to make the loop around to said switch. But I hear ya, can’t stand when folks do this, when they could easily curb from doing so.) And Thank You, Kent!
@@flintrockvalley An S curve is where the track turns, and immediately turns in the other direction without a straight track between them. Which makes it harder for a train to maneuver through, which leads to derailments. I didn't see any S-curves on your layout. Good job.
This Postwar layout is beautiful!! Your wiring is done meticulously. I see you color coded the wires to the switches matching the green wire with the green “thru” of the switch, and vice versa with the red wire with the red “out”, as well as the blue wire got the “fixed voltage plug”. Outstanding. Very organized and methodical. Great stuff!!
Thanks so much Tom!! Very much appreciate your compliment! Yeah, it’s nice when things match. 🤓 I have spent years designing/ planning/ & building this Layout. I have put lots of thought as to just how & why I what things where & what it’s job will be. Thanks again, Sir!
No Sir. All block powered sections & track power feeders are 16 gauge Outdoor Landscaping/ Lighting Wire. All switches/ toggles are 18/5 Thermostat Wire (& any other thing/s requiring multiple (more than 2) wires). And all accessories are 18/2 Thermostat Wire. All available at your local Home Depot…
Postwar Heaven! 🤩
Very nicely done ♐️👍
Thanks so much!
The first thing I look for when I see a layout is the presence of unwanted S-curves. You don't have any! Well done!

Are you using 20 gauge wire? That's the smallest I'm able to find locally.

Weird to hear a real freight train running its horn on the track running through downtown Snaileyville as we're watching this video...
