I LOVE this fragrance. Just sprayed it on today at Macy’s. I sprayed my forearms and rubbed them together to evaporate the water and mix the fragrance oils with my skin chemistry, kind of like you do with an attar. At first I couldn’t smell hardly anything. It was the weakest fragrance I ever smelled…or didn’t smell. However, after about 45 minutes the fragrance came alive! And it was performing very well. It is still going right now 4 hours later. The projection isn’t beastly, but it has great Sillage. This scent reminds me a lot of JPG Le Male. But Le Male is too aggressive for me to wear. This one, however, is totally wearable. It must be the elemi and lavender together that is reminding me of the Le Male DNA. I am definitely picking up a bottle as I absolutely love this scent. Others may not though. It is subjective. Kurkdjian is just a master of barbershop scents. UPDATE: Picked up the scent and I consistently get 12+ hours out of it with a good scent bubble. Reviewers should have given this a full wearing before making a video and bashing it. They are just plain wrong about it. It is a great scent.
I only put 1 spray I agree with one of the reviewers I didn't like the smell at first it took about a hour then it smells very good but you need to spray around 4 sprays then see if it projects enough I'm still not sure

FK keeps missing on - one of those private lines is holding less than a 6/10 on Parfumo, think it was New Look. And the price at this point on Dior is also outrageous, blows my mind that we still even talk about Dior or Tom Ford on fragrance YT when you can get top product from Xerjoff for the same price.
It projects more than you think. I sprayed it & about 90 minutes later the wife - who was halfway across the house in another room said it was too strong. Inwas shocked because I couldn’t perceive it anymore. Nevertheless the smell is ok. Elixir is still the best in the line
In 2021 Sauvage Elixir has become my signature scent. It is the one and only fragrance i owe that has been complimented by both sexes, all ages, and the only one that gets a compliment every single time it's worn. It lasts long, doesn't become boring, it is an absolute masterpiece from Demachy. I also use older batches of the edp time to time. Eau forte was an absolute shock. Pathetic price, no projection, and smells like a slightly off nivea moisturizer. The worst in the line, but it was expected from Kurkdjian and his "artistic" veins.
A full wear is definitely where it’ll shine. But that can be said for any fragrance tho. I will say that yes it’s still on the lighter side. But I could still detect it. Even a day later. The projection is light to moderate. So not strong, but not super weak. This will probably most likely be best for the summer time since it’s a more aquatic version of Sauvage. Which is funny since it’s water based. Do I see this being a big hit? That’s a bit subjective. Because people did have some negative feelings towards the original Sauvage Parfum. Saying that the opening was nice, but the longevity and performance was terrible. But now people have grown to like it. This one will probably be the same thing. Keyword: probably
I tried it in a sephora and (i can be wrong) but after 15 minutes it reminded me Jaguar pour homme, the notes listed may differ (i didn't look) but it smell very similar to me.

How does a perfumer as well known as Francis. Get to the final stage of this release and think it’s a smart choice? I think they should have attempted a new line instead of tying it in with sauvage.
I agree. I'm sure perfumers have egos, the same as musicians and movie stars, and I'd have expected him to want to blaze in and make a mark of his own, rather than taking over a well-established line which tbh didn't really need another flanker.
I hear you. Unfortunately with the ''big conglomerates'' in this case LVMH - they pretty much tell perfumers what they want and that's that. I don't believe FK had much to say in the final construction of the scent, sadly!

That release is more of an art piece than a fragrance piece. You pay for the Baccarat crystal, not for the fragrance. It’s just Sauvage Elixir, in a very very very fancy art piece bottle. Baccarat is a crystal company, not a fragrance company

I heard nothing but BAD reviews from this one. I haven’t smelled this one but I bet if it had alcohol in it nobody would be complaining. Why they would choose to do this ? I have no clue I spray most of my cologne on my cloths so this was a hell no from the beginning for me. Designers are going to price themselves out because niche is way better.
Unpopular opinion I know but MFK as a perfumer is highly overrated. Looks like Dior invested in technology that ultimately didn’t work but couldn’t turn back with a loss so they churned it out anyway, oops.

I agree! This feels mature, well balanced and a scent to be discovered instead of being an abrasive ambroxan headache inducing mess.
Uh no as soon as you gonna sweat, especially in the gym, the 'perfume' just flies off. Terrible

This thing lasts and yes, it smells different but it's really good. Not a flop at all. Get it at discounters and you won't be sorry.

I hate to say . I bought it full retail and 2 days later returned it . I really wanted to love it as the only savage I have is elixer which I LOVE.
Elixir is far better - this is not even in the same world as Elixir!

I had edp which I liked but then bought parfum which is a level above,not going anywhere near the new one..

Missing Demachy already
I like it. Fresher and less season/event dependent than sauvage elixir (elixir is still my favourite). The downside being the atomiser isn’t great

That release is more of an art piece than a fragrance piece. You pay for the Baccarat crystal, not for the fragrance. It’s just Sauvage Elixir, in a very very very fancy art piece bottle. Baccarat is a crystal company, not a fragrance company

I disagree! This fragrance last on me for about 7-8 hours. The projection was impressive for about 3-4 hours.

I heard nothing but BAD reviews from this one. I haven’t smelled this one but I bet if it had alcohol in it nobody would be complaining. Why they would choose to do this ? I have no clue I spray most of my cologne on my cloths so this was a hell no from the beginning for me. Designers are going to price themselves out because niche is way better.
Dior has hired a subpar perfumer whose own creations are meh. Unsurprisingly, all of his Dior creations have been meh as well.
Unpopular opinion I know but MFK as a perfumer is highly overrated. Looks like Dior invested in technology that ultimately didn’t work but couldn’t turn back with a loss so they churned it out anyway, oops.
I admit i NEVER get political but i can't hold back now. A fragrance for woke people, a horrible idea...both the fragrance and its public.
