A suggestion for a future poll in the community tab: after some time, to ask which new perfume in 2021 people consider the best release (maybe only designers options). So far I'd definitely vote for Elixir. In fact I think it's one of the best releases not only for 2021 but in the last few years
I think Elixir will definitely quiet many snobs that used to laugh off the Sauvage line. This one is a solid fragrance even on the artistic aspect of it.
I'm not a huge fan of the Sauvage line in general, but I hear this one is different enough to separate it from the rest, so I'm interested to try it. Thanks Max!
It’s funny how many reviewers mentioned that if you love the edt but weren’t favorable on the other flankers that there was a good chance you may not like this new release. Although that was the case for me (not disliking elixir, I mean with only loving the edt and not caring for the flankers), I ended up LOVING elixir at first sniff when I smelled it. I was immediately blown away which for me having about 10 fragrances (2 niche and 8 designer) of scent profiles I’ve gravitated towards that I favored the most from those profiles, it’s not easy for me these days to find a fragrance that I love at first sniff that makes me go “wow”. I’ve been into fragrances for the last 6 years now. Although 10 may be small for my collection I don’t have the need to buy hundreds of them as I’ve found the specific type of scents I like/go towards. I still go out and about smelling new released fragrances just to see if they are any good and if they could replace any of my current ones especially with flankers off fragrances I own. I would never replace the edt version of Sauvage since imo it’s always a classic to wear that you can never go wrong with. That being said, elixir I agree is so much more mature and that’s exactly why I like it. I’m only 20, but I’m very mature for my age and this will compliment my personality well. The scent reminded me of a Christmas candle, but in a very good way. Not like it actually smells like one, but in the sense where it reminded me of the type of Christmas candles my mom lights in our house during the Christmas season when I’m home for the holidays. It gave me a nostalgic feeling with that and so therefore apart from loving the scent and how well it performs overall, it’s the nostalgia of reminding me of being home for the holidays that has solidified my decision to buy a bottle. I will wait a bit tho for sales to come around like on Black Friday since the price is a little high for me currently.
I got the elixir last week and its amazing. Lasts forever and projects like a beast for the first 3 to 4 hours. Easily one of the best designer fragrances to come out in a while.
This juice is absolutely unreal. Masterpiece. Think red twizzlers, nutmeg, rich potent and vibrant sandalwood oil with pine in the dry down. I went to the mall to smell the BORNG ADG EDP but came across and fell for this instead. This outshines the EDP - sort of like a flanker of the edp. EDP smells like a sweet spicy stew where as this smells like sweet rich vintage sandalwood table. Less edible. Gorgeous. The best and most potent sandalwood I have ever smelled in a cologne.
Lavender! Thats what it is. I was describing it as a fizzy grape soda. Even in the dry down on my skin. I'm not sure if I love this version. But at the same time I can't stop smelling it!
Elixir is amazing. Just came out September first in China and it is 188 usd here. I got it and I loveeeeee it. Omg it smells amazing and I been getting compliments from men and women lol

Just got my bottle of Elixir. Batch from 11-23. To me it's the most high end luxury shaving cream smell. That's what I get. Bow tie fragrance guy said it best. Smells 20% sauvage edt, the rest, burberry london.
There was another iteration, the second one after Sauvage EDT (2015), it's Sauvage Very cool spray (2017). It's the most zesty of them all. It's my favorite from the line.
Hate the Edt with its strong ambroxan dry down. Took your advice and bought Dossier’s version which is a blend of the Edt and Edp. Would love to try this one as it’s richer, darker and deeper. Choose me!
I recently smelled Elixir at my local mall and I fell in love with it! Up on my list to buy the full bottle but won’t be anytime soon, sadly. I’d love a decant!
Great review and I enjoyed it and I like this fragrance and it's a 10 out of 10 and it's the best one from the line in my opinion and I'm going to get a bottle soon and have a blessed day
@@Chernabog123 EDT can be worn any time of the year, but VCS is a summer killer and it’s performance just as good on my skin. Overall, to simplify, if you could only buy one Sauvage then get the EDT. If you have the budget and the means to purchase two, the EDP and VCS combo is unmatched.
I have to admit it I was dead wrong on this one from when I smelled it from jump I didn't like it but maybe it was bcuz that day it was very hot here in the NY area! Bought a different fragrance that day but salesperson gave me a sample couple weeks later I tried it at my house w AC pumping and OMFG 😱😱😱 INSTANTLY FELL IN LOVE GREAT PROJECTION AND LONGEVITY THIS IS F ING AMAZING CAUGHT A DEAL AT MACY'S HAD TO GET IT!!! IN THE FALL AND WINTER IT WILL BE A MONSTER....✌❤🙏
Personally I love Sauvage Very Cool spray for the Summer and Sauvage Parfum for the winter. The Very Cool spray is underrated and unfortunately isn’t talked about enough on UA-cam. I love that it takes that harsh metallic smell away but the famous Sauvage dna is still very present. And the Parfum I really like for cool weather because it’s got a nice depth to it. Also one you don’t hear of much since Elixer came out.

When I Bought Savage edp I got some little sample Viles with it and why is it the samples I got i like better than my bottle ? My sample when I spray it its bright and It immediately grabs your attention and you think that smells good. My bottle is kinda dull when you spray it and does not grab your attention 🤔 i guess my sample is Is stronger
My only question is, if Dior can afford the best talent in the world to make this fragrances, why all the other flankers, I don't like Sauvage, not saying it's bad, but compared to this, it's obviously of lesser creativity and quality, so why? Just to make money? So sad it's the way of the world now, companies used to make products that they where proud of, not money grabbers. I definitely try this one. Thank you Max!!!

I love adore obey Dior Elixir but I don't rly like Sauvage edt/edp. Why Elixir is in Sauvage line? This scent is higher category, smells like million dollars. Have my 60ml and hunt for next bottle discount. I want to have supplies before reformulation or discontinued...
Just like max I own EDT, EDP and Elixir. Don’t like the Parfum (Women like the parfum the least as well). My favorite is now the Elixir with the EDP in second place.
@@demzsimsek2889 no sir, some frag heads do, but women do not. You can even check some vs on UA-cam with regular women, on one in particular they rated the 3 Sauvages EDP won, EDT was 1 point behind and parfum literally got 0 votes whatsoever.

@@demzsimsek2889 okay great question so the EDP is basically the deeper, more “mature” version of the EDT. It’s not quite as loud as the EDT but it lasts longer than the EDP on skin. Elixir is a completely different animal it almost smells like it isn’t apart of the Sauvage line at all. It is polarizing and lasts forever. For point of reference I sprayed it one time on the box it came in when I bought it and the spot STAYED WET AND SHINY for 2 and a half days! Then once it dries I was able to smell it forever and still can smell it on the box. If you want the same thing just more well rounded and mature get EDP, if you want a new legendary fragrance with unmatched lasting power get Elixir.
Sweeter (but not over sweet) than BDJ. Smells spicier but definitely in the same bracket as that. If you like Beau De Jour I think you’ll like this....

I totally agree with your description. First similar scent that came to mind was Zaharoff Signature. Also little facets of Spicebomb Extreme (Minus vanilla) & maybe Toy boy (Minus rose) I only smelled in store tho. Would love to win a decant. Peace
Sauvage elixir reminds me of a 199x shaving cream mixed with a modern spicy oriental twist to it. But a bit unbalanced - too much projection not enough longevity. I think it will smell “more niche” to people who are used to just Sauvage or Bleu de Chanel. I mean it’s a “why not”

Dior edp is still the best even though elixir is unique,but the yummiest comes from edp
I smelled the new dior sauvage elixir from a hudson bay perfume store and it is an amazing perfume like the original Dior sauvage edt.

I like EDT but I don’t LOVE it i think their are better options, i like fragrance with heavy projection so I’d like to try it.

Don't think you'll like elixir if you like the edt. Well personally I like neither, but elixir is wayyyy too mature licorice-heavy.

I didn’t like it, way to funky and tart for me. Overloaded with cinnamon. There so many other fall fragrances that knock this out of the park.

They are all fabulous but the Elixir just blew me away with its depth. Love it.

Sauvage elixir seems To be of high quality. Not really fan of the whole line otherwise except the Eau de Parfum smells nice. So count me in
