WoW..I just loved this video " Jim"..Such a beautiful place under $10 a night. I really hope they get more visitors.I could stay there a month and just relax.Would like to see the other rooms also. Thanks Tim from Nova Scotia canada ❤❤❤
Wow Tim, what a wonderful and lovely lady. A beautiful place too, Aren't you glad you decided to stay? Good choice. I hope your video brings business to her fantastic place.
I’m glad you ended up staying at the resort even though there was no air conditioning. You ended up with a great conversation with the owner. Bless you for not correcting her when she called you something else. Loved the video.
I’ve migrated to the US in 1978, will be finally retiring next year after having worked as a Registered Nurse since 1986. I will definitely visit her resort for a length of time. Thank you for sharing your videos, I’m able to see more interesting and awesome places that are not commonly traveled to.
I'm enjoying the interviews of the owners of the establishment also...I got an inside look of what the establishment is offering to their visitors...bravo
you can tell folks enjoyed this...what was almost a loss due to heat and exhaustion of riding to Ilyn's turned out to be a very successful video...29K views und counting :)
I moved up to Idaho from so cal 4 years ago. Total night and day difference. I never look back. Wish I'd known there was something else besides the desert of Southern California. Now I live where there's 4 seasons that work like clockwork, people look out Fer one another, way lower crime,I don't have people begging for money in front of every store, and I can go fishing 5 minutes away from my home. Life kinda forced me here, and I'm glad it worked out this way.
I enjoy your Philippine adventures Tim… keep going! I’m a Filipino living in SOCAL USA but I’m living my Philippine life vicariously through you Tim! Funny thought, I just passed through the playground Chrissy and Dale played through near Newport yesterday when they last visited last winter…
Dude another great video. What is interesting as a New Yorker is this as simple as it gets and a person can just relax and destress and the price is nothing. Sure the rooms are basic but they do have a bathroom. Thanks Tim
Very enjoyable video 👍 and that Ilyn homestay with the charming owner/hostess really was one of those hidden gem´s that grows as the eye gets used to it -a lot of bang for the buck, and a perfect place for a week´s stay (or hide 😅) away from stresses!
Riding a classic motorbike through the mountains of Northern Philippines is an unforgettable experience. It brings us wonderful moments and beautiful memories.
I love what I am seeing about you now. Less nasty mouth, no critiques and less war- like. That’s what Filipinos want. Don’t copy other expats blogs. We love plain blogging. Showing us places, people, nature etc. and most of all, your face skin smooth again. Ever keep and maintain that. Enjoy…
Tim your living the dream. Your an actual explorer the way nature intended. appreciate the content and looking forward to having a beer with you soon. I'm retired and already have my passport!
That homestay place is a lot nicer than some hotels or inns seen in bigger cities or towns. The layout of the resort and build of the structures show some care was taken.
husband speaking age 81, have great fun on the bike trip, just don't get lost and no gas. When I rode my Honda 450 ( hind sight, I wish I had gotten the 500 ) on my ride from Wash. State to Ark. I had a 1 gal canteen that I put gas in to carry in reserve) Some roads in the U.S. are long and not much in-between towns.
Been living in Ilocos Norte for 58 years but I've never been into that remotest town,Adams. We passby Viven hotel last night where you were staying in the city.
Its good you showed that homestay, looked quite nice actually,. It probably will grow even more later. Owner sems nice and all staff. Also good affordable prices.
The best roadtrip is the North Luzon loop. It starts in Clark airbase to Baguio to LA Union, ilocos then Cagayan, Isabela , Quirino, Aurora and back to Clark. There are a lot of tourist attractions along the way.
You are welcome visiting me here in Lipa city on your way back home Tim..im a Swedish vlogger who lives here in PH..dan and cha is the name of my vlog..😊
It's good for all members of a family to explore as a unique person and then bring their discoveries back to the family to enrich everyone 😊😊🎉🎉 It is like flowers blooming in a field in a spring rain❤
Kudos to you Tim for being a brave solo adventurer . Thats a great sounding waterfalls .. you should have just dived into the water . With just your pants . No one else there except that one guy and a few kids . You could have dried up easily after .
Awesome vid. Heard there’s a winery in the area. The sound of the river flowing and the water fall, fresh veggies would definitely reset anyone’s mind and body. Mahalo for your service 🇺🇸 🫡 🤙🏾
Tim, if you come back down on the West Side of the island youll come through Ilocos Sur. I got a room for you at no cost. Youll be a welcome guest here. I got plenty of room with an Air con. Let me know. Enjoy
Hi Tim, first time to see your channel, I enjoyed your video of the homestead, as a life long motorcyclist, married to a filipina also born in Leyte I am also ex Army, I found many things in common, I just returned from the Philippines last Tuesday and enjoyed planning in my head a trip on a bike in the Philippines , stay safe and thanks. Ian
#2 Perhaps most fun was on my bike, traveling alone. You always meet such nice folks on a bike, all bikers in the U.S. will wave at you as they are going the opposite direction. I had a sleeping bag, ground cloth, tarp that I could tie to the bike and anchor to the ground like a little tent and slept in that. I went through Yellowstone Nat'l Park, Custer's Battle Field, Mt. Rushmore, The Mormon Temple, and all before GPS and Waze. How I never got lost still amazes me. I couldn't do it today.
In 1995 I was married and owned a home in Laguna Niguel near the Ritz Coast, a Porsche, a Range Rover and was making 250K/yr. Forward five years and a divorce, after having to sell the house, the cars and quitting the job. I found myself taking a ice bucket challenge shower, in an outhouse bathroom outside of my now Filipina wife's parents house, staring into a Philippine jungle in the pouring rain. I remember saying to myself....WoW how life can change. I've been married for 10 years and never happier.
This looks like it was a peaceful leg of the journey... till you nearly shat yourself on that bridge! lol the look on your face was priceless... glad you made it out in one piece *_*
And this is why I bought a delica hi‐top moon roof 4x4 with here in the Philippines... I don't need a hotel room I can go just about anywhere. Can cook, sleep, even a (cr). If it rains let it..I stay dry. I take it everywhere and ferry rides to other islands are just as much fun.
Amen brothah, how did we get here, and then, 'we are blessed'. Showing the map at the start is brilliant, what a great perspective it is. You're closer to Taiwan than Bantangas, and closer to Hong Kong than iloilo! So much to see in Pi....Mahalo for sharing 🤙🏽
You’re so lucky to be in that place eating veggies that grow in the wild. Water cress is plenty in Hawaii too. Enjoy Ilocos Norte the province of the President of the Philippines. Thank you for this video.
how did I get to where I am today? I strategically planned step-by-step every point in my life to leead me to a stress-free calm life. Zero stress is the pinnacle.
Visiting mon repos turtle research centre, at Bargara and the beaches east of Bundaberg in Queensland , Australia, 5 hours drive from my lil country town, of Meandarra 4422 Qld, going to first Rodeo and Wow!, in Heaven, the people, the food n drinks, the atmosphere, is amazing, god bless us all 😂❤😊
That is a cool place. They put a lot of work into building the resort. About 4 years ago, FinnSnow (a vlogger from Iceland) and his Filipina gf tour the area where you're at, including an island that belongs to the Philippines near Taiwan. Have fun, Tim
Tim in 2005 I had the ideagjto drive my car alone up to top of Philippine where u are now I got half way alone in resort like y we’re have to eat wat r y they had I slept in a unfinished resort I tried to change a $100 aust note and they had never seen a aust Notting so she called someone and gay me wrong pesos after feeling all alone I got in car next day a tuft around go back to angles u Tim did great on yr tour of up north so interesting congratulations i relive through u my time in Philippine

One of your best videos Jim. I-lean seemed to stand straight.
Wow Tim, what a wonderful and lovely lady. A beautiful place too, Aren't you glad you decided to stay? Good choice. I hope your video brings business to her fantastic place.
Enjoyed this one
Asian mamas loveeeee showing their plants! I love older Asian women who are proud of their gardens! Lovely place!
I’m glad you ended up staying at the resort even though there was no air conditioning. You ended up with a great conversation with the owner. Bless you for not correcting her when she called you something else. Loved the video.
#3 Besides the beautiful wood work, the path ways, the inlaid stepping stones, so much work, hours and hours to put
that place together.
My favorite moment is knowing you served in the military! God Bless you and thank you so much for your service brother.

Perfect timing as we're going to Santiago Beach Tuesday then up to Pagudpud from Bugallon, thanks for information.

I get those "how did i get here" feelings every time i travel back to the Philippines, its nighttime and I'm solo walking to the tindahan.
Both ladies are wonderful and reflect The Philippines in a positive way.

Life’s a beach!:) still living in socal..but hate the cost of living..you need to be earning at least $300k here to afford a good life..
Make fishing videos
Wow Tim, what a beautiful area. The guest house was great. You look relaxed.
the best feeling of freedom for me is what your doing. riding in that direction enjoying the wind in your face

try to see also the beauty of RIZAL and LAGUNA...so much waterfalls and beaches too
I’m glad you’re making this trip. I was thinking of visiting far north Luzon. Hard to find a place there that is not overrun with tourists yet.

You need a portable quick connect/disconnect phone holder for navigation purposes. Better keep both hands on the bars for safety.
I had one and forgot to pack it :(

Want to stay cool in the sun wear white! Like a 30f difference.
what a treat - a wonderful vldeo- thanks Tim
I've been wanting to get that bike for a while already, is it any good, Jim?
No. It’s not. It’s labor intensive to drive and difficult to vlog in traffic.
What bike is that? Lookin fresh
@@TimKyoutube it looks so damn good though 🤣
You’re living my dream you SOB! 😅
Hey Tim, why don't you pack a duya with you next time that you can tie up between a coule of trees and save a couple of pesos
Nice to see the quieter part of the Philippines. Was there a K machine somewhere in that border
Reminds me of my Ilocano relatives. They just pick vegetables around that looks like grass to the rest of us. And when they cook it, its so good
