To be honest,as a Taiwanese, the whole world feels like a travel back in time. I can say all buildings from this world are quite Japanese style on the exterior with western modern interior design and layouts. The so call Chinese-inspired concept gives ancient Chinese city vibes. They all look like temples to me. However, I think it is quite fine that EA depicted the world in such way back in 2009 because people might expect to see a world with strong Chinese aesthetic. I would say architecture in China or even Taiwan nowadays are much influenced by Western style, so it is hard to picture a whole world only pure Chinese things unless they did it as an ancient city.
@@Rekowcski The Peach Blossom House is quite accurate on the exterior layout. It is called Sanheyuan ,a kind of historical residence structures on three sides of a courtyard both in China and Taiwan, I can still see them in rural area or as some historic sites.
The one thing at kills me about the Pagoda style roofs is that when you look at them from a ground perspective, there's always that unsightly gap on all of the corners between the walls and the curved roof... It looks like the roof is floating instead of resting on the walls
There were some nice Asian themed furniture pieces that came with this pack, so I was surprised that they didn't include those items in the builds. The only exception was the bed that they used maybe twice.
all of the build/buy items i saw, i was enjoying, i'd be interested in doing my own shang simla build and yes, they did the same with egypt! EA made an egyptian toilet and used it 1 time lol

Have to say, tho, that the marble-topped table is more malachite than jade - hard to say with the lighting but... while sometimes the green in both stones are similar, that dark, dark green banding is almost always malachite.
you're right, malachite is probably more accurate... it's also prettier than jade i think haha
the green fern house looks like it was designed to be as depressing as possible, i feel bad for the sim that lives there
I hope Cliff Tan of Dear Modern sees this 🤣
First time coming across your channel today and I'm loving the spicy roasts! Subbed! Would definitely be here for it if you roasted some ultra rich folks' homes in real life too, like moistcr1tikal does except for having opinions that go deeper than, "That's so dumb/ugly."
I am thinking of transitioning into that
@@Rekowcski That would be cool! :D Love the Sims stuff too tho! These vids hit me right in the nostalgia.
The last build, there's only an entrance to a bedroom through a balcony that is only accessed from the other bedroom. Why?!
There's a house in Riverview (I think) that does the same thing 😭
@@Rekowcski I am loving going through all of these videos. I haven't gotten down to riverview yet.
We need this for sims 2
I should definitely do other games
Did they make the windows off center on purpose? lol
why would someone do something so cruel?
@@Rekowcski, according to feng shui.)
I still don’t understand why EA is so obsessed with green 😂
i had no idea you could use it in so many places...
WTF is up with Sims 3 and the color green?? Are they trying to mimic the color of the Plumbob? Thankfully they started adding more color variety to the EA builds in Sims 4, but sometimes you’ll still encounter a nasty green bathroom here and there in the base game.
Sims 4 base game budget toilet comes in three colours only... white, black, and GREEN obviously
@@Rekowcski LMFAO Fun fact, I had a green bathroom with green walls, toilet and sink with black and white tiles where I grew up. Oops
Love your videos :)
Thank you!
how do u become a member? doesn’t it work on the phone? :(
Any button on a video that says “Join” should take you to that creator’s membership page
@@Rekowcski hmm, i can’t find it anywhere. could that be because i‘m from europe or something?
or do you have a link that‘ll take me to the site maybe? i‘d love to become a member

@@nastasiia2181 well, they didn't put concentration camps and drug alleys in Sunset Valley as well, so it's ok.
@@nastasiia2181 but Sunset Valley is based on America, and America is quite dystopian irl, with concentration camps, torture, drugs and everything. But sims can't be as dark as real life of course.
The Narcis... *SUS* House? ඞ
