THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR 1K SUBSCRIBERS and all of the LOVE you have been giving this series!!! 🥰🎉🥰 UA-cam has been a dream of mine forever so THANK YOU for being a part of this journey!! I can't wait to see where we go from here! MUCH LOVE! -Shay
I really would like to know what exactly you used for this challenge. I am looking for stuff to use to make a storyline of a family through the time. Could I ask you to share the list of cc items and mods that you have used? This really looks great!!! Thank you for sharing your video!! :)
@@SimGandr_PoW thank you so much!! There’s a link in the video description that will take you to the full mod/cc list on my tumblr with links to download from each creator
If you're concerned about pregnancy tests, they actually did have rudimentary tests using barley and wheat seeds that worked about 80% of the time! I don't know if you have the CC for medieval plants in particular, but for future legacy purposes, you might let them take a pregnancy test if they're growing (or would feasibly have access to) wheat or barley?
@@kosmichippie Of course!! It's wild how much they had and didn't have back in the day, and I'm more than happy to share some of weird historical fun facts that I know haha
"One of the earliest written records of a urine-based pregnancy test can be found in an ancient Egyptian document. A papyrus described a test in which a woman who might be pregnant could urinate on wheat and barley seeds over the course of several days: “If the barley grows, it means a male child. If the wheat grows, it means a female child. If both do not grow, she will not bear at all.” " This in ancient Egypt, not medieval Europe. Medieval Europe's "pregnancy tests" were more focused on the colour of urine and mixing urine with alcohol.
@@Emma-Maze I know one medical bit is that if you taste urine and it is sweet tasting, it is a sign of diabetes. Not usable for The Sims but who knew?!
This reminds me of the Sims medieval game that came out 2011.😍 I played it so many hours, but it had the same issue that every other sims game has, which is that it always crashes at some point and you can't continue the game play. You started as the ruler of your kingdom, completed missions, played as a maid or a herbalist or a witch and and.. you married prince or princess, had royal babies etc. Now that game was awesome! Good old times.
I'm on year 1319! I started with 3 brothers so I had side households right off the bat. I found myself going to their lots and community lots often actually. When my brother's wife was in 3rd trimester we would go to her house to visit cheat her to be in labor and do her rolls. If someone died the whole family including sides went to the church to mourn and my teens go to this dance hall barn thing I made to meet other teens to think about marriage. The teen pregnancy is in MCCC but you need to use it with a computer. I also use MCCC to check the gender of the baby so that I can decide on names early.
I LOVE that so much! I did something similar with a church lot for my regular decades challenge and it created such a sense of community in the game. I will def be adding in some family and friends and i might even set up at least one side household *just in case* 😬
You are starting in Spring, so maybe they had some ice saved up from the winter. Not actually, the game just starts you off with a fridge full of ice, but this is good for realist lore :)
I love this challenge but I was screaming about historical accuracy because food could be dried, salted, honeyed, smoked, and pickled. Cellars were really important for food preservation because they stayed cool, dry, and dark. The food going bad constantly drove me nuts lmao good on you for trying to stick to the rules but I don’t mind you fudging them at all hahaha
Great start!! So, for the death rolls, you don’t want mom to have a 1 and you don’t want 5,10,15,20 for baby! Then every time you age up, just refer to the numbers to the left of the life stage your sim is aging up to! I like to roll for infancy immediately just because they only stay babies for a day, but of course that’s all up to you! Cant wait to see where this challenge takes you! ❤️
I know this is a little bit late but the best way to know if your sim is pregnant without the test is to hover over how many days they have left until they age up. It will say pregnant sims can't age up
Why does Kenric seem to have such a bad personality lol arguing with the neighbors and complaining about the dirty bathroom after his pregnant wife throws up 🤣 You planned this out so well and this legacy is so realistic. I'm excited to see where this legacy goes. -subscribed
Could we possibly get a video outlining all of the mods/cc/shaders you use to make your game so realistic and gorgeous for this challenge? I’m dying to know everything you use. This series is a delight to watch on the look of your game alone 🌹
Thank you so much!! 🥰 aesthetics are EVERYTHING to me! I’ll be doing a couple videos soon on ALL the things…graphic mods/settings, mods/cc, how I set up my save file etc!!
I am starting up the regular Decades challenge in the 1890s, and I am working my way up to the present day. But I am definitely keeping the date tracking method from the Ultimate Decades Challenge because that can help me keep track of the years. I will use the Calendar to mark the years, and I will track everything down in a spreadsheet. I also play on Long lifespan but I am not going by the default Long lifespan. That will just be how NPCs will age up. For the active household, they will age up with birthday cakes to the next life stage for realism. I am also going to borrow the death rolls because I need to determine how long the elders will live, whether the birthing mother lives and whether the newborn lives. It’s just for realism. 😅 I am also starting with a 20-year-old young adult Black man living in 1890, the first of his family to be born as a free man. His parents and grandparents were all born as slaves, on someone’s plantation in the American South. His mom tells him that he must go out and leave the nest and seek his own fortune and forget about his childhood home. He is a free man. But life as a free black man is full of challenges and obstacles. 😅
I think they would call the "refrigerator" a "larder" back in those times or they had a root cellar. At least that's what I read. I am trying to do my own legacy challenge myself. Getting prepped with knowledge of those times so as to keeping it as real as possible. Thank you for the link for Windenburg that will be so good for my Legacy save. Love watching this!
I have tried getting into so many of these Ultimate decades series over the years but I have to say yours is the only one that I feel like I might stick to all the way through! I love the aesthetics of the save, your storytelling and your sims and how you styled them ❤
Have to agree. I'm obsessed with history and the sims so I try watching these series all the time but can never get fully into it. I LOVE her dedication to accuracy, and like you said the aesthetics lol.
This is such a cute game challenge. Its interesting to see modern ideas about living with medieval aesthetics. Back in those days the concept of a separate bedroom was not a thing for peasants. They would have cooked and slept in one area. Bathing and toilet stuff would happen outdoors.
Big tip, if you don’t want to use pregnancy tests for the realism but don’t want to wait a whole sim day (which is like a quarter of the year lmao) just use mccc and set it to “1st trimester” or “just found out” (something like that)😊
I've done this challenge and I thought I should mention that if you don't get the vegetables every day, there is a chance that they will start to fall on the ground. Really wish I had those medieval mods they look really fun! I'm excited to see how this continues
This is really cool! I love the idea of “foraging” and that would be a cool mod to have. The world is absolutely beautiful!! Kudos to the designer of it. Looking forward to watching the rest of this challenge!
i really really really hope you continue this because as a history nerd (and game of thrones nerds, i loved that stark inclusion) i am so excited to see how you go through all the decades!
I've been sick, in my bed with spinal issues, totallt bored and wanted a new simmer to watch. I came across your channel, and my goodness, this is a breath of fresh air. I love it! 💜🖤💜🖤💜
I'm at 1345 with the challenge and to be honest, I found it works pretty well if you only harvest once a season. It may be a bit difficult for the first couple of years, but once that first harvest comes in, you should be OK. That being said, my Sims eat a lot of fish.
For anyone wondering, the “fridge” she was talking about in the beginning is called a “larder”, and the word “ye” is actually pronounced “the”. In olde english the “y” in “ye” was just another letter or spelling to make the “th” sound. So “ye olde pub” is in fact pronounced “the old pub”
@@kosmichippie Awww you're very welcome ❤❤. I've watched many different ones but I love your play style, the concept/theme and your personality and voice. Instant subscribe! This series is relaxing yet very interesting. I can't wait for the 3rd episode!!
Now this is something I can get into! My game has been boring forever so this will be great to spice up the game! Thanks for sharing this! New subscriber for sureeee
This is great! I've been really into legacy challenges lately and I remember seeing this one online but I was afraid to do it myself since I saw it So Hard!!!! But seeing you playing it it's like living vicariously through your experience! Plus you're being so true to the rules, it's amazing!!! The world and the characters look amazing, thrilled to see how this one evolves. Good luck with the challenge!!!! 🎉🎉💕
I know that this is an old video, but i just wanted to comment that i really like how much thought you put into this play through 😍. I was at a medieval town once, where a whole village with a castle and a couple of normal houses was recreated from the old days. The standards were pretty low these days, with a family of 6 living in a house with one, maybe two, bedrooms in the lower and middle class. I know that it is pretty much impossible to recreate something like this in the Sims, but still wanted to mention it, since it is really shocking how people lived these times.
Been bored and looking for some sort of challenge that’s actually realistic and difficult. This seems so fun to do and I’m going to be downloading those mods soon
i just discovered you and i love how much work you put into this. I've always wanted to play in medieval times in the sims but i'm too lazy but i love watching things like this
fresh eggs can last up to about 14 days unrefrigerated if they're kept dry and out of sunlight/heat so it makes a bit of sense that they last about that long in the pantry.
oh my god I didn't know this gameplay existed, I thought it was so cool! And a tip (I don't know if you can because of the rules) but if you spoil that ball of dust, you can ask it to collect some valuable items for you to sell, I think it would be a cool way to make money too.
I’m so excited to watch this video! I just found it! I wish they had an expansion specifically for this type of gameplay like they used to. I would love to play in this way but it would stress me out to see some random townie with their crazy clothes and make up. I’m going to be getting those mods you have in the description! This is awesome
Thank you so much!! 🥰 the random townies definitely make my blood boil but for the most part they've been somewhat easy to manage. they do make an appearance in a few episodes unfortunately
my gaming laptop is getting repaired so needed an outside does of medieval gameplay, searched ultimate decades challenge by views to see which series i hadn't watched yet. hoooo boy you have so many views!! this challenge really took off! really like how immersive you've made the world with the mods you've chosen :)
Loved this first episode!! So good they both survived 🥺 I am not a big fan of rules so this challenge would be quite difficult for me to do! However it looks like a lot of fun and all the mods and cc males it so realistic it almost looks like not a sims 4 game!
I'm not a huge fan of challenge rules either so I usually just follow the ones that make sense for realism and toss out the rest. I'm sure this challenge will evolve as we continue through
Larder, the fridge cupboard is called a larder oh and yes dairy cows are generally milked 2 times in a 24 hr day. The top winning production Holstein (the iconic black/white dairy cow) was milked 3x a day. Since babies nurse several times a day, this mimics a hungrier calf and increases production. =)
this is by far the most interesting and cool looking sims 4 save file i have ever seen. this must of taken so much time and effort to put together. amazing job
ok ijust found your channel, and watched this entire thing and im hooked! this is so fun and i love all the CC. makes me wish we had time period options in the sims. so fun. instant subscribe!
@@hummingbirdchenThere’s a big exception though, depending on the context of where/how the peasant was living. A serfdom situation may have meant that their liege or landlord could’ve lent horses for field work or tilling depending on the liege’s decision. They may have to pay their way for the use of the horse, or a mule. It’s also possible that old/retired horses were moved onto favourite peasantry as a nicety.
@samcresp5440 yep that's right. An old plough house, or even a dray horse to pull carts, might have featured (and likely was communally maintained). The trouble with the Sims4 gameplay is that it assumes everyone will be horseback riding, but of course no peasant family could afford the saddlery, tack, shoeing and feed required to keep a riding horse. Still, it's fun to try to balance TS4 and reality, and I'm loving the series!
You can't have a medieval save file without some GoT references 😉 I definitely want to bring more GoT inspired characters into the future generations :)
Ravasheen has a composting mod which allows you to turn your sim's food waste and trash into fertilizer. Just thought I'd mention it as something that would be appropriate for the era and feel of the game.
I found mods for the following for computers: printing press, typewriter, spinning wheel, and loom. I basically get the computer style item I want and place the chair next to it instead of in front of it. This makes it so no one can use the computer unless I move the chair for them. But I can use it for MCCC.
Literally AMAIZING! I love Decades Challenge and so the Ultimate one. Everything is beautiful: the house, the ambience and even the main sims. Decades Challenge is one of the struggler challenge I ever watch, follow and done with my let's play! So, keep going & luck from a decades challenge lover. 😍
Thank you!! 🥰 I’m not sure if you like live streams but I play regular decades challenge on my twitch on Tue/Thu/Sat. We’re in the 1920s and it’s been more drama and so much fun! Feel free to check it out if that interests you 🥰
You can make flour and salt using the ye old cookbook. Salt u go to docks and get buckets of salt water. And flour is made with the acorns n nuts u forage
You will just NEED horse ranch and cottage living (if you don't have them). They are not expensive and must have for decades challange! Horse ranch is not with uss yet, but soon it will be. I also want to start my ultimate decades challange! You're inspiring 💞
I wish there was a mod that was one of the many types of ancient versions of pregnancy tests. Almost every culture has at least 1 “sure fire way” to “prove with out a shadow of doubt” weather a person was preggars (some actually did work but i think it was in ancient Egypt)
Im half way through the episode but maybe get a yard sale table? Maybe the one from jungle adventure would match the theme or cc? I use this all the time and you can market up groceries or pies/cakes by a significant margin if you wanted to but also a normal amount.
Hi!!! I really want to use the jungle adventure table but for some reason it wasn't working when I play tested. I don't know if it's a glitch or if one of my mods is conflicting. I'm about to record episode 2 so I'll give it a try. Fingers crossed it works!
I'm just starting this let's play so I'm not sure if you've already mentioned it, but I would love to see some goats and/or sheep from the new pack! It'd work so well a family just starting out, especially the goats. And of course, horses would be amazing to ride around on! I love medieval history and the Sims so I already love this series lol.
For earning money, I think it would be okay to use the wooden crafting bench from base game (I think) make furniture for your sims and to sell to other villagers.
Omg mate 😍 I just deleted my sims and all the mods and cc (with a back up saved of course) to try get my laptop more work suitable - but this is making me need to install it all again and make it like this! Wtf how did I not know this existed?!
It's so fun that you named the royal family Dresden 😂 Dresden is a city in Germany that was formerly the capitol of the kingdom of Saxony, so that totally fits!
I couldnt get the marriage to work at first with my game in MCC but I figured it out eventually. You have to set not just that teens can get married but there is a setting for partner selection valid age, they both have to be set to teen.
when i play the 1 is if the mom survives birth and the 5 10 15 20 is if the baby survives birth, 12 16 18 if the baby survives then it grows into an infant. the infant would then need to avoid a 4 8 12 to grow into a toddler and so on. also dont forget to butcher the meat and pick up servings for the butter in order to use it. you can also collect seasalt from the ye old sign instead of buying it and then i think you just have to boil it to turn it into salt
A few things on the death rolls... It states that life expectancy was really low and men didn't get older than 24 while women didn't get older than 33 on average...which is statistically true, but also hugely inaccurate. Like it stated before, infancy and child mortality were low, which obviously skews the averages for life expectancy tremendously when you look at simple statistics. Children that got to their teens had a pretty good chance to live until their ~ fifties and some could easily get older than that. Like, Africa generally has a life expectancy around the 55, but it's not completely out of the ordinary have 70- or 80-something people. What is common, though, is their high mortality rate for infants and children, which skews overall life expectancy statistics for each life born. Here's an article that goes a little more in-depth about "old" ages in the past in case you're curious: sc.edu/uofsc/posts/2022/08/conversation-old-age-is-not-a-modern-phenomenon.php Now, from how I understand the diagram, I think young adults die when you roll a 2, 6, 11, 13, or 14, but that seems rather skewed considering the percentage of life expectancy is much lower for infants and children compared to teens, young adults, and even adults. Suddenly having 5 options to die at 20-29 seems rather extreme when you know a 25 year old is likely to live at least another 25 years, no? Whereas with a baby, it's not *as* likely they'll get to live through their toddler-hood yet. I think baby and infant should have higher odds of dying than they currently do for a more accurate representation. I'd personally stick to 3 numbers for YA to die on, rather than the given 5, as I feel that'd be a better representation with the other rolls and I wouldn't want to bother actually doing the math for each life stage myself, lol. I remain a bit confused by the "birth" section for the roll, though. When are you supposed to roll for the baby life-stage? Right before they age up? Seems weird. Or is "birth" an extra qualifier for both mother and babe? So you got the numbers for their life-stage plus 1 because of the specific scenario of giving birth? I think that'd make the most sense, at least... If that's the case, both still survived, though, so you're good! Your mods list is very impressive! I love the look of your LP so far and I'm curious to see how they'll fare and I definitely need to keep my eyes peeled for a list. Edit: also sorry for the rant, I just never really looked at this challenge before and got supremely irked when I read that. My apologies, I didn't mean to come across as if I were attacking you. It's just the rules that upset me.
Thank you!! I love considering how things ACTUALLY were historically. I'm also not a HUGE rule follower when it comes to challenges so I've actually been brainstorming alternative ideas to the death rolls all together. I don't like that it's just like live or die at each age stage. I'd rather have something more built into their daily lives like they come down with a sickness or something. I do have a couple of mods installed where they could potentially get diseases but so far everyone has remained healthy. I'll see what ideas I come up with as we play through the challenge
@kosmichippie Oh yes, that does sound like it would be way more fun! While I do like some chaos and drama in my own gameplay and I don't mind the game giving me curveballs, I imagine it would really pull me out of things if it were so...clinically randomised with arbitrary dice rolls, even though surviving does come down to some amount of luck as well, of course. Perhaps you could use a blend of the rules with the death rolls and your mod conditions so it's more situational? Maybe you can give it a DnD twist, actually! In DnD, you have to pass checks with a 21 sided dice and I assume that's also what's used for the challenge? But you can increase or decrease your odds by rolling at advantage or disadvantage depending on how you've been playing. In the case of this challenge, you could translate that practice to be allowed a "death saving roll" when a Sim got through a life-stage without getting ill, for example, so you get to roll the dice a 2nd time in the event they die and if that's not a "death number" they're safe. Then if they did get sick in the life stage, you'll have to roll twice and pick the death option if it shows up on either roll. If you want, you could turn some of the possible outcomes into "they survive, but they get ill" provided you can cheat an illness in. Naturally, feel free to tweak the suggestion or discard it entirely if you have something else in mind, though. 🤞
maybe to counteract the extra day of pregnancy you should make pregnancy shorter. you need to use a computer (i think) to access the MC pregnancy settings but you can adjust the length to 2 sim days. that way they aren't pregnant forever
Thank you!! That was my original plan but something is wrong with my marketplace table and it won’t let me load items. Someone said it might be related to foraged items so I have to test it out and see if I can get it fixed cause I’d prefer that because you get so much more money
I'm enjoying this LP so so so much! I love all the medieval CC and details you put into this save to make it more real and aesthetic! You have inspired me to play in medieval era in the sims and it's so fun! Thank you for sharing your videos, they bring me so much joy! 💗
Your world and your sims look so good! I note that you didn't start with any side housholds, that's bravery! Regarding pregnancy tests - the sim will become pregnant (or not) regardless if you do pregnancy tests. They will realize themselves that they're pregnant after a day or so. Also, if they have the option "throw up" at the toilet they're pregnant. That you can check, and know before they know themselves. And you don't need to buy a basinett, you will get one for free
Thank you! Im starting a side household next episode (episode 5). They will be Kenric’s brother and wife so we have another Rosenthorn family in case anything happens to our current crew. I wanted to get a feel for the challenge and my mods before I had too much going on but now im ready to introduce some more sims!
oh yay ! I just started playing this challenge - literally only on 1301. haha ❤ i am not of a sub rn, but going to sub right now! and watch your series on the side on the side of my own challenge game play. How fun! I started with a Gen 0. Parents for my heir a YA and his twin brother and his teen brother. Thst phone over ride and trader seem like really good fines. I have a lot of the same cc, too.
So fun! I'm thinking about adding some family and friends for our Gen 1 so they can have a little more of a backstory. It feels lonely at the moment! Keep me posted on your gameplay progress. I love hearing how things are going in your challenges!
@@kosmichippie 17:53 no lie on the eventful really quickly had a death roll for the parents (Gen 0) The dad didn't make it. So, when I start a fresh save and start play a... let's call it a session zero. I spend quite a bit of time on my Gen 1 starts in CAS and their backstory kind of unfolds naturally - usually one sim day. I reset skills and back to zero after that for the challenge to start. I take pictures with the Sims all that jazz. Anyway, so I already knew my Gen 0 were going to have to do a death save / if they survive it - to see how many days they get to live. So, I let my Gen 0 have a quick woohoo sesh - one last time ya know lol. Well, I created them to look like elderly sims even though they are actually adults still, the roll if survived is what ages them up... but having a small family celebration I kind of forgot about the fact they were not "actually elderly." So... worst case scenario, they die from exhaustion, right? I mean death save woohoo sesh same-same right? Well, it didn't dawn on me they didn't get any moodlet at all for even remotely being tired... a yawn nothing. So, day ends. Challenge is starting... I roll my rolls, Papa Zero goes down in the death save. Mama Zero lives and actually asked to move in with my heir which is cool, because you aren't supposed to kick out parents living with your heir (show some respect all that lol). So, I am like cool-cool. My heir the other side of that twinning set they had going on and the youngest sibling live together, with the wifey, at the paternal Gen 0's ancestral homestead, and moms is with my heir, all good in the hood. Till Chica rolls up with a diaper over her head and then holds back a vom. I was like no. lol No... they were adults weren't they... k so this is all with mods ruining my life (overly dramatic sigh) Naaa I love the chaos!! But check it, this heifer-and-a-half ends up giving birth... to... okay-okay at first, I am thinking ... all good let me just roll with it. I mean, it's kinda sweet, I guess. Last hurrah and Ol'e dude still had it in him! Moms too. Good on them. She gave birth to twins. Twins! K . So. I made everyone so far... I planned for my heir to part of a twin set.... now, mods are like she is just very fertile, I guess. Ya know? She got good genes. She has those solid child birthing hips. Meh I was on pause just staring at my screen like... "Bro what just happened? Why you just do me like that?! " So, we broke everyone is sad. Heifer out here having a whole litter of children, UNDER MY SIMS ROOF, no less. Like I should have said No when the pop-up asked to for Moms Zero to move in with the heir. Girllllll.... lol So now everyone is *preganante and everyone is still sad from the Gen 0 dad's death, somehow everyone survived the subsequent birthing death rolls, and then the other family had a child before I even could see if they could and how many. Got that sorted no babies unless I say so.. THAT MEANS YOU TOO - ZERO MOMs ... that means you too! lol just being overly dramatic... so all that happened between 1300 and 1301. I am so obsessed with this challenge, now lol. Gen 0 Parents really did me dirty though, right? Good stuff, though - I live for it. I hope your game play is either as chaotic, more chaotic, or chill-vibes thru and thru - depending on how you play your games. Like I said, I have never come to this channel before, but legit - you're starting your first video Rn, just saw you already got out another video. So, it will be fun to watch how someone else plays and see how they overcome whatever the game/ the challenges toss at them. If you don't feel like reading this whole novella I wrote up in here... all gravy - no shame it's long. Have a good one!

If the wheat grows, it means a female child. If both do not grow, she will not bear at all.” " This in ancient Egypt, not medieval Europe.
Thanks so much for the clarification!! That's what I was thinking the more I looked at the chart. I'm so excited to play through this challenge!
omg this letsplay will be so good when the horses come too
finding all that matching cc must've taken a long time, but it's totally worth it
I know this is a little bit late but the best way to know if your sim is pregnant without the test is to hover over how many days they have left until they age up.
-subscribed
Uh oh! We'll have to work on his personality! I've been trying to think up backstories for them going forward so we'll see what I come up with
@@kosmichippie A Kenric redemption arc lol

Could we possibly get a video outlining all of the mods/cc/shaders you use to make your game so realistic and gorgeous for this challenge? I’m dying to know everything you use. This series is a delight to watch on the look of your game alone 🌹
Thank you so much!! 🥰 aesthetics are EVERYTHING to me! I’ll be doing a couple videos soon on ALL the things…graphic mods/settings, mods/cc, how I set up my save file etc!!
@@kosmichippie Yay! I want to see this type of video too! Can't wait.
Can't wait! These graphics are stunning
ooh this is so cool, all of the cc makes it surprisingly immersive! i’m definitely subscribing so i can follow along with the let’s play
Thank you! I love immersive/realistic (at least as realistic as we can be) gameplay!
Omg I'm so excited! I've been looking for someone to start this challenge 😭💖
I am also starting with a 20-year-old young adult Black man living in 1890, the first of his family to be born as a free man. His parents and grandparents were all born as slaves, on someone’s plantation in the American South. His mom tells him that he must go out and leave the nest and seek his own fortune and forget about his childhood home. He is a free man. But life as a free black man is full of challenges and obstacles. 😅
I LOVE the backstory for your founder Sim! That is going to be a beautiful legacy story :) Decades is SO MUCH fun!!
I love the aesthetics of the save, your storytelling and your sims and how you styled them ❤
Thank you so much!! 🥰🥰🥰
I love this, you did such a good job at making everything look realistic with mods. I want to try this now!
You should totally try it! It honestly feels like a completely different game
This looks so fun. Thank you for sharing all the CC as well~
You are so welcome! I'll be updating the list as I come across new mods/CC and add it into the game
Omg I'm so glad I found someone who doesn't film for 2 hours bc I didn't have enough time to watch it 😭
i really really really hope you continue this because as a history nerd (and game of thrones nerds, i loved that stark inclusion) i am so excited to see how you go through all the decades!
Whoa! The custom save map is so pretty! This challenge is already pretty cool, but I feel like you took it to a new level with the save and builds
Thank you so much 🥰🥰😍
I come back to this series ALL the time I'm obsessed honestly
I really wish we had stuff like this In medieval style expansion pack! I know we’re getting a build kit but that’s not enough.
I laughed so hard at "my Sims eat a lot of fish" 😂😂😂
Oh snap I found a new series to binge 😊
With all the CC the game looks soooo goood! It totally transformed the game I am so impressed
Thank you!! I was curious about pronunciation!
i know this is old but the cc is just ✨chefs kiss✨
thank you!
@@kosmichippie im just sitting here marvling at it and i can really tell how much work youve put into this, keep up the hard work!

Thank you so much!! 🥰
Eggs are kept on the counter in most places. Places that wash their eggs are the ones needed to be kept in the fridge.
You got me with a sub for having the whole challenge in a playlist god bless you 😩❤️
The birth roll is to see if mom survived and the babies roll is to see if baby survived
Been bored and looking for some sort of challenge that’s actually realistic and difficult. This seems so fun to do and I’m going to be downloading those mods soon
I was SUPER bored before this challenge but with all the mods it feels like a whole new game! I hope you enjoy it!
i just discovered you and i love how much work you put into this. I've always wanted to play in medieval times in the sims but i'm too lazy but i love watching things like this
Thank you so much! 🥰
fresh eggs can last up to about 14 days unrefrigerated if they're kept dry and out of sunlight/heat so it makes a bit of sense that they last about that long in the pantry.
OBSESSED WITH THIS. I actually just started my ancient egypt world and had the idea to move through history but I wasnt sure how.
Oooo that sounds so interesting! I would love to see how you set your world up for that!
Omg. The world map is AMAZING1
oh my god I didn't know this gameplay existed, I thought it was so cool!
Your set up for this challenge was so well done. This was such a fun watch 😊
Thank you 🥰🥰🥰
just found ur channel looking for a new sims series to binge! I am already in love with this ❤
Loved this first episode!!
I'm sure this challenge will evolve as we continue through
It’s giving sims medieval so I’m living for it!
Larder, the fridge cupboard is called a larder
oh and yes dairy cows are generally milked 2 times in a 24 hr day. The top winning production Holstein (the iconic black/white dairy cow) was milked 3x a day. Since babies nurse several times a day, this mimics a hungrier calf and increases production. =)
There is a "basement floor" tile that looks like plain dirt, if you wanted a floor that she could sweep for Bust the Dust.
Rewatching this again as I get back into my second attempt for this challenge 😁
this is by far the most interesting and cool looking sims 4 save file i have ever seen. this must of taken so much time and effort to put together. amazing job
thank you!!! 🥰
ok ijust found your channel, and watched this entire thing and im hooked! this is so fun and i love all the CC. makes me wish we had time period options in the sims. so fun. instant subscribe!

You should plant the apples even if you can't harvest them yet. The trees take a while to grow before you can harvest from them anyway.😊
I love these types of lp’s super excited to watch 🫶🏼
Can you imagine doing all this THREE DAYS before the horse pack was announced. I would hate my life lmao
I know right, UGH! 😆 But it's going to be great when they do come out!
Medieval Peasants couldn't afford a horse anyway, so the new pack won't make much difference to this particular game play
@@hummingbirdchenReally?Interesting
Your sim's home is beautiful!! Would you mind adding it to the gallery?
Ahhh, love this series already so much! Thanks for throwing in some GoT references :P
Ooo I forgot about that mod!! I definitely have to add that one into this save it’ll be perfect
this challenge looks like how Sims Medieval *should* have been [it was fine for what it was but it could have been *SO MUCH MORE*]
I tried to download Sims Medieval a month or so ago and I couldn't even get it to open so I decided to do ultimate decades instead!
she's returned!!! I can start the series all over again lol
Feel free to check it out if that interests you 🥰
@URBANSIMS needs to hop on this trend it would be so fun to watch you do a medevial lp
I cannot wait for horses!!! Fun fact, I grew up on a farm with horses so I cannot wait to incorporate that into gameplay!
I wish there was a mod that was one of the many types of ancient versions of pregnancy tests. Almost every culture has at least 1 “sure fire way” to “prove with out a shadow of doubt” weather a person was preggars (some actually did work but i think it was in ancient Egypt)
That's a great idea! I wish I new how to make mods cause that would be a great one for this gameplay
Whaaaaat? This is such a cool challenge/legacy idea. All the mods and cc look awesome too!
I'm so into the medieval times and i love the sims 4. This is great! Your voice is very soothing too. Helped me with my anxiety! Subscribed
Thank you so much! That means a lot. I'm really glad it helped you! 🥰
Thank you! The new pack came out when I was on episode 10 so that’s when I add in the goats and sheep 😊
For earning money, I think it would be okay to use the wooden crafting bench from base game (I think) make furniture for your sims and to sell to other villagers.
it would be cool if you set up a hashtag on the gallery for people to make townies for you and then you can add them to your game
Ooo I should share that in the next video. I already use #kosmichippietownies on my twitch stream! I love adding sims from the community!
Omg mate 😍 I just deleted my sims and all the mods and cc (with a back up saved of course) to try get my laptop more work suitable - but this is making me need to install it all again and make it like this! Wtf how did I not know this existed?!
Omg the Forgelabs RLCraft copyright-free intro music puts me right in the mood for organising mundane daily basic survival chores lol 🤣
It's so fun that you named the royal family Dresden 😂 Dresden is a city in Germany that was formerly the capitol of the kingdom of Saxony, so that totally fits!
OMG I love that!!! Thanks for sharing!
I couldnt get the marriage to work at first with my game in MCC but I figured it out eventually. You have to set not just that teens can get married but there is a setting for partner selection valid age, they both have to be set to teen.
when i play the 1 is if the mom survives birth and the 5 10 15 20 is if the baby survives birth, 12 16 18 if the baby survives then it grows into an infant. the infant would then need to avoid a 4 8 12 to grow into a toddler and so on. also dont forget to butcher the meat and pick up servings for the butter in order to use it. you can also collect seasalt from the ye old sign instead of buying it and then i think you just have to boil it to turn it into salt
if i could play the sims like this i would actually be interested for longer than a couple days
Hi! Here from Twitch and Discord. So excited to see this!!! I also just started sharing my ultimate decade’s challenge on here too 😊🎉
So exciting!!! I'm literally OBSESSED with the medieval vibes! I'm about to record the next episode right NOW!
Here's an article that goes a little more in-depth about "old" ages in the past in case you're curious: sc.edu/uofsc/posts/2022/08/conversation-old-age-is-not-a-modern-phenomenon.php
Now, from how I understand the diagram, I think young adults die when you roll a 2, 6, 11, 13, or 14, but that seems rather skewed considering the percentage of life expectancy is much lower for infants and children compared to teens, young adults, and even adults.
I just wanna say I'm here before you'll become a famous simmer/content creator 🥰
THIS MADE MY DAY!!! Thank you 🥰
maybe to counteract the extra day of pregnancy you should make pregnancy shorter. you need to use a computer (i think) to access the MC pregnancy settings but you can adjust the length to 2 sim days. that way they aren't pregnant forever
What reshade do you use? Your game looksss amazing! Awesome video!
To sell things you can try using the yard sale table from city living maybe ?? More realistic than from inventory ❤
Thank you SO MUCH!! 🥰 It really feels like a whole new game with all of the cc and mods!
"I don't want to struggle" and you decide to start the hardest (and probably my favorite) challenge for Sims 4? Ok. 😂 I really love your starter home, it looks so aesthetically pleasing! Your whole world looks nice and I love your gshade preset! I really love how mods and cc can just make it feel like a completely different game!
I mean, I want to struggle a little 😂 otherwise it's not fun, right? I'm having a blast though and I love watching the family grow through the generations. I'm also LOVING how it almost feels like a completely different game! 🥰
