Yeah, when I hear "Tesla" even today, my first thought isn't of the guy who bought the Tesla company and who ruined Twitter but of Nikola Tesla, the genius inventor whose great ideas were mostly stolen, ignored, or hidden.
I've always thought the house with the stairs was really weird, but I never took the time to look at the back or to pay attention to where all the stairs led. My sim would just visit. There are some really good occupied houses, and there is one really nice unoccupied house, but most of them are nightmares logistically - especially the one between the hexagon and the far left dome. My favorite is the one above the lower right dome - the house with the three circle fountains of different sizes.
I remember moving into one of the starters and I literally moved the kitchen to the other side of the house. It was a while ago, I’m not sure which house but it was wayyyyy too many steps to breakfast.
I think the alien green carpet in the last house is made the way to remind of flower field, BUT, there are no usual flowers in lunar lakes, so they think that stars look like the ones✨
I love all your videos. And I love the original Sims music in the background SOOOO MUCH!! I’ve never played in lunar lakes so I’m loving this inside look. Oh and…..Hiiii Kyle! 🐈
I will always use sims 1 music primarily (unless EA sues me haha). Lunar lakes is probably my favourite world so far... so different and creative, I’m shocked they can pull off an intergalactic world, but struggle with “normal” houses haha Kyle was very active in the background this episode haha
3:42 I think the choice of using animal prints and handcrafted stuff in Lunar Lakes is made because it's not necessarily supposed to be a futuristic world, just an alien one? They have some advanced tech from the work in the Perigee, but they're also supposed to be living off the land where they crashed. I think making it all realistic animal print is where that kind of falls apart. I think if they'd made it look like things were made of the fur and leather of alien creatures, it would have been a cool detail.
I completely agree. EA has no problems putting green patterns all over the base game, but a purple zebra or teal leopard print is unachievable for lunar lakes 😭

Ventricularium did the heart shaped build challenge wayyy before the game changers in sims 4 haha The Hive was an absolute delight, I want it... I'm thinking of marrying into the house/family or just drowning them

I hate that Elon Musk has ruined the name Tesla. Nikola Tesla was awesome and we shouldn't let the company named after him destroy that. Also, "Dina Caliente always has a leopard-print something" made me laugh so hard because TRUE
You might want to try larger basic windows (3 tiles preferred) and just try to add creative architecture in some spots (like eaves or balconies). Maybe try platforms in between the first and second floor to break up the windows.
I think it's a great world for everyone to play in at least once... just looking at "plane crazy" gives me ideas for mansions in other worlds, i like how big it is, but it plays so small

Lunar Lakes and. Midnight Hollow both stick to there ✨Aesthetic✨quite well, they are the most unique store worlds.
I think they are the two strongest for sure... it would be interesting to rank all the worlds at the end... since we are almost done
these are the only store hoods I have installed, I like some other towns as well, but these two reaally fit my gameplay and style

I'm curious, how do you feel about glass houses? You think there's a way to build them without the end result looking like an over-windowed EA mess?
