ATrying to clarify some info… some people were saying that it only drops few items using stasis. If stasis is all you are using then it’s probably because you don’t have the PROTOTYPE STASIS MODULE which you get by completing PREMEDITATED MALPRACTICE. You start the side quest by picking up the tissue after the fight with the hunter at the end of ch 5/beginning of ch 6. You can complete the quest before the first encounter with the divider. If you are only using the regular stasis, you can shoot the body with your weapons. Plasma cutter, flame thrower, pulse rifle work well but by far I would stick with fully upgraded pulse rifle

I’ve had people say that it doesn’t work for them or that it doesn’t always work or that it’s gotten patched or it only drop few items. So I decided to dig into it to see if I can get it to work consistently.
***THE METHOD***
1) knock the enemy down with melee using weighted blade on plasma cutter
1a) you can use force gun to knock down enemy
2) shoot the legs off before it gets up
3) stasis the enemy as soon as you see the leg fall off
4) keep it in stasis while killing off the crawlers
4a)if you don’t have PSM, you have to make sure you are shooting the body
5) keep it in stasis up to about 2 1/2 minute from the first loot drop
6) don’t pick up loot till the end or the glitch could end
Method works if you use force gun to knock down enemy and shooting the leg off with plasma cutter or line gun
* NOTE* if using weapons that have bigger size like the force or contact, try to move the body while it’s in stasis by running into it. If the body gets buried stasis won’t take affect
First and foremost the most important thing is that you need the SP3 which is the WEIGHTED BLADES. You do not need a fully upgraded plasma cutter. You can pull it off with minimal upgrade as long as you have the weighted blades. Some people (even I did) said you need the SP1 which is the HEAT ACCUMULATOR. After testing it for about an hour with different upgrades, I have concluded that WEIGHTED BLADES is the only thing you need. Seems like the glitch is triggered by KNOCKING DOWN the enemy and SHOOTING ITS LEG OFF before it gets up. One other weapon that can knock down the enemy is the force gun. Once triggered you have to keep damaging the body. If you have the PROTOTYPE STASIS MODULE all you have to do is keep it in stasis. Since it has DAMAGE OVER TIME, the loot will keep flowing. If you only have the regular stasis, you can shoot it with your weapon to keep the loot flowing.
I gotten the glitch to trigger 10 times out of 10 if and when I start shooting the leg while it’s still knocked down. I don’t think you need to shoot it off before it gets up but start shooting it’s leg while it’s down. In regards to how quickly it should be, aim to shoot the leg off before it gets back up and by doing so it should have been quick enough that the glitch should trigger. Another important point is that the stasis should be thrown as soon as you see the leg fall off and the creature falling back down. So it should be 3 shots and a stasis in quick succession with a fully upgraded plasma. If you didn’t upgrade the plasma cutter and it takes 4 or 5 shots then those need to be in quick successions also.
On the flip side, if I took too long or waited for the divider to get back up after I knocked it down to shoot it’s legs, 10/10 the glitch WOULD NOT trigger.
Like always limit the glitch duration to about 2 minute. 2:15 seems to be the sweet spot and 2:30 is asking for a crash. After patch .005, I was able to keep it going for over 3 minutes

how do you get the prototype stasis mode in the first place? what chapter do i get it?
You can start it at the end of ch5/beginning of ch6. After freezing the Hunter and sealing it away go into the middle of the room where you trapped the hunter. There will be Tissue Sample you can pick up. That will start the side quest Premeditated malpractice. It’s a long quest but you can finish it before the first slender man (DIVIDER) in ch 8. There are 2 more in ch10 with a store, bench n save, 1 in the valor and also 1 in ch 12 but no store at those places

@@TohGahr I have never tried it on the brute but my understanding was that it was just the one enemy…I did try with other enemies but could never do it

This glitch still works
Once the first divider appears or when you first encounter the components if you just run around in areas where you have been then more dividers will spawn and you can keep doing the glitch every time you find a divider
I don’t know if something changed with the updates, but when I was working on the glitch months ago I could never get them to respawn. After hours n hours of trying I could only find them in the fixed location in ch 8,10, n 12. Good find if it works
@@zoopmitty9601i found one that randomly spawned in the greenhouse so yeah they do respawn the only enemy that I can confirm does not respawn are the infectors
So I got this working today (11th/9/24, PS5 medium difficulty 1st playthrough), but not by quite the same method as described by OP.
With weighted blades and PSM, I knocked down Divider, shot leg once, allowed it to get back up, used stasis, then shot legs again & 'killed' initial form, which made it go airborne.
Then I used stasis again and it started to rain :).
I could only get it working by doing it this way, not by killing it while it was still knocked down.
I had 3 spare stasis modules, and used stasis on it every 6 seconds for about 2.5 minutes. This allowed me to get a total of 120k credits plus some ammo I put in storage, so maybe 140k total.
Should come in handy for the Impossible run.

Glitch doesn’t seem to work for me, I’ve tried all methods, and doesn’t seem to work, but the Plasma Ammo core glitch still works…so I’ve been doing that…which is such a drag…but I’ve accumulated 200k in a little over 80 min
Btw, I’m on Easy mode (wanted to experience the storyline)
Did you try my technique? My comment is a recent one.
Took a break from the first descendent to go n see if it still works…. N it does. Just like before, Even made a video of it. The difficulty might be the problem because the enemy takes less damage to kill, but I’m not sure since I only tried it on hard and above.

I have tried this with a fully upgraded plasma cutter and prototype stasis yet it didn't work. It seems to work with the force gun though.
That’s odd… from what I can tell the glitch works by knocking down the enemy… so if ur plasma cutter is fully upgraded that means u have the weighted blade which will knock down the enemy when u melee it. But yeah plasma cutter n force gun both work to knock down the enemy

How long can u do this before it crashes? Curious to know what was the most amount of credits u got from this glitch?
If I remember correctly it was upwards of 300K - 325K. With the new update .006 I can go up to 3 min before crash since the loot flow is slower. But to be on the safe side I would stick to 2 1/2 min like in older software patch. Last time I actually counted all the loot drop was on patch .004. Using the plasma cutter and force gun (force gun gives the most credit… 6,000 for 15) with maximum carry limit I had to go to the store n sell off things almost 2 1/2 times. That’s counting ammo for both guns, stasis, med packs of different size n 100 along with 400 credits

I have the prototype stasis module, the weighted blades upgrade, and still can't get it to work.
I knock the Divider down, shoot its legs straight away, stasis the body while killing the mini enemies, but it only drops 2 items.
This is my first playthrough and I'm on medium difficulty, so I wonder if that's the issue.
I'm also trying it at the first instance of the Divider. So I had to run past it to get the WB upgrade, run back to the Bench to apply the upgrade, then try it.
I even tried it with the Force Gun, but there's no difference.
Does anyone know if and when a second divider comes? It wasn’t working for me and I realized I didn’t have stasis prototype upgrade, but my save data is corrupted and I can’t go back before the divider.
I got the stasis upgrade now but I need to find another dividerrrrrr :(
There are several (5) locations in the game that you can use the glitch on the dividers. The location in this video is chapter 8. There is 1 in the ship valor, 2 in chapter 10, and a final one in ch12. 2 in chapter 10, you can separate the two…. May take a few tries but u can lock one in the hallway with the save n the other outside the hallway with the bench, don’t hit them in anyway while trying to separate them… just run away. Once u have them separated I recommend going back into the hall to save… the 1 in valor and ch 12, u don’t have access to a store so it may only be good to max out your inventory.

@@zoopmitty9601 gotcha! Thanks a bunch for the infoooo. Also where is the ship valor divider? Is that one easier than separating the two in ch 10? Also last thing: is the ship valor divider before chapter 10? I’m on chapter 8 right after I killed the first divider and my save corrupted. I’m hoping the ship valor one is possibly a divider I can back track to, if not I’ll just go for separating the two dividers in ch 10.
@@OlliePattzvalor is ch9: dead on arrival…. Which start as you go back out to where you killed Leviathan n leave Ishimura. So you may want to save before leaving the Ishimura just so u can rearrange your inventory or what not if ur not playing on IMPOSSIBLE. But there isn’t a store in that chapter so it’s only good to max out your inventory. So you may want to put mostly everything in the storage. Only thing I can say is save at each save point As you go through the level. you’ll come to a shooting range, the room before the shooting range, as you step inside you’ll hear the divider “groan”. u can do the glitch to have plenty of ammo for the shooting range.
Better chapter if u already passed ch 8 is the 2 in ch 10.. just take few minutes to separate the 2 dividers but we’ll worth it since u have the save,bench, n store all right there. If u do it there make sure u pick up all the loot from 1 before doing it to the 2nd one so it don’t crash the game early

@@OlliePattzyeah I’ve done it at each spot in 1st play through, NG+, hard, impossible n they all work so u have few opportunities to get it down…. Haven’t tried it on normal, or story.

Just these slender man (DIVIDER) enemies… Besides the one in ch 8. There are 2 more in ch10 with a store, bench n save. You can separate the two enemies and use the glitch twice. Just make sure you pick up the loot after one or u risk crashing the game. There is 1 in the valor and also 1 in ch 12 but no store at those places so before you get to them might want to clear out your inventory to maximize the loot pickup. I got videos on ch 10 n ch 12

@@zoopmitty9601 I could be wrong (consoles may vary, I'm playing on series X) , but isn't there a divider (slender man) in the earlier part of Chapter 9, closer around the area of the shooting range?

This glitch works in NG+ only?
I’ve done it on fresh runs it works on hard, impossible, and NG+. Have not done it on lesser difficulty
