I laughed so hard on this one.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Deb hun, you got it going on when you said, "Let's just let the rain take care of this." Im on team, Deb ♥️👍 LOVED, the shot at the very end, with THE BOSS ,holding the water hose 👍🤣 Many Blessings to you both, Laurel 😁👍🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lol! You two crack me up. I would have used a pressure washer, and then used the rocks. If I was just relocating them for now, I think I would have just moved them and worried about how clean they will need to be whenever I use them. It was a good laugh to hear you both picking on each other. Great team work. I hope your back is feeling better, Deb.
We removed all the rock from around our house, ran it through a screen exactly like yours, and then put it back in place as clean stone. Yes it was beyond painful with just a wheel barrel, shovel, and screen. Thanks for this painful memory 😢
We've done that at our house too.....and before we sell it, we have to do it again. The screen is at home waiting....Deb is not excited about that project at all!
@@PineyGroveHomestead I built a larger one for sifting larger (1+ inches) stones that I have used sifting composted horse manure. Worked great. And yes it's powered!

I'm not that good with the excavator to scoop without digging a hole! But I do wish we had a vibratory screen....they are price though. Thanks for watching.
I guffawed through this whole video because I've had this exact same "discussion" recently with my wife when I made a huge pile of top-soil when clearing for a new playground and I wanted to sift the top soil and use it for an area we're planting grass. We researched attachments for our skid loader that evening that would screen rocks or topsoil... they are all prohibitively expensive and nowhere seems to rent them out!
I have carried many buckets of river rock 1 mile from river every day till I got what I needed around my home, and never wased them causei let the rain wash them all.
@@PineyGroveHomestead It was only later in the vid that you mentioned these were going round a French drain - so my original response it a bit incorrect ;-)

Yeah... I would have just moved the rocks to where u wanted them and THEN washed them with water hose. Would have saved u a lot of time so u could do another project 😅. Btw... I cant believed u took all that dirt and dumped on ur gravel driveway 😮. What was that all about 😂😂. Oh man! U two!. Love is in the air 😅.
Deb is right pretty senseless project, you have hardly any fines in the summit bucket. WASTE OF TIME, or what we say make work. I love the banter though, so I was entertained. You need to start listening to the Mrs. You would have a bigger tractor building too.

Totally agree with you Deb! Just spread the stone on the driveway and let the rain clean the stone!

This was such a great video! Your interactions crack me up. I agree with Deb. 😉
Et tu, Brute??!!! Nobody is on my side. I was counting on you Mike!
When doing drainage like you're talking they make a paper you put right under and on the pipe before you put the rock on top
I agree with Deb. WASH them 😊😊😊
She was pretty adamant about that wasn't she??
You need a vibratory soil screener. I just built one, video is coming in the next day or two.
We need a really big one for our compost/rotting log pile!
👍 this one is a beast. 6 1/2 ft wide.

You too Joe? Man, I lost big time on this video!
Just a idea you could have used precious to load the screener with and the back and forth tilt function on the summit to act like a vibrating screen

Yes !!!let the Rain wash them. No.hes Abit goofy 😂❤❤😊

The screen seems to be to fine. Try half inch or larger hardware cloth or whatever you call steel screen in your area. Great videos
It's actually for our landscaping rocks at our house but a larger mesh would have made this job go faster. Thanks for watching!
A hilarious playful video 😂😂😂.

If it works, it can't be that dumb! In fact I like it. My wife says those things too. Maybe she's right, but you have to work with what you have
The good thing is she stuck with it! I was half expecting her to go find something else to do!
Deb, I agree this is ridiculous... and why the manual labor when you have all these machines to do the back breaking work?!?!
It's good exercise! Nobody is on my side on this one, apparently! Thanks for watching.

Pile them where you want them to eventually be and let a season of rain or two clean em.. no muss no fuss.
