Lovely to hear the studio version of this Nick. Hats off.
Absolutely loving Mulvey's music!
I´ve heard this song today in the radio while driving - perfect happy summer song
Bea Milana What channel?
And today, in Argentina, i'm listening 🎶👌
I seriously can't get enough of this song after hearing it from the first time on radio 1. Beautiful song
What a great tribute to D.H. Lawrence, this song is based on the poem 'Piano' by D.H. Lawrence if anyone is interested.
For those who don't know though... (remember to press read more)
PIANO
By D.H. Lawrence
Softly, in the dusk, a woman is singing to me;
Taking me back down the vista of years, till I see
A child sitting under the piano, in the boom of the tingling strings
And pressing the small, poised feet of a mother who smiles as she sings.
In spite of myself, the insidious mastery of song
Betrays me back, till the heart of me weeps to belong
To the old Sunday evenings at home, with winter outside
And hymns in the cosy parlour, the tinkling piano our guide.
So now it is vain for the singer to burst into clamour
With the great black piano appassionato. The glamour
Of childish days is upon me, my manhood is cast
Down in the flood of remembrance, I weep like a child for the past.
Thanks!
these lyrics are wrong
Can't stop listening this
Entendu pour la 1ere fois sur FIP cette nuit ! Très sympa... Comme pas mal du reste de ses chansons !!!
Heard this amazing beautiful song , on radio one the other day, couldn't remember who or what it was called..... just a cuckooo in my memory .....Thank god I found it !! BREATHTAKING !!
This song just makes me let go of everything. Just incredible. Thank you so much Radio 1!
this song softly became one of the dearest songs to my heart. it placed itself near my childhood. so far away and so close.
Looks like your moving up in the world with all this radio play Nick, fair play. Really great to finally have a studio version of this. Come back to Ireland pleeeease
Such a gorgeous song. Creates beautiful thoughts.
I had the pleasure of seeing this man live without even knowing how perfect his music was.... best concert of my life. Belsonic13
The German TV-Show "EinsPlus Charts" said you're song is the "next big thing". I'm so happy that I saw it, because now I know the song and I love it.
Just found this gem of a musician now. Truly such an addicting voice and alluring music~
Beautiful song.
Nice song. We heard it this morning on Radio 1. I wish however they mentioned that the lyrics quote the poem "The piano" by DH Lawrence .
BBC radio 1 just took me here, amazing!

The indie/rock Playlist brought me here
Heard this on Zane Lowe's whiles I was driving loved it and spent a good 30 mins hunting the song down! Also lead me to buy a ticket to the showing at Scala
Voice sounds similar to Ian Brown here! Great track
nice
everyone says that this song sounds like his song Nitrous (on vevo) and it does, but iiiii think its betteeerrr
Quality
Lyrics and rhythm are excellent. Nick voice is really uplifting for the song and for me.
Just a question: did anyone notice that melody in some parts is quite similar to Nitrous? Is it made on purpose? Thanks to answer. :)
Your not wrong. Same key as Nitrous and it sounds like the same chord sequence from 1:40. Still fab though! :-)
Really fab for sure!
👏
Not my usual thing.but this is a great tune.would like to hear a talented uk rapper sample the beat
finally found it...

cuckoo rue left me in no-mans land
kurukuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu :)
Anyone else hear classic Ian Brown in this? love it

Are you releasing it on vinyl Nick?
Got Scala tickets, can't wait!
I must've watched every version of this song about a million times each!
BBC 6 music brought me here.
All about xfm bro ;)
Julius Silvera Erm.... No.
Great tune. Something Ian Brown would do.
Unbelievable song this. Thank you Zane Lowe for introducing this little wonder :)
I love this song but what does cucurucu mean? :P
this music is so much better than the meaningless bullshit like Rihanna and chris brown singing about sex
anybody else think the chorus sounds very similar to "nitrous man"? still a great song though!
Fifa song if i've ever heard one!
get outta here
Sorry but this is just Nitrous Man with different lyrics. Considering Nitrous Man is basically 'Not Alone' by Olive, I'm hoping there are some royalties flowing that way. Clearly a very talented gu, shame he can't stop writing cover versions of the same song.
Sounds like Ian brown
Sounds a bit like Jack Johnson
BENE
Reminds me of Donnie darko a bit......
Anyone else think he sounds a bit like Ian Brown?
He sings better than Ian Brown!
I was thinking that myself!
Yeah, I just put this track and Nitrous sidebyside in audacity, literally the only difference is the chorus that he stole from that singer.
uhhhh is anyone else hearing Nitrous?
No need for the long intro - ruins a gid song
Amazing! Can't wait for more!
Love it. Will have to hunt down the album if and when its out.
