I danced until the words started singing themselves through me. My body and voice opening, opening. Each repetition of the song brought out something new... an urge toward wholeness, yearning for stillness, my mother's forgiveness ( I am an imperfect caregiver and daughter), the sense of togetherness in our humanness, the wondering what of our potential is lost to time, to our traumas and tragedies, the sense that these things are distractions we cling to because becoming ourselves is so fucking terrifying... My mom danced with me, more coordinated in her body than I have ever seen her, more caught in the moment of joy, in the truth and honoring of our realness. Thank you for creating this music. It is among the finest, most soulful and profound songs in my life. It inspires in me an obstinate, burning desire to show up, fully.

Never heard of the Originals..?? But I discovered this Legend that is Nick Mulvey around 2006 on a TV show named 'Spotlight' around 1am, also discovered Joe Driscoll this same night! I crept out of bed as the missus slept and got as close to the TV as I could with the Sanyo slide phone and began recording!! Volume slowly climbing and my heart melting over these Secret Stars! Underrated just doesn't cover it. Ps. No he doesn't sound like Vance Joy! He sounds like Nick Mulvey. I also heard Nick way before .... still @Nickmulvey I want the oldskool back! Them raw tunes I heard back then^ - Throw your shovel to the ground - diamonds on the soles of her shoes & many more that disappeared ?? I will find my terrible recordings at some point!
