Insta360 X4 and X3 Lens guard with water

- Hey peoples. So I made this video on request by another viewer who asked me if these cameras lens guards allow water to penetrate. I want to reiterate how I believe the original Insta360 Lens guards won't allow water to penetrate the adhesive because of how it's designed. I have another original sticky lens that I could use to answer that question but that's NOT what we are going to do.
These lens guards absolutely allowed water to enter and very easily. obviously your 360 camera is waterproof so although water got inside the lens guards, the camera is still protected. always be cautious and delicate with your lens guards while handling them during cleaning as they could easily fall and if they aren't landing on carpet or something soft, you WILL nick them.

I've watched this video and your video about the removable lens for the X3. I can't decide on which to get for my motorcycle. A ton of reviews of the standard lens protectors report condensation build up so I've been leaning towards the removable ones. What do you recommend?
Think I'd rather use something else for underwater shots.. Thanks for the tips on cleaning the lens.
What is your "go to" for underwater?

I notice the lens guards easily filled with water, would rather just not use them in the water, but then again worried about hitting rocks in the water
Mmmmmm that's a good point of view. But. Maybe wear it in the water screwed into a chest harness so you at least have control over the camera orrrr just do a dive case
