  • Detroit's Eastern Market is a treasure. Filled with vendors of fresh produce, meats, cheeses, plant and flowers, it is THE gathering place on the weekends for a the multicultural community that is Detroit. Farmers from Michigan, Ohio and Canada rely on the market; for many depend on it to maintain their existence, selling to retailers and restaurants. For others, it's a way to supplement their farm income.

I miss this place. I am now in Florida, and used to go to Eastern Market every Saturday. I really miss the white radishes, which you cannot find down here at all. Soon I'll be back, and at Eastern Market again. The vibes you feel just being there are as great as the prices.
