      They don't kill the animal by letting it bleed out, that is cruel; I don't think they were very clear on that so I understand why you would think that. They kill the animal first, and than let it bleed out before butchering.

    • @paucceri
      @paucceri 7 років тому +2

      I though that it was haram to eat carrion in islam -- hence the animal must be slaughtered in the act i.e. let bleed out and killed that way. Killing the animal first would make it carrion, which is haram. no?

    • @tosht2515
      @tosht2515 7 років тому +10

      +paucceri Most believe the animal dies quickly due to lack of oxygen to the brain. Others feel that since the spinal cord remains intact, some oxygen is still being delivered to the brain thus prolonging the suffering. Certainly could be true. I'm no expert but I feel that saying the animal is _bled to death_ is somewhat disingenuous and a graphic attempt to bring attention to the practice. Non-halal, non-kosher are my standard but I do enjoy halal and kosher restos regularly when I travel.

      I am a Muslim, but a casual Muslim, I don't ascribe to Halal, but Halal and Kosher do taste much much much better, for two reasons:
      1. More of the blood is drained, blood spoils meat. Look it up
      2. Since animals which are slaughterd out of view of other animals, it calms them diwn no releasing adrenaline which also spoils meat.
      I'm glad you dont eat halal/kosher if there was increased demand it would cost more.

    • @blablablabla1111111
      @blablablabla1111111 6 років тому +72

    • @mrx-yj5wi
      @mrx-yj5wi 6 років тому +17

      blablablabla1111111 As a Muslim, albeit a non-practicing one, the animal welfare for halal varies, as the animals are mostly just sourced from farms, the real reason why halal tastes better is more of the blood is drained, blood spoils the meat. The second reason is that animals are not slaughtered in view of each other, when an animal sees another animal being slaughtered it releases adrenaline which also spoils meat.

      @Abitamim Bharmal lol we are taking about halal meat and now this? You havent heard of the term "roaring 20's" in america. Basically 1920 was when women got rights. Not even america supported women for voting at the time. I think women should vote and there should be no arranged marriages show me some evidence that islam and not a country promotes arranged marriage and less rights to women. Use some facts

    I love how people are shit talking about halal when the animal still is dying, unless you are completely vegan you have no right tio say shit to people who prefer one type of meat slaughtered in a specific way, although, it seems like most of the halal meat is not truly halal, the animal's eyes must be covered and the animal should be given a slight rest in his closed eyes state, then get slaughtered with a large and very sharp knife that cuts through completely in at maxim,mum of three slashes, also the animal before being slaughtered should have an open environment and it is better to have animals that free range and don't get to have.... let's say...."liquids" pumped into them, also it is better to eat meat of an animal that was active, yeah sure the meat of an active animal would be tough af and wouldn't have nearly as much marbelling as a cow equivalent of a couch potato but atleast the beast gets to live it's life freely, as brief as it may be, also most halal meat is stunned so it really doesn't matter tbh.

    So pple here are very concerned about how halal meat is inhumane.....even tho any method created by man to slaughter the animal will make the animal suffer a painful death for a short period. I am also open minded.....so please tell me whays wrong with what i said as i munch on some that halal beef.
