one of my mistakes in my relationship with my now ex-wife was that I always tried to offer her choices. I thought I was being considerate, because the vast majority were small things that did not matter to me either way. My wife and I work like this, I discuss things with her, and she has yielded to me on many things she was not for initially, and I do value her ideas. She has also spotted some things that I did not see. We have been married 42 years, and we are both Bible believing and LIVING. Example, if one person has been tasked to take care of the laundry, due to their work schedule, the other adult is expecting for that person to hold up their end of the agreement. The same can be said for house cleaning, homework if there are children, managing the household budgeting/ensuring bills are paid on time and in full, and other duties and expectations that helps keep the family unit mover forward for the betterment of not one, but all parties who share that roof. It also covers maintaining trust, accessibility, and compassion within the relationship, and adhering to the advice that a house divided can not stand. And there are too many examples of who one or both parties in a relationship began to focus on the "ME' and not the "WE", and families with all types of constructive potential, just goes down in flame, with the children suffering the most.

Example, if one person has been tasked to take care of the laundry, due to their work schedule, the other adult is expecting for that person to hold up their end of the agreement. The same can be said for house cleaning, homework if there are children, managing the household budgeting/ensuring bills are paid on time and in full, and other duties and expectations that helps keep the family unit mover forward for the betterment of not one, but all parties who share that roof.
It also covers maintaining trust, accessibility, and compassion within the relationship, and adhering to the advice that a house divided can not stand. And there are too many examples of who one or both parties in a relationship began to focus on the "ME' and not the "WE", and families with all types of constructive potential, just goes down in flame, with the children suffering the most.
