The amount of heart of it takes to finish a fight through injury is a win in itself! Never a loss just a lesson learned🙏🏼 GROW THROUGH WHAT YOU GO THROUGH. On to the next!
Don't be afraid to use your TKD. I train Muay Thai but also come from a TKD background as well. There's certainly plenty of kicks that work great with Muay Thai, and if you're good at something never be afraid to make it work for you. That's why martial arts are arts. If you still train, I'd love to see more martial arts content of yours. Well fought!
what u said is totally true, the muay thai judges only like the traditional movesets and unless its at the highest level of competition they dont seem to take it seriously they just score it like its whatevs sadly. Dont take the loss to heart you did great!
Amazing!!! This is just the beginning, maybe a close fight, but I still think the decision should be for you. Congratulations, you are already a winner simply for doing what you love.
I am not sure how much things have changed or if I remember incorrectly. But I feel like sweeps don't count if you fall as well? Might depend on the organization. Over all I feel like you won the second round still, and in a more biased view the third round by fighting through an injury. Beyond impressive. I also imagine that pressure and walking backwards is scored more harshly in Muay Thai. Difficult to be so good at long range attacking but be aggressive I imagine. Really nice kicks and everything, very beautiful technique and quick! I am by no means an elite fighter, but I feel like drilling kicks to straights as you step down and cover distance and/or super man punch type combos would have been deadly here. I get you were trying to frustrate her though, so probably elements to your game plan that I have no clue on haha.
No shin guards… “it’s really not as bad as ppl make it out to be” I thought the same until my first shin on shin. Then I saw Jesus 😂 Btw love that you made a UA-cam channel!
It's the difference between a paid professional boxing match and an Olympic boxing match. If you watch sugar ray Lenard in the Olympics, you see even ineffective punches are scored if the a person gets hit with the white part of the glove. In his pro fights, you see the beauty and the powef of his boxing. Its the effectiveness of the punches that get scored. It's just part of the sport. Not that i like it, but i can appreciate the skill and smarts non the less. ✌️😊
dua you are such a beauty and a real fighter .....big shouts for you for finishing the fight through injury ..by the way in muay thai fights the scoring depends a lot on the style of fighing and they prefer to be a traditional thai style and movement , defence and blocking and especially clinching with knees and elbows
We are talking nearly 25 years ago so alot has changed sonce then, but i lost my first fight by split decision. I knocked my opponent down twice in the first round and ended up coasting a little the rest of the fight. He never landed a single meaningful strike but i learned two things about traditional muay thai judging that day. 1) Busy work adds up and 2) The first round is basically worthless and in a three round fight, the third is worth as much as the first two combined. Heal up quickly and good luck with the next one.
hiiiiii just wanna say love what you do it's great to have more women in combat sports, it's just amazing that the sport helps build confidence and with mental health, thanks for inspiring others
I think the knees are less about the knee and more about the position from what I understand if they land and you never throw a knee back they see it like the other fighter has got a dominate position where they can hit you and you don't hit them. Just match the knee back and you should be good.
Just watched you on The Casuals, Brit food sucks btw lol Now about your 1st match, I'm no expert but it seems what cost you the match was you backing up quiet a lot (I only watched it through this vid, can't find it anywhere else). Forward motion or "aggression" scores very highly in most Muay Thai rules compared to other combat sports. So let's say you outsrike your opponent 30-25 but you backed up the majority of the time, there's a high chance you'll lose the round (unless you really beat em up and they're showing visible or significant damage). A good example of this is Rodtang, you'll see that he sometimes get outstrucked but still won the round due to forward motion, especially early on on his career. As for attacks from what I understand the hierarchy goes Kicks
Inner thigh knees do not damage indeed and they should be turned and pointed inward to hit with the side of the kneecap at the end to deal significant damage so I'm guessing your opponent never really trained the proper ones and just the safe ones in training, in order to do them right you got to do them properly on the bag and/or pad holder needs to have a bellypad for it. "You train how you fight, and fight how you train." Also would've helped you to do only Muay Thai kicks but I did the same as you in my first fight because I was just fighting instinctually using spinning back kicks and hook kicks couple times in first round but then my coach told me to stop it so I did 😂
Nice!! I did my first taekwondo comp after 2 months of training as well and I highly recommend getting comp experience in asap. I didn’t win my first one but it changes your whole mentality towards training and you find yourself progressing much further post-comp. Good luck champ!
That sucks you "lost the fight" which you obviously didn't lose. I was in a dance competition and blew quite a few people away and still didn't place cuz the judges liked the energy of the other dances, not the technique so I just had to chop it up to that but don't quit!!!
It was definitely rigged lol all that matters is how feel about it and what you’ve learned. At the end of the day, life is full of learning lessons that’ll lead us to our own greatness 🙏🏻 You killed it 💯 keep going no matter what

Hello Dua!
Can I use 2 of your videos , I make short videos ?
Ignore the judges as an amateur. They are always clueless. You know how you performed, be proud of that.

Excellent video, I hope you put out more of these. ❤💪😁
Love the content, can you drop a video talking about your experience in thailand (specially the muay thai camp you trained in ?)

Looking forward to this. Welcome go youtube

Mashallah 😍
you train in Thailand?
you train muay Thai and the way you're beautiful 😂😂😂😂OMG 🤭🤭🤭
2:32 Definitely not normal and only suggests that she was struggling to sweat off the final grams, or that they'd try to cheat it somehow.
🦶🏻🦵🏻🦿🦾💪🏻🤜🏻🤛🏻👊🏻✊🏻🤟🏻
With takedowns if you go down with opponent you dont score any points
When i trained with angie wayne parr at boonchu gym goldcoast she teaches side kicks and said they score.
I didn’t know that! Thank you :)
@@duashkara look forward to seeing you in action again and i agree i thought you won 2-1 😊 🥊
