An impressive demonstration that once again shows the power of properly executed judo. Always nice to see this kind of friendly exchange between different schools of marital arts 👍
It is pretty powerful. And I've felt that with skillful judo fighter a few years ago, even with my experience on several martial arts (mostly traditional jujutsu) he did beat the crap out of me every time, so, yeah, it's a powerful martial art indeed.😅
This was the most ridiculously wholesome martial arts video i think I've ever seen. Kevin, being as humble as he always is - right alongside another monster in talent who's just as humble. You did far better than i could have in that situation, lmao, i would have been tongue tied from the start! She's absolutely incredible, and i really appreciate the way you highlight your guests and let them take center stage. PERFECT host qualities!
No offense. But I think ur giving her to much credit. He’s purposely flying on the floor for her. I am 6ft 1 and 200 pounds. I have had no training and there’s no way she could throw me down. She’s heavier and taller than him. So it’s a bizarre pairing and easy for her to do what she wants.
@@alfydarkdeadlyhaha I love guys like you! Bro size does not matter! It helps, but I have a friend who's into MMA, and weighs 115 lb, and is 5'4", and he would literally smoke you! Can you do more judo please Aurelia? It’s so impressive seeing someone who looks feminine and pretty but this good. Could you also do some matches vs men? I don’t mean to sound mean but it kinda looks like Kevin wasn’t trying to resist properly (when you gripped him you can see him make himself off balance and flail a bit too much) I’m sure you’d win; it would just be so satisfying to watch more real matches of you vs a man. You honestly are a bit like a real life black widow (avengers film); and a badass brave stuntwoman Hope you can film more judo
This video explains most of the “blocks” “forms” and “self defense grabs” that most traditional schools do, but they teach them all as strikes and blocks, rather than what the traditional arts mostly were…. grappling. Also, for the first lapel grab, the move you were looking for, is… the “Arrow Punch”. Grabbing your own lapel was cool but 1) you went inwards and 2) you didn’t use your arm to push away. So you go outward, your free hand is the one that pulls your own lapel and then your same side hand “arrow punches” out to separate the grip :) Great video :) :) :) Her height advantage is aaalot
As a judoka, i can say it's pretty easy.. Because judo has zero striking ability or striking defense 😅 And most clothes aren't as good for gripping as a gi, they'll just rip apart. Some of the throws and sweeps work, but it's not easy while getting punched and kicked. On the ground though, joint locks and strangulations are good, & judo is great for building strength (similar to wrestling), so down there the judoka has a chance imo. Would be an interesting series for sure!
Awesome video! This is exactly happens when you get grabbed by a judoka! Regular people don’t understand that once they have grips on you, you don’t have balance, and you get tossed !!
Great job Kevin! I love the respect and enthusiasm you put into your videos. Aurelia was great. Having taught judo for nearly 35 years, I'm really enjoying the positive energy coming from your community (YT creators and general MA and MMA enthusiasts) toward judo. Judoka grip strength is nuts. For example, some do a training exercise where they attach a piece of gi to a cable machine, load it with 80kg+ and hold it for 30 seconds. It doesn't sound like much, but it is crazy taxing on the grip. Judoka also need to be able to bench and row their own bodyweight and deadlift double bodyweight as a strength standard for competition. Aurelia is likely very, very strong. Of course she understands angles of balance, leverage, and body mechanics. Put it together and high level judoka and wrestlers (similar skill set) are scary as heck.
It's all in the gripping technique, it's not hard squeeze all the time. Once you learn the grip technique it's fairly comfortable to hold if nobody is doing a grip break and snapping pulls. The 1,5x bodyweight in bench, 2x in squat and 2,5x in deadlift applies to pretty much any professional athlete.
Lmao, the top Muay Thai dudes and boxers ain't lifting 2x bodyweight deads/squats and benching THAT much. She was rag dolling you bro! Better you than me! She exemplifies something I try to teach my students. When It's time to go, don't move like a question, move like a STATEMENT . It would be so helpful if you and her did a beginners guide to grips and breaking grips...like multiple angles and explanation! You two worked so great together!!! Thank you!
Never try to resist to the opponent. When someone pushes you you have to step back; when someone is pulling you out you have to push forward. Never resist but absorb the mecanics forces and always go with your opponant so that you motion will always be the reflection of your opponant's motion. Another point, when the person turns clock wise go in the same direction, and if the person turns unclockwise...follow her, follow until you get ahead of that person. This is the principle of absorbing that you will find in fencing, boxing ang wrestling (grappling too which is nothing else but wrestling on the ground).
Even for the lower belts of Judo, fighting a Judo black belt is like buying a flight ticket. You fly here, you fly there and multiple flights against your will. Great job being willing to stand with a black belt especially against a former competitor.
Fantastic. Aurelia Agel is back! Could you guys do more judo fighting every so often? It’s fun to watch By the way - what’s your weight and her weight? I’m surprised she can throw you quite that easily; I can’t tell if she’s exceptionally strong, you’re very light or it’s technique. It looks like you’re complying and helping her throw you; but if she has a big advantage (skill, experience, strength) then I guess it would still look like that even if you resisted and went 100% strength against her. Fun and rare to see a real male vs female judo match. Hope you can film more with her (or she films more on her channel). Would also be fun to see a match or few matches again where you start across from each other bow and then fight like in a real match. Perhaps it would look more real to me? It looks too much like you’re co-operating but I suspect she’s also strong and you’re light so she can manhandle you

I went on to study boxing, wing Chung, kickboxing, military hand to hand combat, karate, and Japanese swordsmanship. My dad was correct Judo is the foundation for all fighting arts. Even in Japanese swordsmanship you have to learn to fall and roll with a sword. On a different topic the American flag is hung backwards in that gym. @@jacobharris954 Yeah if you decide to watch JW4 again, she's one of the gray-suited henchmen/women in Japan. Her hair is worn tightly pulled back. If I remember correctly, she's taken out by the Asian female lead.
Some years ago when British scientists wanted to examine the grip and arm strength of prehistoric women in Europe 5000-10,000. years ago, they worked with excavated arm and hand bones, using well-known and proven standards and practices of physiological archaeology. The living "comparison group" consisted of female judo black belts and female varsity rowers at Oxford University. For more than any other sportswomen, they had the strongest hand-grips, and pulling/pushing power in their arms. The conclusion was that as unusually strong as the modern female athletes were in those regards, the "cave women" were even stronger from lifetimes of doing absolutely nothing except with muscle power, and hard work morning, noon, and night. Including after the dawn and spread of agriculture when grinding wheat into flour by hand (tightly gripping a cylinder-like stone and grinding the grain on a flat stone, going back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, every single day) became a task that was only ever done by the women and girls.
just mike Tyson's philosophical quote. punch to throat, liver, solar plexus, kick to groin, kick to knee cap (front, back, or top), strike to back of head/neck, such things should sort someone out who just uses grappling. thats why Thai boxing is closer to a real skirmish in the local pub or street.
You can see how well rooted to the ground she is such a strong looking stance. Some great techniques and ideas. The grip breaks with elbows look good and set you up nicely for your next strike. 🙌
my father told me never ever mess with Judo learned person. My father was Judo Master and also my grandpa (grandpa passed away) But I chose Taekwondo. I had reason for that. Cuz my parents were missionaries I lived in 4rd world country and I witness Korean Taekwondo Missionary personnel beating up 3 giant Russian criminals with bare hands. He killed one of criminal with single middle kick and damaged organ. Reason he did that to defend his 5years old daughter. Its was 1990s No MMA maybe that's why it was possible and year 1990's Taekwondo masters knew banned brutal arm breaking hand to hand combat skills from Taekwondo 1950's book. Anyway really never mess with Judo. I also witnessed Mongolian Judo teacher on street permantly disabled 2 giant criminals . It was right crime rate age and country was sucks. Judo is like magic. And very painful to learn. I really respect her. 5 hours training I heard rumor and very painful. PS: she was being really nice. Kevin made the same mistake I did as a BJJ guy training Judo, Judoka leave their back open and in BJJ you automatically try to take the back but if the Judoka has a good grip they'll throw you. Before you go for the back you need to weaken their grip or base out
Used to seeing such demonstrations where the hand position is inside the guard. In this case it’s a bad move cause she can grab his back to control him. Course very different from striking. Interesting. Thanks for sharing

Haha.. perfect break fall at 5:03.. good job
When she said what happened to your hair his face had me dead 😂😂😂😂😂
Quality Judo emphasises balance. Aurelian makes it look a walk in the park. For her...
just mike Tyson's philosophical quote.
punch to throat, liver, solar plexus, kick to groin, kick to knee cap (front, back, or top), strike to back of head/neck, such things should sort someone out who just uses grappling. thats why Thai boxing is closer to a real skirmish in the local pub or street.
awesome!!!
Thanks bro!!!
SHREDDED!!!!
Ah, this video reminded me of how much I miss practicing Judo... Maybe I'll pay Sensei a visit soon.
Her judo gi is amazing !! Where did she buy it ?! Judo has been stepping up their game !!
If she decide to do fatal damage she could kill any criminals on street
Don't you think you're exaggerating? You really think she can kill people with her skills?
@@robertisham5279 her middle kick power will able to kill someone. Surface she look adorable female individual so criminals like sex offenders underestimate drags her arm Yes she's able to kill him. But Street fight against street fighter? The answer is NO. Think please before you fuckulate with your dead brain before even you write dumb questions
Awesome demo. Thx.
“Judo is a study of techniques with which you may kill if you wish to kill, injure if you wish to injure, subdue if you wish to subdue, and, when attacked, defend yourself.”
- Kano Jigoro
A thought on improving grip strength would be to use those climbing walls that teach people to climb cliffs from tiny hand holds. I saw a video of a pro climber doing quite well in competitions requiring the lifting objects that were difficult to grasp.
She's incredible. I wish I had a daughter like this lady.
4:49 on is a freaking riot. She ragdolls his ass 🤣🤣🤣
That first throw was brutal.good stuff
she could be a video game character. really wouldnt mind seeing more of her
Wow, she has amazing technique and power.
She liked one of your parries. She said "Nice"
Very impressive Kevin
Great content!!! averaging 7.5 seconds a throw is insane. lol.
The number of times she said "Because I'm taller than you" made me laugh
Her favorite, I remember Ogushi. It's not an easy technique to pull off. It's one you have to earn to use with confidence. Many moving parts and in synch
those grip fighting techniques are awesome
They are!
Excellent video. I suspect there will be (other) men out there who would like a plan to be grabbed by Aurelie.
Deep respect for Judo and its practitioners - thanks for another video platforming a skilled practitioner.
Your next mission (if you choose to accept it) is to set up a judo-Shuai jiao friendly exchange :)
Where I'm from, we call grabbing the back of the belt and lifting "The Weggie" It's an effective move.
Hi Kevin
I have a brown belt in judo, and she would have tossed me way more than she threw you
Great job
Thanks much.
That front flip was sick ngl 4:51
Love how in judo feet just go flying up in the air and n out in a kicking context.
