If your looking for parts, this is where we purchased ours. If they are out of stock you can look up the part numbers and use them to search other suppliers. Stay warm!😊❄☃

This afternoon, I looked out and saw normal exhaust coming from the pipe in my shop. Later, went out to work, the furnace did not and will not kick in. 2 flashes, system lockout, failure to detect or sustain flame. Now that I've watched your video I hope to be able to get this going soon. Thank you!
Fantastic video 👍👍 Very well explained. I learned alot.
Thank you for taking the time to make it.
Same problem here, took opportunity to clean up circuit board , pressure switch components.
Thx for posting my American brother your Canadian brother 🇨🇦
We're in Southwestern ON ;) Glad it helped out. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the help. The suggestions you put forward fixed my Maxx.
Your welcome, glad it was helpful!
Great video that help tremendously. I’ve got an 80,000 BTU going on 8 years old and haven’t had many issues until this week. Runs for a minute is so and then has shuts off but fan keeps going. Got inside and did some cleaning and checked the switches. I got it cycling again with great heat. Fingers crossed it was this simple.
Glad it helped. Thanks for watching.
Thank you for posting this video. You saved my ass. I had the same 4 flash signal and was able to reset one of the switches on the upper switch.
Your welcome glad to hear it helped you out!
Thanks for showing the switch behind the circut board!! My heater is back up and running.
Your welcome. Glad it helped!
Thanks! Mine had the same problem.
Great Video. I have a similar unit. It's good to know it's very similar to my furnace with similar parts that are easily replaceable. Cheers.
Well this video might just be the ticket to helping me get my useless Mr Heater up n running again.
Thank you.
lol good luck! Thanks for watching!
Great video! Thank you sir!
Your very welcome, hope it helps. Thanks for watching!
Gave you a like after what you said worked! Thank you!
Thanks! Glad it worked for you.
Thank you

On my 80,000 btu big maxx have a three code flash. Big Maxx has been excellent on replacement parts for warranty. Have replace two pressure switches, gas valve, mother board, checked for vent blockage, and of course cleaned out exhuast hose port, and cleaned flame detectors all to no avail. Think I finally found the problem with an air leak from exhaust manifold from a bad gasket. It of course is back ordered. This is a fairly new unit so nothing was dirty. Can feel a gentle stream of air coming from around the 5-7 oclock position and the 11 oclock position on seam where exhaust manifold is bonded together.
Sounds like you've changed a lot of parts! I hope the gasket comes in quick, and it works to seal up that leak.
@@GreatLakesJunction Just happened to see this. Found problem on removal of exhaust manifold. Had a mud wasp nest in it. Removed and now everything runs fine. Could not see it until I turned manifold upside down.

Glad you found out what it was.
I saw another video on UA-cam that this gentleman’s Mr Heater would not come on at all, he removed the hose at the bottom and inserted a small screwdriver in the hole where the hose attached and I bet he heard a pop replaced the hose turned the power and the heater came on the the unit fired up.
I’ll try and find the videos and send it to you
Great video thank you...
I'm getting the 4 flash light and checked both switches...i even ran a jumper between the terminals to see if it would come on at all... nothing... just the fans... was working fine for a long time now burners won't come on... frustrating!
Cheers
Does not sound like a limit switch problem. The limit switch's are going to shut the heater down when a flame or high temp is detected in the wrong area of the unit. More likely the Ignitor or the circuit board is bad. I talk about this later in the video. The ignitor is cheap & easy to replace. Start with that. Thanks for watching.
I have the same heater. Issues are 1. Not continuing to stay lit.
2. It won't automatically keep going after first initial start. I have to move thermostat down and back up.
3. After lighting it will shut off after flame lights.
Where did you order circuit board?
I would start with this:
www.ereplacementparts.com You can find the parts here. If they don't have them in stock you can at least find the part numbers. Then search for the part numbers at other suppliers. Hope it helps you out. Thanks for watching!
Do you have to remove the board screws. If so what did you use to get them out in the back
I'm not sure I understand the question. If you are removing the board then yes you need to remove the screws to un-attach it. In witch case I used the same tool on the back as I used on the front screws.
How did you go about finding what circuit board you needed online or finding any part that you may need?
start with this
www.ereplacementparts.com, you can find the parts here or at least the part #s and then you can search for the same part from other suppliers. Hope it helps you out.
I just got mine all hooked up and it turns on and ignites all fine but when I turn thermostat down below room temp it shuts off but it continues to click on and off every 5 seconds like its cycling or something, the heat fan isn't on or anything its like the unit its just turning on or off, any ideas? It blows heat and everything fine, it just doesn't shut completely off I gotta flip the breaker
sorry I have no ideas for you on this issue. I hope you get it figured out ok.
You have the product number for the circuit board? I want you order one as a backup so don't need to wait if mine goes
Mine is #60105 from ereplacementparts.com Not sure if yours will be the same depending the size of heater.
Thanks for watching
I have the same heater. I have no blinking codes. Mine is igniting and running for about 10-15 seconds then shuts off...then the same cycle. In you searching, did you find anything that may cause this? I took out the flame sensor and cleaned it, but it really was not dirty. Thanks!
It could still be a faulty flame sensor. They are a low cost item to replace. Start with that and give it a try. There's a piece of clear tubing from the blower motor to a vacuum diaphragm switch, when the heater isn't being used a spider can easily plug the tube. Good luck!
@@GreatLakesJunction Thank you very much! I will check these items.
I have the same issue of igniting and running for about 10-15 seconds and then shuts down. Did you find a solution?
@@daledunford3209 Looks like it is the pressure switch. Trouble shot it and this is the conclusion. They are sending a warranty replacement. In case you do not know, it is the part that is screwed on towards the top center (behind the panel that is removed for access) that has the clear hose going into it.
@@daledunford3209 hello, I thought I replied to this, but must not have. After troubleshooting, they sent me a pressure switch. I am going to probably install it tomorrow. I'll let you know if that solves the problem.
How did you determine your circuit board was shot? My heater isn't turning on at all
With mine, the blower started, the ignitor started, but the gas valve never opened, so the heater would shut down. You should check the fuse on the board, upper left corner, may be that simple. I have changed 2 boards in this over 5 years, both times the board was not suppling power to the ignitor. Hope this helps you.
Thanks
i have the same problem but the switches all ohm out, fans run. just not getting 24vac to the gas valve. only 12vac. but the transformer is putting 24vac to the board
any ideas?
After checking all that you have, I would replace the board, There isn't really anything left. you have 24v going to it only 12 coming off it.
@@GreatLakesJunction thank you sir
You maybe have a electric supply issue with your utility ...with your circuit boards burning up?
I had thought of that but seeing as its only the shop heater, I believe its poorly made product. I have seen many other comments on various channels about these heaters having issues. Thanks for the suggestion.👍
They say the transformer shouldnt put out more thean 27 volts
That white tube not sure what it does but on another You tube channel this guy remo
The tube and inserted a small screwdriver a all the way into the inlet on the unit replaced tube and the unit started and rand fine
yes, its a vacuum tube and sometimes it will get blocked by a spider nest. Thanks for watching.
How do you remove the flame sensor?
Looks like a big job, I found this link from another vid that has some info about it. www.garagejournal.com/forum/threads/big-maxx-heater-how-to-remove-flame-sensor.308488/ Hope it help,
Thanks for watching.
Bigsho65 is a video
Where did you order your parts from
I found them at www.ereplacementparts.com
Hope this helps!
Hi. Thanx for the video. Where do u get yr parts?
Lioncove Hope they have what you need.
Thanks for watching
Hi. What would be yr advice on this heater wanting to run all the time? It’s not picking up building temp & wants to keep running. Shuts off for 5 minutes & it’s on again. Light is steady flash.
@@ldraper1972 It sounds more like a issue with the thermostat not the heater.
@@GreatLakesJunction I’ll check that 1st. Thank you.
Hi again. I changed thermostat but since have noticed only the bottom burner is lighting out of the 5. What would u do for this? Thank u in advance.
I have a 5 code and the big fan runs all the time
is the label still on the inside of the panel covering the components. My label list the problem next to the number of flashes produced by the blinking light on the circuit board.
These heaters are junk I'm constantly fixing mine
