Nice Video - Exactly the problem I had with My Big Maxx heater. Thank you. I'm going to add the silicon because there is not much clearance between the metal frame, tubes and the sensor. I suspect with normal temperature variation and heat cycling this sensor will eventually touch again and blow the fuse.
I’m about to install Circuit Board #4 on my Bug Maxx 80,000. I don’t pop fuses, when it rains (hard) I blow the board. I cannot seem to find the problem. The first board was certainly blown due to water damage. I did my best to cover the top, it vents vertical. A few months later, blown again. There was no evidence of water damage but they blow during heavy rains / snow. The last 2x are a mystery. I’m going to spray the new board with some kind of high speed circuit board water proofing stuff. I still don’t get it but I’m going to look at this switch. Thanks for adding the video!
try removing the high temp sensor just as a test to see if that works. if so than you need to make sure the sensor is installed in such a way as to never ground out
I had the same problem and took your advice and took it apart and bent it and cleaned the dust off of it and it worked great Thank you So much for the help
I've been experiencing similar issues with my big Maxx heater blowing 3A fuses.... I was extremely optimistic that this solution would would for me, but no go... I pulled the switch in question completely out, turned the power back on and the 3A fuse sill blew out. I'm not sure where to go from here.
I noticed the exhaust pipe vents through the ceiling, the pipe runs uphill towards the ceiling. Does the condensation buildup run back to the furnace? My piping runs slightly downhill and vents out the wall. During the cold months you can see the water dripping from the exhaust pipe creating a small iceberg
I can’t quite see what you are describing. Sorry just don’t screw with this to know what the high pressure switch is - wish you had a better pic. I have replaced boards 3 times in 2 separate units. Really pisses me off. New board though works. Not sure why it would be work for a year or more then begin blowing them again

Just had this issue with my new Modine Hot Dawg. Was able access from the front without removing to bend out of the way. Thanks for figuring this out!

Thank you very much sir that was exactly the problem... high five
Virtually ALL of my rolling entertainment options involve four or more wheels, but regardless, you sir, just earned a subscriber! :-D
Glad you found the problem Mr norm.

I should’ve mentioned the iceberg is outside lol
No I have not noticed this

Where is this fuse located?
On the circuit board
