I think the Zenit looks incredible. Went to check it out and saw they dropped $1k off the price tag and is still available. I dont expect this to be in production for long, so it might be something worth considering. You have always been able to get a Lecia, but when was the last time you saw a new Zenit? I thought they went under like 20 years ago. Good to see that they're not only coming back, but pairing with the biggest name in the business to debut their return. I know you arent a fan of the collab, but I get why they're doing it. If I remember, Zenit still holds the world record on most SLRs produced, but they need a little more public confidence after their hiatus, hence the pairing with Lecia.
Yeah it’s certainly understandable! Just look forward to them standing on their own. Same for the coming Chinese cameras. Leica getting their nasty finance scheme hands into any of these means we all pay the price.
Its inevitable that this will happen sometime soon. It'll be am M mount, maybe even a film camera before a digital one is produced. Things are going to get interesting!
I wish there was a company if not Zenit, maybe Pixii or even Fujifilm who would make a cheaper fullframe Leica-M alternative. - We could still use all the M39 or M mount lenses with a good rangefinder and the market would open up at a pricepoint of tops €2500. 🔴
Unfortunately Fujifilm will never make a full frame body because of how the market is carved up. They won’t step on other OEMs toes because that’s not their segment. A full frame X-Pro would be a literally perfect camera.
@@LIGHTHUNTER.D Yes! I'd also love a full frame X-Pro! - Though I doubt it will be made because Fujifilm announced years back that it would not invest in full frame camera's. They are going from APSC straight to MF (GFX etc). And though I might agree that sensor/technology -wise you might not need more than APSC as a prosumer. Yet Fujifilm offers support for M-glass and even a native m-mount adapter... whilst that system is designed for full frame. The purists won't love the cropfactor which makes their beloved lenses differ on the Fuji system. Another solution is making a speed booster (Focal reducer) for m-lenses. that would open the doors for many Leica shooters in search of a cheaper body! :)

I certainly hope so! Leica gets to keep their purist experience, and we arguably get the best of all worlds.

TTArtisan could be the one to do it.
Hopefully its a real rangefinder like Zenith and Pixii
@@janvirtanen9110 I’d be stoked for that or the HVF solution for versatility

Wait, wasn't the TTArtisans camera thing an April fools joke from like 2023?
The T-1 mirrorless was, yes. Watch the interview that Richard Wong did with the CEO (done way later in the year). He confirms there’s one coming.
Zenit is nothing due to sanctions. A dead collaboration
Thankfully those won’t work forever. Russia will keep growing
Probably the best case for companies making it on their own too
wen you make a 20min vid the matter ofthe title must last more than 2min
