PS To hear you two well, the UA-cam volume is all the way up, and I must also increase the volume on my desktop.

I have to have my phone volume all the way up but there are several podcasts that I have to do that with. When I watch on my tv I don't have to change my volume at all between netflix and youtube. My husband and I used to have the same phone and use different volume levels to watch the same thing so I think some devices have differences even within the same models and people have different preferences too.
Excited to hear that you are coming to Michigan! Maybe I'll be able to sneak away from home without the muchkins :)

Are you sure the new microphones are working? At the beginning Tracie told Jodi not to blow into microphone, but it looked like she did and I didn’t hear it. When Jodi took her microphone off to go get something, then put it back on when she returned... there was no sound from all the motion. I have a feeling your voices were just being picked up by the camera mic. Those are my thoughts.
    I ALWAYS LOVE your shows!

      @taralynchard 6 років тому +2

I noticed this too! It seems that the mic on their recording device is still the only one picking them up, at least as I hear it on my iPad. I adore them for trying to make it better. Unfortunately, I could detect no change in the sound quality from previous episodes.

Now I want to read her other books .. love her writing!!! PLEASE share other authors and books that you love!! I'm always looking for GOOD BOOKS to listen to while I knit, cook/clean or am in the car. 😘

It's not sound issues. It's when you ladies speak at your normal register. You speak very softly. Like your just talking amongst yourselves. It's also a whisper. You don't have to yell. Just speak up.

Jodi I love your Washed Out shawl. The pattern and the colors you picked are beautiful. You both are inspirational. I like that you introduce us to Indie Dyers, patterns, etc. I like the podcasts that have a lot of knitting content. Plus I love all the chatter (knitting or otherwise). It is like sitting down with friends. Have a good two weeks until we meet again. :-)

as always enjoyed the episode, your projects and all the treasures plus funny stories!! you HAVE to make the Lemmy K. by Isabell Kraemer, I'm currently on my 3rd!
also not sure if you heard, but Debby and Amy (our sweet periscoping sisters) will be in Albuquerque, New Mexico, for a mini retreat with Isabell - I'll be hosting her and I'm beyond thrilled to meet her in person and take a class with her!! honestly, she could be talking about the difference between fingering and worsted yarn and I'd be glued to her lips - wouldn't we all??!!!
much love from Albuquerque - Dag

Ladies! I absolutely LOVE seeing y'all's shawls and sweaters....HOWEVER...I'm in the very hot Southwest (on the border of Arizona/Mexico), so the reality is that I will rarely knit those cold-weather items. BUT I thoroughly enjoyed the Tee KAL y'all did on Craftsy/Off Our Needles and was wondering if you ladies would consider doing a TEE KAL on GG. I would adore seeing--and adding to my queue--all the varieties of tees done by your viewers!!

I love my Lemmy K!! I knit it in my first year after learning to knit. I really don’t remember too much lace work in it, just a couple yarn overs and some cables. I did struggle with the pattern and had to read through it a few times to figure out what I was supposed to do and when, but that could be because I was a new knitter. Good luck, you’ll LOVE knitting it!!

Lol my 9yo asked me last night what my favorite holiday is, I said independence day (were in U.S.) she said why, I was like... it's July 4th... my birthday! Haha had to comment... ps I just found you guys the other day that's why my comment is so late. Also, said 9 year old just asked me to teach her to knit three days ago and she hasn't made any mistakes. She thinks she has because her needle fell out a couple of times when she sat it down but I don't think that can even count as a mistake, that's just life.

I have heard so many people rave about the tubular cast on that it's probably time I try it. I think I can be a little lazy when it comes to learning new things when it means its gonna take me longer to cast on and start knitting a project. I did just learn how to do the cable cast on the other day for a sweater and it is fantastic! Not nearly as scary as it sounds in my opinion. It is just as simple as the long tail cast on but you dont have to worry about having a long enough tail for many stitches.

I am sorry to say that the volume is still a problem for me. I don't have this problem with any other podcasts that I listen to on the same device. I have to turn your podcast all the way up and use earbuds to hear it at all. Fortunately your podcast is always worth the extra effort!

Volume issues prevail. I have the volume turned all the way up on youtube and my laptop, or iPad. Sorry.

It's still hot and humid here in Maryland, but I'm not ready for fall anyway. I'm always so sad to see the end of summer. It's my favorite season even though the heat really bothers me. I just feel so much better when the sun is shining. You guys both knit so beautifully and choose colors so well. I'm so impressed by how much knitting you accomplish between episodes. I really want to get to Knit City! It's on my bucket list for sure. Those minis are amazing! I love the way they're put together, that's so creative. Jodi, I love your bags so much. I love the new carryall tote. I need one to hold my Row One minis and my Coziest Memories blanket. See you next time! Love you guys!

Sound is way too quiet on my laptop, even with the speakers turned all the way up.
