I am from Argentina, my adolescence in the 80s was crowned by this music. I can't believe that what is said to be successful today is real shit. There are no lyrics, no melodies, everything is image, no talent, just pose before the camera. I collect in my notebook all that wonderful music, it is an invaluable treasure, at least for me. The 80s will continue to live in our hearts, I'm sure of that. Thank you for sharing Icehouse. Greetings from the end of the world.

I was in elementary school at the time but yeah I would give up cell phones and social media and go back to simpler times because I remember this period in time and never wanted it to end. I wanna go back!
The singer's hair captures the essence of the 80s as much as the music does. I was in my teens and early 20s in the late eighties.. I was there, I know 😂
I discovered this band on the Netflix movie The Stranger, superb music! Captures the spirit of the carefree 80's perfectly. So pleased I found this band
Going back is a trap. I wish the good parts of the 80s would replace all the bad today. Specifically music, TV, movies - we can keep the technological improvements, but lets have the simplicity of 80s entertainment.
Oh, the 80s! What a great time to be a kid or teenager. I was about 12 when this song came out and it reminds me of summer nights at the baseball fields, playing outside all day, camping out, scary movies, Friday nights at the football field. My Dad was a coach. Music was great back then and listening to this brings all of those memories back. Back then I wanted to be an adult. I would love to go back to those days!

Loved and love timeless 80s music. My favorite of theirs was always "No Promises", but this one was and still is a great song that we enjoyed, listened to and it was more commercialized and recall hearing it on the radio in the 80s a lot more than their other songs, so this is a great song and if I am not mistaken, even made it into the movie or two. Great song and great musical era.

The 80s we're the best year's of my life. I'm looking for the rest button.
The 80s were the best decade by far.
@Damian La quay honestly it's a debate I have with myself. 60s 70s 80s are all amazing actually.
Agreed
I sincerely feel the happiest when I listen to this music. It takes me back to the best time of my life!
Nah, the 70s, but the 80s are a solid 2nd...
+Damian La quay
So, you are one of those who took music too seriously and killed the great disco era ... pretentious people killed the great 80s synth popularity too ...
*I could not believe this high quality song is over 30 years*
*80's beat never gets old*
A close 2nd to "you've got the touch"?
I wish can go back to the 80 all over again
Yeah that's right...
Yes I was saying the same..increible!!👀👏👏👏
NO MUSIC, WILL EVER BEAT THE TALENT & SOUND OF THE 80S
Those were the days
I am from Argentina, my adolescence in the 80s was crowned by this music. I can't believe that what is said to be successful today is real shit. There are no lyrics, no melodies, everything is image, no talent, just pose before the camera. I collect in my notebook all that wonderful music, it is an invaluable treasure, at least for me. The 80s will continue to live in our hearts, I'm sure of that. Thank you for sharing Icehouse. Greetings from the end of the world.
That hit way deeper than I wanted it too.
Sí. Tenes razón!!! Solo escucho música de los 80 y los 90!!! Dios!!!! Que belleza!!! Los clásicos internacionales son mi debilidad! Temazo! Saludos desde Tucumán!!!
Habla en castellano che! jaja
RIVER PLATE el más Grande 😎
Muy cierto. Los 80s lo.mejor de nuestras vidas!😥
Holy cow. I'm 12 again listening to this song and dreaming about my crush.
I'm 45 now but love these memories from the 80s!
Takes me back when i was 12 also Rebecca..now im turning 45 and it brings back memories
Me too. I'm 46 now but I clearly remember swooning at all his mulleted glory.
Ahhh 1987, takes me back to junior high! I appreciate these songs so much more current day, the awesome 80s! ❤
You blokes down under have great music. The 80s were perfect! Icehouse, Mondo Rock, Cold Chisel, Men at Work and many many more. Greetings from Croatia!
Awwww the memories....
If someone ever invents a time machine i would go back to the eighties and stay there!
Make sure to bring a sports almanac
walter zeballos ....if you think this is funny, looks at the guitar player in the song 'send me an angel'
I am sorry, I responded to the WRONG message. I was talking about how enthusiastic they seem.
please bring me to
I was in elementary school at the time but yeah I would give up cell phones and social media and go back to simpler times because I remember this period in time and never wanted it to end. I wanna go back!
Blessed to have been born in 1970 and was in highschool during the latter 80s!! BEST YEARS OF MY LIFE!!!!
Same here Christopher. 1970. Latter part of the 80's too. Loved that era. Still do.
@@MrIceman1054 December of 1970 is when I was born and got to enjoy the 80s to the fullest!!!!!!!!
Right there with you christophermunro4503. Nov. 25, 1970, so the latter part of the 80's also. I miss it so much.
Please take me back to the 80's, the world was truly a better place at that time!
Amen. Adult life sucks
Hell yeah! Love the 80's
AmenAmen
Can i come??
I'll bring the pizza if I can come too
If I had one wish, it would be to wake up tomorrow morning and find myself returned to the 80's...
synthwave friends! Synthwave. Recapture the 80s!
Amen
Going back is a trap. I wish the good parts of the 80s would replace all the bad today. Specifically music, TV, movies - we can keep the technological improvements, but lets have the simplicity of 80s entertainment.
SAME!!
You and me both! Best times of my life.
just adore this song! 36 years later and I still listen to it and love it more and more and more and appreciate these talents guys.
I was 14 years and i still love. Electric blue what' a song i love the 80s forever❤
In 2022, my 14 yo daughter loves this song so I think that's a testament to what a great song it is!
Good morning how was your night
Esta música jamás pasará de moda porque jamas fué moda. 💙
Her parents have great taste 😎
Well done in inculcating good music to your daughter. Bravo!!!
True brother...how true.
This song is proof we 80s people have the greatest soundtrack ever!
Yes
yup
No doubt!!!
AMEN!!!! 🥰🥰
The soundtracks of our lives!
His voice is so clear and he sings so effortlessly❤
Aaahhh, the 80’s. One of a kind and THE best decade ever! Probably the best years of my life.
I like how the saxophone guy is just walking around like... is it time for my number yet?
That happened in a lot of songs...INXS Original Sin for example...
Sax solo guys are too cool to bother playing anything other than the solo!
And when he’s done he just holds the sax over his shoulder like “my work here is done”
@@pipsqueaksgaming7029 dudes a freakin legend, he doesn't have to do anything else lmao
Anybody know who Chip Foose is? Spitting image. Chip is a hot rod guy
Im stuck in the 80,s and bloody 💜 it! Music of today will never ever come close to the 80's!!
From someone who was there and lived through it; Welcome!
agree
It is because the best musicians and composers after the Mozart/Beethowen/Bach/Chopin troupe decided to reincarnate all at once in the 80's
Yes me too!!
Depends on the genre, but pop will never be the same. Rock and metal are still alive and well.
The 80's were a crazy time. People still had good manners.
If a boy had a chance
A chance with someone like you
Are you gonna break his heart?
Let him cry for the moon?
Are you hiding somewhere behind those eyes?
I just freeze (I just freeze)
Every time you see through me (see through)
And it's all over you
Electric blue
On my knees (on my knees)
Help me, baby (help me)
Tell me, what can I do?
Electric blue
Oh, I had a dream
For a moment I believed it was true
Oh, I'd have given anything
Just to be there with you
Are you hiding
Somewhere behind those eyes?
I just freeze (I just freeze)
Every time you see through me (see through)
And it's all over you
Electric blue
In too deep (in too deep)
Standing here waiting
As I'm breaking into (ooh)
Electric blue
I can see (I can see)
Can see that it may be just a vision for you
Electric blue
On my knees (on my knees)
Help me, baby (help me)
Tell me what can I do?

Are you hiding somewhere behind those eyes? (behind those eyes)

OMG
I miss the 80's.... this is real music,,, real talent,,, bands that were teams , not dance clubs....
Yes, INXS and Glenn Frey's solo songs used in Miami Vice are perfect examples.
We didn't start the fire play in the background
synthwave friends! Synthwave. Recapture the 80s!
Tell me about it. Real talent.
@@gtrshrdr729 I agree.
I want my mullet back. Hell, I want my HAIR back!
Do it bro..

@Ted LS well done good Sir
Yeah Gus, he was just too damn hot with it.
My best song of all times. Loved going round the club circuit in the 80's. I got to meet Iva,And got his autograph, which I still have today! 2023
The songs that came out in the 80's amazes me... my dad taught me this song and I'm only 12. I never stop listening to it. And I never wanna stop.
To be young, so happy and free-spirited in the 80s... that is the spirit of Electric Blue!
I agree!
I like how the sax guy is just chilling till he comes in and steals it all
Sax guy is Simon Lloyd
More songs need sax solos. 80’s was the last decade to really feature saxophone in popular music.
2:01... Sax Time 🎷
Listen to Retro Wave. 80s sounding music made recently. They have sax music. Try Stranger Love with Ollie Wride.
it's like foreigner's urgent
It's 2023 and I have somehow re-discovered these guys.. every song... So Aussie and so perfect. Thanks Icehouse 👊🖤
This song never get old! The 80's were the best especially for the music!
And were slow the 80s
I was born in 1970...Thanks a lot Mom..thanks a lot Dad,,,,I WAS A TEEN IN THE 80'S...Just perfect!

Timeless. The quality of this band with their music..style and the essence of the 80's is unsurpassed. Big fan...HUGE!!! 🤟😎

The best Aussie Band
And the gold medal for mullets has been awarded.
Such an underrated song, definitely one of my 80's favorites
2021. And I'm still here listening to this amazing song!
Who else is with me? 🎶
Me
The Church, INXS and these guys made me wanna move to Australia when I was younger
Marc,
I first heard this in 1987 and thought it was unbelievable and in 2021 I still feel the same way. Go figure.
Meeeeeee Toooooo 😎👍🏼💋💜
Me...always loved this song.
Damn, it's been 35yrs. The 80s was like that. I, was in love then and this was one of our songs. ❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊🎉🎉🎉🎉😢❤❤❤😅😅😅.
So many memories. There were so many great songs in the 80's. They still play it.
I want to wake up in the morning to the 1980's and realize that the Covid-19 world I lived in was just a bad dream...
It will be, ...hang in there bud...let the music pass the time.. be safe.
I second that
For me, the 1980s was my last "good decade". Ever since then it's been downhill society wise as far as I am concerned....
😊I loved the 80's.I wish those who don't believe in this covid crap could go back to the 80's in a time machine and get away from thus evil society.Lets all put a down payment on a ride in the Delorean's today.😁
But then you'll wake up to the mullet epidemic
If nothing else --- you always have to love the 80s sax solos. It was a player's golden age in Rock.
Facts! Soulful!
Yes,also Foreigners, Urgent
Yes, the sax was something that made many of the amazing songs of the decade
You have to admit the saxophone in this and ACDC with the bagpipes
You Nailed it Jim, so many people miss it. The Sax was so instrumental in the Eighties, it lit up the songs so magnificently. Rock on Eighties.
This was and still is one of my all time favorite songs
Real music at it's finest what an era of classic music it was.
And one of the best mullets you'll ever see
80s music was saxy. The saxophone used so much back then really made so many songs epic. Men & women having fantastic hair also helped.
That is Totally the Hit the Nail on the Head. The saxophone so made the eighties it goes too unnoticed. One more reason the eighties are so Great.
I agree. 80s music wasn't complete without the saxophone. Music from the decade stood out from the other eras.
synthwave friends! Synthwave. Recapture the 80s!
And who knew that Barrack Obama played the keyboard back in the 80s. The keyboardist looks just like him. Cool.
Perfect 80’s song. Does everything you need it to without trying to do too much.
Just "Crazy" & "Electric Blue" were their only T20 hits.
@@Music-tk5oq No promises was an amazing song also, one of my favorites, but yes, those two were more commercialized I think.
@@photoshoott2022 I have a "Rock on " trivia book by Norman Nite. Icehouse apparently had their first hit in August 1981, "We Can Get Together". No Promises came in '86. I just saw that i Joel Whiotburn's Top Pop Singles.
HIS VOICE IS LIKE HEAVEN!!! NEVER WOULD GET TIRED OF IT
Who else just wants to jump through their computer screen and go back to the 80s?
We will jump hand in hand Aimee. :)
me lol and i was only born in 2005
With the music sounding so good while I was growing up, count me in!!!!!!!
Right here I would see Def Leppard’s Hysteria tour.
@@hamop3 lol Yes sir!!
This song came on in a restaurant and it made my night. Haven't heard it in years. Love this song so much, yes mullet gold
I never liked that mullet
Hell yeah some of the best music and bands ever came out of of this era its a crying shame that the young generation of today wont get to hear and appreciate a special kind of music that was made by these generations of bands
2023 and I’m still playing this. My mullet has grown naturally from so many listens to this killer tune.
I love how the happiest guy in the band is the drummer!
He still plays with them
I was in college when this album hit the record stores. My first copy was a cassette tape. This music was so cool 😎! It brings back many good memories. Both of my parents were still alive when this song was released, as well as my brother. Bittersweet…
Amen to that.
Muy agridulce, pero bueno. Ojala los hayas disfrutado como a esta cancion!! Saludos bro 🇦🇷🇦🇷
Aw
That sax riff in the bridge is the second best saxophone lick ever, only behind Gerry Rafferty's all-time greatest creation "Baker Street." Insane.
The greatest era ever. This song brings back very beautiful memories.
So, I'm a freshman in college when this song comes out. What an underrated group from down under. I wanna go back man. Plain and simple.
Nathan F hi from down under Nathan. If you figure out how to go back, take me too ok?❤️
@@DeidreL9 Hi! I know right? I truly wish there was a time machine back to THE decade of decades. Big greeting from Texas!
I was just shy of my 2nd birthday when this song came out, but I still want to go back to the 80s. Being a teenager in the late 80s/early 90s would have been ideal 😊
@@LeMErin21
2nd birthday wow. At least you have good taste music. Being a kid in the 70s into HS until 87 was yes..as good as it gets!
A young person asked me a few weeks ago what my favorite "genre" of music is. After thinking about it for a long time, I realized that a LOT of what I love is 80's pop/rock by Australian and New Zealand bands. Does that really count as a genre? I don't know, but that was the answer I gave him.
When a time machine is invented, and I am able to go back to the '80s, I want this song playing when I arrive.
One of the greatest mysteries of 80s music. Whatever happened to Icehouse. A couple of hits then poof gone, vanished.
Icehouse....We Can Get Together....Sister...Can't Help Myself....Walls....Love In Motion....Great Southern Land....Crazy....Man Of Colours....Touch The Fire....Don't Believe Anymore....Street Cafe.....Electric Blue....My Obsession....yeah just a couple of hits_
Awesome late '80s tune and video complete with the quintessentially gorgeous '80s babe. Love it.
