First saw him on TaskMaster. Thought most of the candidates were comedians or actors of some kind but had no idea Romesh did stand up. Fucking hilarious
Im doing the "no homo" thing for like 15 years now. 2 years ago, one of my friends came out and "no homo" is still on table, hes still using it himself too. Kinda funny.
Violence is shown often because it establishes stakes in a way that's attention-grabbing and unusual. We don't experience it in normal life often. Putting it in a show is not normalizing it. I love Romesh but it's just comedy. He's talked enough about entertainment to know that's not how it works.
@@VCRider It's the three kids talking. If the kids do all of those things at once, they think that Romesh will kill himself because he can't stand his own children doing such barbaric things.
I mean...he wasn't actually for polyamory, or he and his wife would actually be doing it, or talking about it with the seriousness that he talked about normalization of gayness. Polyamory is funny to him, not serious. Not sure it should be taken as any kind of advocacy.
@@becominghero9754 Just because he’s personally monogamous doesn’t mean he isn’t supportive of polyamorous people. After all, he’s straight but he still supports gay people.
Yes, but when some people say 'asked', it sounds like 'arst' - "I arst you a question". I suspect that's where the difficulty lies. Happy to be wrong: that's just my two-penn'orth. Edit: I'm from the UK; other countries' mileage may vary.
About his wife, you say? The set was about polyamory, LGBT+ representation in the media, and healthy heterosexual curiousity & questioning. But yes, definitely all about the wife.
I totally relate to what he said about, thinking it would be easier to sexually please another guy. I sure as hell am awful at pleasing women.....I have no idea how that thing works. LOL. And yes, I have had a few woman pull on my thing, like it was a parachute cord. Lucky to still have it attached.
that is a bit of a flaw in the sexual dimorphism strategy isn't it? I wonder if it would be less confusing if we were all hermaphrodites. definitely would not be biologically easier.
Matter of fact a completely straight guy i know actually went out and tried it out with a gay guy once and he totally confirmed the gay guy just knew how to work it better than most women do.🤣🤣🤣
You've missed his entire point! He was talking about how TV still treats being gay like a specialised category. He's being ironic about how gays are portrayed.
I like the nohomo bit. it's hilariously stupid as a thing to say anyways. I don't feel gay complimenting a dude. saying nohomo makes it seem like the intention is questionable. and there's either an understanding or not when ya offer to blow your friend in front of ppl. haha, adding nohomo doesn't really do much at that point.
you remind me of an asian karl pilkington but with a sense of humor. would love to watch a tv series you travelling world trying different things again. maybe another series with rob?

No homo.
Now that’s funny af! I’ve switched from no homo to saying pause!
I know what mean about this saying.
I have been sitting on this for a while.
No homo..
I thought that was an internet thing
The thing about gay not being normalised and comparing it to violence was funny, but also true.
That's because every time they try to normalize it by shoving it into regular programs we make them go broke.
Well yeah on the dude side
That's kinda the core of stand-up comedy

I recommend season one of Taskmaster. The full episodes are available on UA-cam.
‘ I just can’t be ARSED to provide it ‘ is what he actually says, a common English expression meaning can’t be bothered.
They probably needed to sanitize thumbnail. In other case UA-cam demonetizes a video or shows it to people less.
