I've had one of these since 2018. Been able to wear it for hours on end without overheating or feeling any pain points anywhere. The only thing I wish it had was those emergency pull-tabs for if you were to crash, but that's the only negative point I have against it.
Hi, yeah HJC makes some great helmets. Glad you are really enjoying your CL-17. The emergency release cheek pads are a great feature and HJC does offer it in their more pricier helmets the RPHA 11 Pro and RPHA 70ST. Thanks for watching.
Never gonna have a stale, musty smell? Yeah. Right. Explain that one to my wife whenever I wear the helmet. I can assure you she is in full disagreement with your assertion. In all fairness, mine is about Two years old now, maybe more. For anyone else reading this looking into removing the liner to clean it, apparently it’s baby shampoo that you ...must...use. Yer welcome.
Hello, yes helmets can develop a smell over time, especially after two years. It's best to regularly clean and maintain them to help minimize the odor. yes use baby shampoo or dish soap, other other non harmful cleaning products.
