    I tried this last night on my 3c/4a hair and OMG this is the best for dry frizzy hair, I noticed the difference after one application. I added a hair masque from Shea Moisture and sat under a plasctic cap (no heat) and it was just the best thiing ever... I did have to condition twice to remove all of the oil, I will know better next time to take a t-shirt to remove some of the oil that my hair doesnt absorb, it was a greasy oily mess... other than that, it was great for my TWA... please try it.... it cant hurt this is all natural and JBCO mixed with Olive Oil is my potion of choice... Thanks for posting!!!!

    I actually did this day before yesterday for what reason I don't know, I didn't even know this was a thing. but it's definitely a moisture retention, my hair have been shiny for three day

    I tried this today and couldn't believe how soft it left my hair after co-washing. My brown hair is the hardest to get any shine to but this method actually help. I really appreciate you sharing this.

    Your curls are poppin!! I've never heard of this method before.. I'm going to try this on my hair and my daughter's hair. I just dyed my hair and it needs a good treatment like this.. the colored hair has gotten so dry.. where as my uncolored hair is soft shiny and ..well.. not dry. Thank you for sharing :-)

    I just watched it!!! I was simply brilliant!!!! I used to detangle my hair first with conditioner, then apply the oil and then rinse with conditioner, but I have to try the way you did it.
    I bet it's gonna be hard, since castor oil is not very slippy.

    Thanks for responding. So many people on you tube only want the subscribers and they dont take the time to respond to the questions of their viewrs. That means a lot to those of us who think highly of your vids enough to support your channel. Thanks again for responding and your advice.

    Having the oils incorporated in the conditioner helps a lot. This methods always defines my hair better and there's almost no residue left.
    I have no choice, I worked on the weekends, I have to find the time to re-arrange my washing routines (I hate to do it during the week)

  • @lovespanishandkorean
    @lovespanishandkorean 11 років тому

    Wow this is really similar to what I do!! I de-tangle with grapeseed oil and then co wash, rinse with cold water after I apply a little more grapeseed oil and cold aloe vera juice...sometimes its not even necessary to add more grapeseed oil after i rinse. Nice video!!!

    great idea I will definitely try this out. I have noticed who moisturized and shiny my hair is when I rewet it and oil it between co washes

  • @aucurlsnaturelle
    @aucurlsnaturelle  11 років тому +2

    Hi dear, i have never tried all the time, if you have a TWA you can DEFINITELY get away with it LOL but with longer hair, make sure you wash(clarify/cleasner/clay-wash) your hair to avoid build on your scalp
    Im so glad you enjoying it :D

  • @nubiennze
    @nubiennze 10 років тому +1

    Uggggghhh...now you've got me wanting to try this, lol.
    Before I discovered I have low porosity hair, I used to seal with coconut oil and wonder why it was still greasy, brittle and breaking. Even though the moisture wasn't actually penetrating, this reminds me that it did used to look super shiny. Now that I've adopted a moisturizing routine that keeps my hair soft and supple, it's lost that lustrous shine. ):
    My hair does respond well to olive, castor and avocado oils, and I used to really enjoy hot oil treatments with them before I stopped prepooing in favor of a more protein-sensitive regimen. Maybe I'll try steaming post-wash with oil instead of conditioner and using the conditioner to wash out the excess oil like you did here...

    • @aucurlsnaturelle
      @aucurlsnaturelle  10 років тому +3

      my hair hates coconut oil on its own, my hair is low porosity there is no way coconut oil will keep my hair shiny and SOFT. lol
      only with olive or castor oil or mixing it together
      coconut oil works well when i mix it with other things

    Girl, let me tell you that my hair is super shiny!!!!!! I forgot the part about applying heat, but I still got great results. It took a second to clean the oily shower, but it was well worth it. Thanks soooooooooooo much for this tip.

    I did my oil treatment about 1.5 weeks ago, & my hair is STILL shinier than usual! This will definitely be an every 1-2x per month thing; I love it! :-D And now I can experiment with different types of oils to see which works best :-) Thanks again for this, unni! :-)

  • @KingofgraceSARA

    This is similar to what I do to achieve gloss/shine and moisture. I mix olive oil, honey, agave nectar(and sometimes an egg and some 2 tbsp of mayo). Sit with it for 15-30 mins with a bag or cap on and optional heat and my hair is so soft and shiny. I love that we are all brainstorming thus learning what works to achieve hair health. The hair revolution will be youtube-ized.
    You, your energy, and your hair is gorgeous. Thanks for sharing~

    Hi I have tried this method and it was wonderful. At present I am transitioning. I found that my hair detangled by itself when I used the oil wash. I used a combo of oils, such as, coconut oil, castor oil, almond oil mixed together. wonderful will defo keep this in my routine.

    I have oil washed my hair in the past with olive oil. Mad oily... like, dripping off my hair even after I thoroughly wrung it dry. IMO, this would be good, at least for me, at the beach if I'm su bathing or something like that.

    So this was an interesting video for me, and I will tell you why. I started detangeling my hair with olive oil and my curl pettern was crazy I only stopped because olive oil goes bad in a few days and will start to smell bad. so time is limited on how long you can keep it on. my question is does caster oil have the same kind of time limit?

    Yeah, I wanna try the regular castor oil.
    But I've been so busy (and lazy) lately, I don't do the deep conditioning anymore. I just co-wash and detangle my hair everyday, do wash-and-goes everyday with conditioner mixed with oil.
    It's been like 2 months now XD
