My only issue is the gloss screen. Having had a gloss lenovo (least favourite company) I don't want to go back to gloss screens. I'm torn because this is currently a really good price for these features.
I have the Huawei Matebook 14s with the i7. Everything is great minus the webcam and trackpad. Maybe I'm spoilt by the great webcam and trackpad on my other laptop, Microsoft Surface Go2.
No I don't think you are wrong. It is a weird situation, since companies know that people do web-confrences and interviews for a while. To still use 720p hd cameras in laptops is nonsensical. It is similar to tech companies still giving laptops HDD hard disks.
with i5 11300H version , It give me a same result on synthetic test . I get 1600 / 5600 geekbench score. If you planning to buy this pc , according to me you should buy i5 version for price difference .

Does this machine support Thunderbolt 4? Could you possibly check the machine for me? I spoke to someone at Huawei store recently and they said the smaller model (i7/512GB) does support T4 although it is not ‘officially’ certified. However they did not have the machine in store at the time, so I never actually get to the bottom of it. I’m kinda keen on this Spruce Green colour, but it is not available for the top model.

Hi, is anyone experiencing this little shock/static when using the matebook 14s while it's being charged? Any way to solve it? it's such a nuisance to me that I won't use the device while it's being charged, this is a laptop FFS, not a mobile phone!

@@TechMagnet To be honest. AMD has done a great comeback with their Ryzen architecture and today we all benefit from it. Intel is still extremely dominant, both in terms of marketshare, as well as on sales and profit, and could push AMD out of the market at any time (as it alreay happened, with unfair methods), which we shouldn't wish for. I would like to see a balance of power in the future and there is still a very long and rocky road to get there.

I'm tempted to get a matebook for the first time just because I use a mate pro 30. But I'm a previous lenovo legion user that just died and I'm currently using a dell 2 in 1 laptop 13 700 (kinda old model, 5th Gen) as temporary laptop since my legion processor died. Are mate books reliable in general? I've seen reddit posts about the hinges giving up. Either new matebooks or like matebooks used for years. Also reading new matebook comments, they keep in saying it's overpriced when it has an old internals, (processors etc.)
Great review, just what I needed - really detailed and easy to understand features. Thank you.
Helpful, very complete and easy to understand review.

1TB version has 1 port with thunderbolt
I would gladly buy this but where I live the I5 with 16gb ram is the same price as the I7 with 1tb storage if I were to buy it in china
those Huawei folks have been pretty popular recently, cool !
in the laptop market for sure
Is this better than Dell Inspiron?
How is the fan noise? I read some complaints that the fan starts with every little task :/
Don‘t know if i should buy 14s or wait for X Pro 2022 in EU…
One thing I find annoying is the up down scrolling on the touch screen is so slow on browsers and pdfs.. is there a way to make it more sensitive?
Can I use other brand devices to connect with this laptop ?
When the 14s is paired with the Huawei tablet, can you also write or draw something on the tablet?
Yes
How long the battery last
does the tablet have to be huawei brand to use the multiscreen? thought windows 11 has this feature already
oh wow Huawei is back with another good product!
yes!
Is it good choice for programming java?
Hallo,
When is Windows 11 coming on the device??
Great review. This model doesnt comes with Windows professional version (10 or 11) but only home. Thats not good!
this is far from THE greatest ever but no disappointment neither.

only huawei

This is Not caused by the mate book it’s you . Put both hands on your metal heating radiator so the electrical change can dissipate
I want to buy one but can I get Google on the laptop
Yes there is google even in Chinese version
Kannst du das in deutsch machen, will mir den auch holen, brauche erklärung

You've got the Schwarzenegger version. Pump some iron and you will succeed :)
Hi ... Can I download Android apps on this Huawei laptop and get Google play or Huawei laptops can't get Google play on it like the mobile phone ?
no idea for this ,It can work Android app in laptop。but i think IT hard to get Google play app。
I could think of much more expensive stuff to throw away.. :)
ibm XD
