- One of my best friends converted a 22 year old Shuttle bus into a tiny house Skoolie so him and his wife can travel across Canada! Watch as he gives you an in-depth tour of his bus and talks about all the ins and outs of the build process and what went into his conversion!

I wish you well on your journeys. Your rig has inspired me as being a practical answer to my present situation. My body is nearing the point where the nickname of All-Day Ray no longer applies. My Sweetest Friend just recently passed away and my household consists of me and my two dogs. I want to find a little piece of land somewhere in the mountains of Georgia/Tennessee area where the climate is temperate and I can park my rig as I then go about building a small abode. Maybe travel a little before I settle down in a place of my liking. That's the tentative plan at this point. Your short bus build seems ideal and I am inspired to do something very similar. I already have a name picked out for it.

Love the 70g water. I take shower everyday. Nice. The only thing I dislike are the cloth on the dashboard and the back. Got wipe it clean. I also wish it was shade on the blind.

I'd love to know how much he spent. Incredible how clean and rust free it is underneath for Ontario. This rig will last centuries!
I think he said 1992 was the year, he did lots of work to rustproof it looks brand new!
actually must be 2002 cause he said it was 22 years old!!
Its a 2002 we redid everything. Underneath is spotless we had the time so we went over every inch

Awesome build the tool box generator looks like a target for a thief with bolt cutters though. And those cedar doors for a ax as long as you are lucky are never leave the bus while traveling your probably good.
We believe shit will happen. Also believe theres more good out there than bad. We dont really put ourselves in sketchy positions. And if someone does decide to steal or vandalize. Thats on their karma

Your bus is a beauty. I can't begin to imagine the total build cost. Don't suppose you'd mind telling..?? Just out of curiosity...who's GENIUS idea was it to use the red plaid and paint throughout?? Yours or your significant? I bet it was hers. Women have great taste & style. No offense intended.

Nice work! Question: Does your apartment size fridge drain your battery fast because I absolutely love that nice size fridge. Would definitely get that size when I get me a van!
He said he has never drained the battery below 70% yet, there is a generator but he hasnt had to use it yet!
Yeah the fridge doesnt make a dent whatsoever. We have 1360 ah of lithium 1.5 kw of solar more or less. We still havent had to use the genny almost two months on the road now

I gave it a thumbs up for the build 👍 but the plad "decor" leaves a lot to be desired,🤢🤮🤣. But seriously, I gotta give it to you in the mechanical, functional and conventional 😉. It's not the most amazing skoolie I'VE seen, but it's one of the best builds I"VE seen, (and I've seen my share) . Overall a great build and a nice skoolie. 😉👋💪.

I like the look of the outside for sure. I just wonder why the fridge wasn't kept on the kitchen end of the wall with the dresser drawers on the bed side of that wall. Seems it would have made more sense to have clothing by the bed and the fridge venting nearer the door. Swap those two items, and it's the kind of set up my husband and I would totally have...except our toilet would be for normal use not just pee time!😳😬🥴
We would have lots a few more crucial inches had we reversed it. It was important to keep the electrical switches and readout by the door. Also you cant see it but there is a solid steel frame that runs the top of the door in behind the drawers. The fridge would have been out in our walkway an additional inch.
