  • A Carpy Connection - Carp Fishing Vlogs. Welcome to part 5 of the Redhouse Diary where i am fishing Redhouse lake on the pride of derby lake complex. In this episode i continue my campaign to try to catch a Carp from this very tricky low stock pit.
    The weather was looking bang on with a warm NW wind and rain but still these stubborn carp outwit me. I fish a swim i haven’t fished before which is full of weed. I show you how i tie my flouro leaders to my mainline using the back to back grinner knot.
    I am putting a lot of time and effort into theses vlogs and understand that they might not be for everyone but i am still new to blogging so give them a chance and hopefully they will improve in both content and quality. I am not sponsored by anyone so all time, effort and money spent is all mine. Please help me and give encouragement by liking the videos and subscribing to my channel. Please also leave comments in the comments section with any improvements you think would make these videos better.
    Many thanks for taking the time to watch.

    Well impressed with all the drone and rig talk. Fished redhouse myself 2017 and blanked 5 times before I had a take and lost... didn't renew but do miss the challenge it gives. Keep up the good work, looking forward to ur next blog.🐟👍🤞

      Hi Wayne. Thank you for your comment. Redhouse is a bit of a head shaker. It's a lake that needs time and effort. Unfortunately i do not have either at the moment so i will not be fishing it anymore this year. For the price of the ticket, it's always one to keep handy if you need somewhere different to go.
      Thanks for watching.

    Nice vid from a hard water the only thing that worries me is you are wading right out to the top of your waders . You have only got to step in a hole then your waders will fill up could you not wear a life jacket. Stay safe bud keep the vlogs coming 👍

    • @ACarpyConnection
      @ACarpyConnection  5 років тому

      Hi mate. Thanks for your comment and your concern. I am always very careful when wading. If you notice on the film, I always dab the lead on the bottom I front of me so I know what the bottom is like in front of me. I also always have the lead around 4ft from the rod tip so I know if the tip of the rod goes under the water before the lead hits the bottom, I know it is too deep to stand. I'm glad you are enjoying the vlogs mate. Hopefully I will have a redhouse fish soon. 👍😁🎣🎣

      @@ACarpyConnection it is difficult. Took me a while also and this year it seems to have started paying off slowly. Not easy doing vlogs though, i created a channel myself and did first quick vid at easter so appriciate how hard it is. Might get some pointers from you if i see you about. If you watch my vid (only 10 mins) its raw compared to yours hence got questions. Yours are very well made amd put together. Im doing footage myself at moment but keeping it all back for a 12 month summary on here i think.

    • @ACarpyConnection
      @ACarpyConnection  5 років тому

      Nice one Andy. Your vlog is very informative and to the point. Keep it up.
      It is alot of work creating these vlogs. Everything takes me twice as long to do now fishing wise. I try to film everything I do so usually takes me hours to get to the swim, get set up and get the rods out. I really enjoy it though although I feel it is having a slight impact on my fishing. Each vlog takes me around 9 hours to edit including producing the thumbnails and sourcing the music. I also have 3 different mediums from which I have to download the files from. My Dslr, my drone and my phone. I have just started to use premier pro for the editing so once I get a bit more compitent with it the editing should be a bit quicker. If you see me come and say hi. I would be more than happy to give you some pointers. 👍😁

      @@ACarpyConnection will do. I can imagine it taking time, i aint got that type of kit, just a simple camera and pod. Using fimora for editing but im probably stick with more raw type vids for now based on the kit im using. Now i now what that whirring noise is from last few months I've heard a few times, lol. Your drone, haha. Catch you soon and cheers for positive comment and my very ameatur vlog 😉

    • @ACarpyConnection

      Its not the quality but the content that counts Andy. I'm a keen photographer too so i have already invested in the equipment and also have experience in using editing software. I am getting more confident in front of the camera now so hopefully the vlogs will get better and better as I go on. Keep going with yours mate. 😁🎣👍

    Hi mark great video I fish redhouse my self and my last session I was in same peg had a common and lost a big one in the weed just to the right of the peg in the margin. Solid bags is a great method in weed worked for me!are drones allowed on pride of derby waters as was thinking of using mine on there if they are. Keeps the videos coming mate 👍

    • @ACarpyConnection
      @ACarpyConnection  5 років тому +1

      Hi Tony. Thanks for your comment. I ended up putting solid bags out. Didn't film it though as it started to piss down and I didn't want to get my camera wet. I know of a few fish coming from that peg. It was really weedy though.
      I did ask the bailiff if I could use my drone but he never got back to me. I'm not doing any harm with it so I can't see an issue. I just be considerate to others. 😁🎣👍. Keep enjoying the vlogs mate. 😁

    • @ACarpyConnection
      @ACarpyConnection  5 років тому

      Hi Mate. Many thanks for your comment. Im not too sure of the stock. I reckon around 60 from what I've been told and seen. From what i have been told there are a couple of nice commons, 43lb and 38lb. There is also a mythical 40lb mirror in there but not been seen. I think the rest are 20s and doubles.
