The second one looks like something breaking through the wall. Something buried in the wall. Reminds me of the concept of the evil crack in the wall in Dr Who. Love the bronze addition. I just spent some time going through all my mark making and texture objects and creating a sample of each on a playing card per item. They are now on a ring so I can flick through for texture ideas when I'm creating. 😁
Dr. Who vibes? I’ll take it! That "breaking through the wall" concept is so cool, and I’m glad the bronze worked for you, it was fun to play with. Your texture card ring idea is brilliant-I bet that makes experimenting way easier! I might have to borrow that idea! ❤️👍
Hey Phillip! That’s exactly the goal-trying new things and breaking those creative walls! Breaking through those creative barriers is usually where the magic happens!
@@connieschwarz6023 I love that technique, Connie! Sometimes you can create unique textures by crumpling the paper up first before pulling the wet paint.
This week I made a beetroot salad and so I thought why not try to use the bits and pieces I cut of the beetroot and paint on raw canvas. And it was really fun and it turned out really good 😊 Thank you! Sending love from Augsburg, Germany ❤
Wow, using beetroot pieces to paint? That’s next-level creative-I love it! ❤️So happy to hear it was fun and turned out great. I'll have to give that a try 😊 Did you notice any changes in the color when it dried? Greetings from Colorado!

I like all the paintings, but the second one is my favourite, to me its like you've hovered a drone over the top of a volcano just before the volcano erupts. I was worried though, because it was really good before you changed it, but as usual you pulled the rabbit out of the hat and the painting is beautiful. I'm glad you were filming it though because you might be able to recreate the initial stage of the painting, as always thank you for doing the video. Cheers!
I’m so glad you liked it, and I’m loving the volcano comparison-so much energy in that! It’s always a gamble when changing a painting mid-way, but I’m happy it worked out. And who knows, maybe I’ll revisit that earlier stage in another video-thanks for the kind words and for watching!
@@chrisloudart that's the first thing that came to mind, it could work as a larger painting too. Yes indeed a lot of energy in your painting and a volcano, like the one that's erupted again in Finland oh fiddle, I can't remember the exact place, but that's just what it reminded me of. I appreciate the time and effort to make a video, so thank you. Cheers!
Wonderful. I loved the barbed wire piece. I’m going to give it a try with a grunge background. Fun! Thanks kindly Chris, for your process and ideas❤️🇨🇦
Mesh representations: massive apartment complex, ocean-going fishing nets, barricade/fence, food strainer, lacrosse stick, dream catcher, animal cage, layout for an orchard, bandage wrap around a body part, construction site material, parachute to death, ...
Hey Daniel! That's a great question. I've never tried making my own, but I have watched some videos where people have. I think the trickiest thing is going to be getting the consistency right and making sure the tube doesn't clog. Here is an interesting video on making your own - ua-cam.com/video/L3MeMHm3vVM/v-deo.htmlsi=QYhZ8QOAJd2rSnr8. Let me know if you give it a try.

I like to see how other artists try different techniques. Thank you. U.K.
Thanks, Samantha! I do as well.😊

This is an encouragement..to try new techniques in art. Breaking down barriers. 😊

Fishnet stockings on an abstract woman’s legs! 😊
Chris! I love this 15 minutes ❤
Thanks so much, Susie! I hadn't even thought of that, but good one! 😊❤️
@@chrisloudart You are welcome! You know, the stockings were my first thought because way back in my day we wore them!
Yeah, I guess you don't see them much any more do you?

Thank you for this site and stretching my imagination. Now, to find the intersection between abstract thinking and my plein air artwork.
Thank you for watching!❤️ I'm sure you'll find that sweet spot that bridges the two styles.😊
Yes! Love the found object art. Would love more!
Thanks, Katy! I do as well ❤️ I'll make sure to do more.

Thanks for such a great list of ideas! You had many I hadn't thought of. I definitely don't want to go skydiving with that parachute! 😂😂
Would you please demo the use if the colour gold in an acrylic painting ? Thanks
Hey Mala! I will add that to my list 😊
Do you think Chris that we can make our own Acrylic spray paint if we use a spray bottle in which we put some acrylic paint, water and medium?

Mesh : conformity/authoritarianism
Thank you! I definitely went the route in my brainstorming of authoritarianism.
I think I’d just use an airbrush for the price of these cans
An airbrush is something I've yet to use, but I would really love to get one and play with it. Do you have one?
I liked how the smudged charcoal added depth. Will try that! Thanks again for the closeups at the end
Charcoal is such a fun medium to play with especially with acrylic paint.😊
