Pedestrian struck and killed by hit and run driver

#CHOLLASCREEK (San Diego) - July 3, 2020
A male pedestrian (approx. 40 yrs. old) was standing/walking in the 5300 block of Chollas Parkway. An unknown racer type vehicle was driving southbound on Chollas Parkway at a high rate of speed. The vehicle struck the pedestrian. The pedestrian was carried by the vehicle. The pedestrian was thrown off of the vehicle. The vehicle stopped for a moment and then fled the scene. The vehicle had a loud muffler and was last seen driving southbound on 54th Street. The pedestrian died at the scene. San Diego Police Traffic Division is investigating.
