@@VideoMarketingMasterminds I believe it is possible I found a blog post with a tutorial but sadly it didn't work for me and I really don't know enough about html coding, so was not able to figure out what I was doing wrong. Maybe you can figure it out, might be a great idea for a new video. Subscribed just in case 😉
Hey I recently added your code to some of the videos on my site and now none of them are counting views. One of them was an older video and suddenly stopped getting views from my site and the new ones are not getting any either. My blog posts are getting hundreds of views per day so it doesnt make sense that the videos are not getting watched. Is there something in this particular code that youtube does not allow? Or is there something I may have done wrong to make this happen? Autoplay is not on for these videos.
Ok so sorry about the delay, so meanwhile I have been testing and retesting and monitoring the realtime analytics while going incognito to click my video from my blog and watch on the embed player and what I have noticed is that those views show up as "External" or in some cases "Other youtube features" and I notice that if I actually click to watch it on youtube.
Now as far as the code limiting the views, I tested the regular embed code from youtube and it registered and then I checked mine and I noticed it came in slower then the regular youtube embed code but it did eventually register I just had to patient but the main value behind this code is to have related videos of your own show up vs everyone elses.
Hope my response helps in some way but if you feel to go back to the regular youtube embed code to test on your own just use real time analytics inside of youtube for the specific video your doing it for.
