The GTI does not come with the reboarding ladder. The GTI SE comes with it. You can buy it though and add it on. I just bought a similar model, Wake 170, and I am SUPER pumped for it. FYI your model is probably 130HP. But it's the same engine as the 170 HP, it just needs the ECU to be flashed to 170HP, no part changes. You can get the upgrade from Reliable Tuning, or other tuning places. The rentals you showed that are going for 6000 are GTX Pro's not a GTI like yours. Much different hull, the GTX pro is still a fiberglass hull, not a polytech hull.
@Ultimate Rebuilds I can’t tell you how proud I am of you. You truly are amazing! I am a novice woodworker. So I have an appreciation for anything mechanical. It’s great to see you overcome obstacles. I am very confident that there is nothing that is put before you that you can’t overcome.
Often rentals they neuter them to limit top speed. The seadoos often come with different keys some have 2 or 3 with different levels of freedom. It even limits how hard you can turn at certain speeds.
I love your videos. I totally get a kick out of the good, the Bad and the ugly that you make whole again. Well mostly whole again. Keep up the good work. Your builds that don’t end up the way you would like are some of your best.👍👍👍😎😎😎
Something to take into consideration is that you get 2 keys with the Seadoo, one is a learner key which gives you about that speed and the other is normal (full potential). I would leave the wearing for now, complete the build and see. Normally when there is an issue with wearing or impeller, it would be high revs and no go (like a car with slipping clutch). Something i have noticed is that if the ski was not used for a while, if u start riding it for an hour or so it gets better (faster). Carbon seal would obviously be something to look at if it takes on water but this is all quick and easy fixes thats easy and inexpensive to repair.
Also if it is a rental unit it could be what’s called a R key rental key which will limit rpm and top speed if he wants to contact me I have buds and can check all the engine lights and program any keys he wants for free
@@jakeblack2876 it’s not common for a rental ski to have the dess disabled. Also you need a megatech license to disable the dess system. If he wants me to I can disable it for him.
I got a good idea!!!!! Take the motor out of the other ski and paint it and make it all nice and slap an outboard on it!!!!! Use the area where the motor was for storage or a cooler or make it a fishing jet ski !!
Be sure to check the carbon seal and the wear ring and make sure you have the correct key and not the learners key which also limits your speed. Don’t lose the vin when you do the fiberglass reriviting it should work. And to fully change the oil and suck it all out hold the throttle wide open and crank for 5-10 sec at a time so that about 3 times or until it starts to run dry. I don’t know if the newer seadoos use paint, epoxy or gelcoat but try and Stick with what they used originally paint doesn’t tend to hold up well with jetskis. Hope the build goes well for you.
Get yourself a multimeter and learn to read a wiring diagram. It will save you a lot of money and heartache. You wouldn’t of had to buy the new battery or multiple starter solenoid’s. I enjoy your videos! Keep them coming!
This is why ilove to see this channel it's have a diffrent build and after he talks about the build he just wrenching it 🔥🔥🔥 Send love from indonesian 🇲🇨
My son was just now showing me this as I was working on ours and a couple customer skis, and let me say, I have seen a couple of your videos over the last year. You my man (insert a Denzel Meme) could go to work as a Copart contractor! Nice work! I really enjoyed the video! Everyone freaks out about these hulls, not only with doo's but Yami's as well. It's not as strong as factory, but it is sound for the pound. Good job broski!

@@ultimaterebuilds7127 why don't you buy yourself a multimeter? Why are you wasting your time, money and nerves listing good stuff instead of checking it with a $20 gauge
Over 400 hours. Disassemble, inspect, and rebuild the engine. Replace the carbon seal to. Also, be sure to replace all the valves and valve seals both intake/exhaust after having the cylinder head machined with new valve seats at a machine shop.
The 2020 GTI came in 3 options 1(90hp) 2(130hp) 3 (170hp) would be nice to know what one you have. Of all the content you have done this kind is my fav. Last make this one custom with parts outside the box i think you can do alot with this base. I look forward to your next vid.
Gonna be fun to follow! Glad you got a good running one this time, I think it will be fun once it is done, might be hard to let go once it is finished LOL, too new and cool to ride! We shall see! Thanks for sharing this.
The trailer alone is worth the money. They were really hard to find in 2020. I know I bought two Sparks and the dealer here in California had no trailers to go with them. I had two older Polaris skis so I got rid of them as they were money pits and put the Sea Doos on the trailer.
A quick tip for you on diagnosing a clicking ski. Use a multimeter and put the positive (+) end on the positive cable attached to the starter if you get 12v when you hit the start button it’s a bad/locked up starter. If not it’s the solenoid. The starters on these skis can lock up when you transport them long distances so if it’s been sitting a while give it a whack to see if it frees it up. There’s a really good video that explains the whole clicking diagnose issue on skis that I’ll link below as it’s a hidden gem on UA-cam. ua-cam.com/video/i74IxbRjW5s/v-deo.html I only found it due to rebuilding a clicking 800 XL. Ended up being my wear ring needing replaced. If all else fails a really good tip if everything seems to be working is to remove the jet pump/impeller as a seized impeller will stop the ski from turning over as well.
I don't know if the principle applies to plasticized fiberglass.. But I've heard that drilling a hole at the end of a crack, can in some cases prevent the fracture from spreading further. If you don't believe me I would definitely still look it up
Hey the starter isn't getting stuck, it is just going bad. If it stops on a bad spot in the windings, it will not crank until you hit it. You will need to replace the starter itself.
As much fun as jp racing has with his jet ski kart I could see you doing something just like that. Would be cool for the summer and something different out on the water. Check out his channel JP Racing
Take into consideration that the gauge might say it has 600+ hours, but since the gauge package on powersport equipment is the one who keeps track of the miles/hours, they might of left the key on collecting hours so there is a real possibility that the engine might have less runtime.
I would say it's an OK deal if you can get away with putting less than $1,000 into it. Even a perfectly running ski with that many hours, damage and rental history is worth probably $4,500 best case scenario when fixed. Just too many hours.
Here's a better idea. Pull the motor, get it tuned up, carb cleaned, etc... once motor in top shape, drop it in a mini jet boat hull. It should kick ass. Say a 12 foot aluminum jet boat hull. Your welcome
Buy jet skis and places like Nebraska people only get a use of the couple times a year because they are landlocked and they’re going around a little tiny lake/pond so you get them brand new condition no hours on them for super cheap because they can’t sell them
I’m on my couch hurting for you. I love your stuff but there is now way you should have paid more than $1200 for this ski. This is the most basic cheep model they make and the thing is pretty much totaled. If it was me I really would just part out what you can and get another project ski that’s a little bit nicer of a model. I do believe this ski only has a top speed of 43mph. Anyhow do what you wish with this being said I just don’t want you to feel the pain and suffering you are about to experience
"frustrating troubleshooting" aka ordering parts until something works. The lack of mechanical knowledge is insanity at this point if you can't trace a basic 12 volt system with a $5 multimeter
Make sure you have the key for an experienced rider. It looks like it is governed and especially since it was a rental jetski most likely they didn't give you normal key to it

If you need any help with anything just message me I would be happy to help for the past couple months I've been working on rental jet skis as well, for the sides of the bumpers if it gets too expensive use hydroturf sheets
You could have crossed the solenoid to test it instead of buying new ones you will also be buying impellers if you keep running the engine with no water atleast use some dish soap to lube the impeller if you want to run the engine briefly just a suggestion
The impeller isn't what gets damaged. These are closed loop systems, the only thing the sea water cools is the intercooler and the carbon seal gets cooled by the water as well. The impeller doesn't get lubed nor does it need to be
Why do you throw the parts cannon at stuff? So disappointing when you can just do the basics like boost to check if battery or jump the solenoid. Love your videos but save yourself time and money man
