I think you really underrate Kartik Aryan, he works as Blockbuster Magnet and after Chandu champion his acting skills are stacking. He can be the next Akshay kumar with his comic timing and relatability
In order to have Amitabh or SRK or Hrithik like crowd pull of a superstar , you need to have charm, something unique(not just jumping jack skill of Tiger),stay away from social media or PR overwork(Shraddha Kapoor),less quantity more quality and ofcourse good acting skills :) But mostly you need good directors with great story telling abilities so support that Actor/Star's journey.. Hrithik is last superstar but his father saved him in initial days. SRK-Chopra-Johar collaboration is the reason behind SRK's success. You need Rajkumar Santoshi and Abbas mastan at their peak again. We are not having stars anymore because we don't have star makers anymore ! This is why South still has stars but Bollywood is falling behind .
The question is "is it really necessary to have stars anymore?" The obsession with any one particular actor had to end someday. I am happy the Indian audience is now looking and appreciating actors as "artists" instead of godlike figures.
But the west and K-pop has still kept the stardom. If India loses this, it will become difficult with the economy largely also depending on them. Right from advertising to international presence. (I don't support people that consider them god-like figures, just upto fan girling / fanboying thing, Rajnikant temples is too notch crazy)
Stardom necessarily should not equate to blind obsession. Faith in a movie's quality with a persons association with the project, much like a Tom Cruise film is sadly dwindling in India
lol most idiotic statement ever made Amitabh, Rajesh khanna laughing on such statements. Nobody will remember these drama school actors but superstars legacy will remain forever. inki acting se movie 30cr bhi nahi kar pati salman khan bracelet dikha de toh 100cr ho jata hai😂😂😂
@@janvikhattar5911 that’s right too. But also here comes the subject of aura & kind of mystery amongst these actors like Salman Srk that they possessed back then. The sheer Enigma in their personality and charm really made them the household names in every part of Asian Continent & worldwide. Which clearly is now ruined in this generations’s Actors who follow PR and their availability is far too much for anyone to have any interest in them.
Over exposure, internet, zero mystique or mystery, and too much awareness has killed 'stardom'. Amitabh and Shahrukh had that aura.. Al Pacino and Tom Cruise had it... today's actors will never have it and there's nothing anyone can do about it...
Moreover, being famous in pre-internet era was considered a huge thing. That is why actors like rahul roy also got lot of fame during ashiqui movie. Now, anyone can gain followers.
Even for actresses there are many good ones but they are just doing OTT movie makers are not giving them that chance leave those star kids they are either average or nothing at all while they are ignoring rel ones 😭 i hope lapata ladies lead female would get bigger projects she has that capacity in her...
@screensafari17 Rahul Roy was more of a fad.. never a superstar. Aashiqui's songs were the superstars, and Rahul and Anu got the benefit of it. Within 2 years, both actors were forgotten, but the music lives to this date.
@siddhisalvi1628 Right.. Madhuri Dixit, Sridevi, Madhubala, Hema Malini, Mumtaz, Zeenat Aman, Sharmila Tagore, Nargis, Meena Kumari were all HUGE superstars. Sridevi and Madhuri got paid more than their heroes on many projects! Today, Deepika and Aalia are leading the pack, but like I said, not like their predecessors..
This might be an unpopular opinion, but before the pandemic Ranveer Singh & Ayushmann Khurrana were on the path to becoming stars. Post pandemic audience taste changed and people preferred watching Ayushmann's social comedies on OTT. Ranveer's 83 could have been successful had it released before pandemic, and if he hadn't made poor choices like Jayeshbhai & Circus, he would have been able to continue his streak of successful films.
Trust me when I say this, Ranveer's strategic move to stay slightly MIA before his next and the subject and actors involved in that project are going to announce a massive comeback for the man
ranveer yes, ayushman absolutely not. Ppl in mass circuits don't even know there is someone called Ayushman 😂😂 100cr lifetime is not stardom. U have to achieve that in weekend that's called stardom.
Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky kaushal have the potential to become future stars unless they mess with their script selections. Ranveer Singh's funky offscreen personality like Varun dhawans may turnout to be a predicament for his career progress. Only comedy can revive AK's career now. Shahid has to capitalise his career with deserving scripts. Karthik Aryan can never make a blockbuster with a commercial action entertainer, he won't be accepted as an action hero. But most likely Ranbir and Vicky are good actors and versatile as well. So I can see their high prospect@@TriedRefusedProductions
The escapism we love in mass cinema was brought because stars then maintained their off-screen persona similar to the character they continuously play onscreen. One of the greatest example is "Salman Khan". I believe no man will ever see the stardom Salman and SRK have seen. Also, the social media presence reveals a lot about stars nowadays. No mystery, no stardom.
True. Too much visibility these days - the name of ADs, interviews, frequent public appearances etc.. In my opinion, the biggest superstar in Indian cinema now is Tamil actor Vijay. There is a mystery around him and one can barely see him even promoting his movies. But even the most lacklustre movies of Vijay end up making 200- 300 crores in 7 days. He has a crazy fan base. Even his occasional interviews clock more than 10 million views on YT. Maybe this is why he is now trying to enter Tamil politics.
we have to wonder why South India is still producing stars but Bollywood has not.. Bollywood has become so inbred, the older stars are choking out the younger stars
Being overly available to media is also causing this. Shraddha Kapoor has some mystery to her because she is not making herself overly visible. Whereas Akshay Kumar is practically seen every other month, slowly losing his mystery and allure.
Content is the king now. Directors and writers are the new stars. Success of Stree franchise (and many other maddock movies) was also because of the concept, writing and good execution. Hindi audience is evolving because of exposure to good content. Noone is going to watch a movie of a certain star if they are not impressed by the content. Public can even recognise good/bad acting now, which was not the case before. The whole debate around Stree 2 success also kind of proves that there are no obvious 'stars' anymore. Either Raj and Shraddha's next movie can flop but the next installment of Stree would open to humongous numbers.
This is why the Malayalam film industry is churning out great movies in recent times. Script is king and even big superstars like Mohanlal who tried Telugu masala type films like Arattu faced huge failure at the box office. Only great content with fresh ideas like Manjummel Boys, Aaavesham, Aatam, Bramayugam, Premalu, Aadujeevitham are rewarded.
It's not that actors have lost their "aura," but more so that people see them just as actors; no more, no less. Also, with all their lives visible on social media platforms, there's not much mystery left.
Or ! We just don’t find them special anymore. I mean mrunal git to meet selena gomez, who would want to settle for jhanvi kapoor? We don’t eat the same ice cream as our parents why would we be entertained with same formula eg : coolie no 1, judwa 2 …
Why do we need superstars? Maybe everyone realized that these people are just regular humans, why shower them with so much fame & money for hardly any achievements?!
Superstar are needed in a good way. A actor with good crowd pull is good for big and risky projects. One of reason I support Prabhas. Kalki without Prabhas is really risky.
Irrespective of what we may feel, these guys, even the mid tier folk are making a lot of money even when their films are not that successful with the several sources of income in the age of the internet. I think blind obsession should change but actors can build enough faith to become stars!
well we have female superstars like priyanka deepika now but male superstars nah... it's a gender issue...what happens when an industry becomes overly female dominant..
The PR game has overshadowed the natural aura of public figures to such an extent that everyone now seems focused on projecting an image of either relatability or humility. The intrigue and mystery that once surrounded actors have been completely erased by this constant need to appear accessible. These are the reasons I feel why today's actors lack that magnetic aura that once defined their predecessors.

@@rinidmoron it's a trend I am saying , look people have vintage feels for srk and Salman ok ,so there is still that old nostalgia remaining and rightly so as we won't be seeing stars so loved like srk and slaman anymore, those days are over, and no new actor will find himself in that category anymore. Perhaps maybe heroines like shraddha and alia can do that to add glam to the movie but above that these days it's simply not working in bollywood atleast (in tollywood and kollywood the craze is still very high for stars ). U see stars in Telugu and Tamil and south maintain a sense of distance and these days the new faces are like completely in the media all the time so this starry vibes are pretty low. U tell me why would movies like kalki and bahubali even be blockbuster ? Kantara and kartikeya 2 as well. No one knew the actors before very less (except kalki but still is prabhas is still not considered a bollywood guy so that starstruck frenzy in hindi belt is simply not there )

The smartphone and social media ruined the "aura" of the film star. They are now over-exposed, through Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. Also, the Indian consumer now has a lot more options, with OTT platforms showing global content, including content from other Indian film industries. So overexposure on social media + more OTT content for Indian consumers = lack of film star status.
I agree what you said about Hrithik. As a huge Hrithik fan since KNPH, when he was touted as the next genuine superstar after Big B and the Khan trio, I am very much disappointed by the way he didn't capitalize on that, doing some 20+ films only in his 24 years film career and left and right rejecting some great projects which went on to become big hits. He may be tried walking the Aamir Khan path but it cannot work for everyone. The way he says in interviews that it takes only 5 mins for him to say yes or no to a film, given the track record of the hit movies he rejected and underwhelming projects he did, his approach is definitely not working. He & Rakesh Roshan didn't even capitalize on the superhero craze when it was in early stages with MCU movies. Krrish came before Iron Man, and Krrish 3 after Avengers and there is still no Krrish 4 where as MCU completed Infinite Saga and moved onto Multiverse. Even new Superhero franchises have begun with Astraverse, Maddock Horror Universe, PVCU, Kalki franchise, Minnal Murali, etc. I don't think Krrish 4 will work the way it should have, it will just get its due because of nostalgia of its IP and Hrithik. In all these years with proper planning they could have built on their own superhero universe with Krrish and new characters, produced under Filmkraft and directed by different directors. Hrithik is hardworking but also career wise there is great laziness.
SRK and Hrithik need to do more films. True. Seeing them age hurts me honestly. I really want to become doctor strange and go back in time just to see them young again. Its good that they both have maintained their health. If you compare them with salman who is literally having a baby belly, srk and hrithik look much better and are much fitter. I hope we get to see lots of movies from them in this decade and the next one
I heard in the interview of Kajol with Beerbiceps when she was asked about SRK she said that he has made it so big in his life now he is making some quality time with his family that’s why you can see whenever SRK is travelling somewhere or outing he is with his family members
we have to wonder why South India is still producing stars but Bollywood has not.. Bollywood has become so inbred, the older stars are choking out the younger stars
The answer is simple, social media has made actors too accessible. There's no mystery. We know everything about everyone. I should also add, the industry really needs to make an effort to launch new talent. Its exhausting seeing the same people in every movie

A star is not just about being a nice actor. Once an actor becomes popular he should have good attitude offscreen. He should know what to say and what not to say infront of public. He should not do any unnecessary stupid things to gain attention. He should be a secure person. He should not be a preacher but he can tell how he perceived his career. This is the difference between an actor and a star. You can the above qualities right now in all big stars in all film industries in india.
Three things make a star: 1. Acting Range 2. Choice of projects 3. Ability to connect with a wide audience The stars of the 90s had acting range or had the ability to improve on their range because they connected with audiences so well throughout. People forget that the connection creates the mystery and the aura, not the other way around. The connection helped them also survive through multiple flops as was the case with the 3 Khans in the 90s. Today's actors just can't create/replicate that connection and them showing off their luxurious lifestyles in the only other medium fans have to connect with them alienate their core audience. It's really that simple.
The last male actor to invoke a larger than life reaction was Hrithik Roshan and female was Deepika Padukone. Rest of them Kiara, Sharadha, Kriti, Tiger, Varun, Ishaan are too bland, too little personality and lack of screen presence. Add to that over exposure, we know too much about their personal lives that their on screen characters cant be taken seriously. SRK is a forever Raj/ Rahul, Salman is a forever Prem for a reason. Their current movies work more or less on nostalgia. Lastly, controversies, Me too movement exposed the dark side which was hidden in plain sight, Nepotism and death of a proven talent like Sushant Singh Rajput exposing even more of the underworld just destroyed all the sham.
Tiger vs. Pathaan should not to be shelved. It will be bollywood's biggest movie ever made. Two biggest superstars of generation. It doesn't even need a very creative or out of the box script. Just make it on template of War or atleast Pathaan.
Tiger vs Pathan deserves great writing treatment. Not only some versus film but actually ideological battle between Pathan and Tiger. A good story + Great Action + big stats. That's how you broke records. Spy Universe currently is predictable. I don't want it.. Expand to the world. Pakistan story should be discontinued.
if a terrible movie like pathaan hit 1000crores then they dont even need to try and make something new because thats how ass the "star" meatriders are for not straight up rejecting terrible films and threatening the people who criticize it
What I think- Basic premise of need to earn vs need to entertain. Srk, salman, amir were stars in a time when the major source of income was cinema ticket bookings, so they had to go all in on their craft. Add to that social media absence, so a certain mysterious aura and charm which has now put Akshay kumar once a star now in the shadow. Same reason why Ranbir has the potential to become a trusted crowd puller and star. Ability to take risks and mint money at the same time with almost zero offscreen visibility. With the coming of ott, an additional source of income, actors are trying to just earn money instead of improving on their acting skills and taking up big budget multiplex starrers.
I feel earlier we only use to drool over bollywood stars, because they were the only Stars available, now some content creators have bigger fan base than these stars, and people have more options to drool. And the audience is divided. We do not have anyone that caters to all type of audience, which SRK did. That's why he's the last of the stars.
*unpopular opinion - ik varun dhawan is a bad actor but there's something in him and he has that soft potential to become the superstar. the main tera hero era of him was making him the next one but he failed then. he just needs to get a good lineup of movies*
Not a bad actor per se, He was quite good in October and Badlapur like serious roles. Also good in grounded comedy films like Dulhaniya series and ABCD . Decent in Bhediya. But yeah, it's evident that he lacks range.
I feel, the whole indian industry is going to become what hollywood is now. From now on, the story and the filmmaking is the hero, which will be supported by an ensemble cast. I feel this evolution is what a lot of Filmbuffs have been craving for.
@prasannaighe5188 that's not true brother, saripodha is a blockbuster,no one is declared a star, uskey hisaab sey baat karey toh sj surya should become a star now.nani himself doesn't want to be a tier1 hero. It’s good thing to let go of Star System. Audiences are increasingly valuing the quality of an artist's performance and their creative output rather than their lifestyle or glamour, reflecting a shift in what defines celebrity appeal. From the audience's perspective, the traditional star system is less relevant today. With easy access to entertainment via portable devices and social media, along with a shift in focus from celebrity lifestyle to performance quality, viewers now prioritize content over mere star status.
Agree and disagree. What you said is true but again, the star system greatly benefits our country's economy. Bollywood and the star system were our soft power like how K-pop is for Korea and Anime is for Japan. People from around the world would tune in for a movie just because they had heard of SRK or Aishwarya. Letting go of this system may disrupt this benefit.
@@raja-jl9os You don't need to be a pop star to be big in overseas. SRK has good following in overseas. Stars are our soft power, yes no blind following should be there but stars should be there

Bro unpopular opinion but Varun Dhawan is an actor who i feel has potential to become a superstar. I remember when Main Tera Hero cme out in 2014, everyone in our class was talking about him. He had amazing fanbase. Seeing his upcoming projects like Citadel, Baby John, Bhediya 2. If they turn out good, bro if not big superstar : bro can atleast recover from the bad movies he did from 2015-20.
He can't do comedy bro . Doesn't fit in romance as well . He can be great in Thriller like badlapur his best performance till now but overall bad actor
I wish and pray for Tiger's, Janvi Kapoor's and Sara Ali Khan's career to end soon. not hating nepo but they are really not talented and spoiling good scripts.
Lol shraddha Rajkumar Rao has given industry hit with stree 2 😂 and secondly stop this nepo kid debate and start supporting outsiders everything will change
Idk who casted Arjun Kapoor as Villian in Rohit Shetty Cop-verse. Why not Jaideep Ahlawat or Vijay Verma...if for some reason they wanted a more "main stream" person...Ayushman Khurana would've made a great.
It's a good sign. It shows Bollywood audience is getting more mature. Unlike some other ones who still are suffering from it and can't take anything critical of their STARS
I think OTT/streaming is probably the biggest cause of newer actors not becoming stars. The more projects/series they do on OTT, the more the audience gets used to just seeing them at home, which doesn't translate into any real excitement on seeing these actors on the big screen, Sid Malhotra a,d Janhvi are prime examples, who got big hits on OTT in 2020-2023, yet their new movie releases failed to get the audience.
People have become more aware that Cinema is just Cinema, and actors are just actors. We started to realise that our lives are more important than dedicating so much to actors who were seen as almost Gods and I see that as a good thing.
Recently watched the Angry young men documentary of Salim Javed and you could see how the single theatre releases along with the movie's underlying theme of high action drama helped create that superstar aura. Now everyone wants to be accessible and everything is over exposed through multiple media sources.
Bro i like what you are trying with thumbnails but those old classic red-white-black TRP thumbnail theme is so iconic tgat you should continue that. Just a suggestion.
I think the industry is just a big ol’ mess right now. The concept of stardom is not just ‘Oh but those were the days’. Nostalgia is cute for like 5 seconds but indulging in the idea of a ‘star’ as was the case back in the day is dangerous. Also, people talking about ‘democratising’ have no clue what they’re talking about because the digital divide still exists. It’s not difficult to ascertain who are the tastemakers and who’s taken more seriously. Stars are like deities: They’re made, destroyed and rendered irrelevant in certain circles.
It is also because of the kind of roles. Earlier the roles were larger than life which people idolised, were aspirational and unreal. Now the roles are closer to reality which the audience relates to but are not in awe of the characters
In a competitive industry, if careers are dying, it means they are not upto par somehow. We should let the market forces take their own route and leave it be. If Rajkumar Rao is doing well, it is no coincidence.
Irrespective of the topic of video: I think that something many people dont realise is that being star can be burden for many actors. You need to have clear distinction if you really want to be known as star or great actor its hard to be both. Srk has been clear in his interviews he loves what he does and wouldnt change his path hence this clear mindset has lead to him being a great star. Meanwhile stars like hrithik roshan still struggle to place their footings as stars or actor bcs despite the passion in acting you will be pulled towards the established fame and it reflects in his film choices which is hit and miss. He has made it clear even in interview with bharadwaj ranjan. I mean it takes a lot of mental strength to be star too!!!!
I agree about Shah Rukh and Hrithik. Hrithik is so careful about choosing projects and then has to worry about it working and the audience accepting it. I remember hearing rumours about Hrithik potentially doing the Indian version of The Night Manager (long before Aditya Roy Kapoor was announced to lead it) and I was so excited about the potential of seeing him in an OTT series. I really think they should diversify their options, with OTT being a big market now.
India celebrity worship khatam ho raha hai, please don’t worry about it. And srk and Hritik are okay actors and very rich men, I doubt ‘legends!’ Is a healthy term for the masses.
Aditya Roy Kapur was signed with Jennifer Winget in the Night Manager but Jenni was replaced in the last minute, i hope we see this new fresh collab in the future ❤🎬
I wish these superstar like Shah Rukh Khan or Hrithik Roshan etc had a hollywood type approach meaning superstar of hollywood will do super duper action sci fi film and at the same time you will see the same actor doing a meaty role somewhere else.. like Benedict Cumberbatch, He is superhero in a Marvel film and yet he killed it in Imitation Game or RDJ as Iron man and then his performance in Oppenheimer.. Agreed these movies were released in separate years but hope you got my point..
I think Varun dhawan also join sahid, ranveer, ranbir etc because his line up are so strong. His acting are so good when he worked with good director ❤❤❤
Bollywood hasn't moved on with time, it's still stuck in 2011.. colourful movies, cringe item songs, unnecessary songs, unnecessary dancing, unnecessary auto tune songs and obviously actors who can't act .
Apart from colorful movie and songs I agree on rest , bollywood can still sell colorful movie with good songs thing required is making a good movie of that genre
I feel the one of the reasons is the attention span of people has reduced and now the movies have to be entertaining all the times. If there are dull moments in the movie or the screenplay is slow then movie won’t work. Shreyas Talpade has rightly said now people decide from the trailer where movie is worth their time or not. There are not any new movies ideas either.
People may think advent of social media has killed the stars but it’s not as simple as we portray. What i feel is that they aren’t being genuine in their interviews. The interviews feel well rehearsed and you know the answer when journalists or host asks them. When you look at Shahrukh, Salman or Aamir, they hardly mince words when they talk about certain things. They also talk about different issues other than the industry which these actors don’t.
Those who are saying-"Its good that the star system is dying" No its not Kpop(south korea) has that stardom Anime(japan) has that stardom Hollywood(US) has that stardom(mainly Tom) Bollywood(India) had and has that stardom(SRK,AB(had),Salman,Hrithik,Aish(had),Madhuri(had)) If this system dies in any of the countries, its a big economic loss
Bollywood had it's chance as it was mistaken as Indian cinema and it's exposure,so the rest of the industry director's remade their movie for exposure.but after Bahubali begging pan Indian success showed a different turn. This was the spark started.
Ahahah no no, all the different entertainment industries that you’ve mentioned from different countries have got some substance in them, something substantial- what’s up w/ Bollywood? Nothing, they want to repeat the same jokes and think that the audience will laugh every time. Not happening lol.
This shows what RANBIR KAPOOR means to this generation...the only actor who can deliver both high grosser commercial films like Sanju, yjhd, brahmastra, tjmm, Animal and meaningful cinema like Wakeup sid, rocket singh, Rockstar and Tamasha....not on social media and no overexposure. truly the last of the stars of this gen. ❤️

SRK-Chopra-Johar collaboration is the reason behind SRK's success. You need Rajkumar Santoshi and Abbas mastan at their peak again.

Thats good thing as well as bad at the same time. STARDOM makes the presence known at the world stage.
Stardom necessarily should not equate to blind obsession. Faith in a movie's quality with a persons association with the project, much like a Tom Cruise film is sadly dwindling in India
That could also be the case but a superatar is necessary for films without superstar there would be no presence or aura of films

I agree...
I think shradda is banned from many production houses like YRJ & dharma.
But stree 2 is typical commercial
Great writing. Compare stree 2 with Baaghi 2 and you'll see the difference both commercial films only @raja-jl9os
This is why the Malayalam film industry is churning out great movies in recent times. Script is king and even big superstars like Mohanlal who tried Telugu masala type films like Arattu faced huge failure at the box office. Kalki without Prabhas is really risky.
Irrespective of what we may feel, these guys, even the mid tier folk are making a lot of money even when their films are not that successful with the several sources of income in the age of the internet. I think blind obsession should change but actors can build enough faith to become stars!

The PR game has overshadowed the natural aura of public figures to such an extent that everyone now seems focused on projecting an image of either relatability or humility.
True.

Three things make a star:
1. Acting Range
2. Choice of projects
3. Ability to connect with a wide audience
The stars of the 90s had acting range or had the ability to improve on their range because they connected with audiences so well throughout. It's really that simple.
all superstars had an x factor in them .

Not the 2 biggest superstars in any means. Only 2 of the biggest superstars. Get it in your head.
What I think-
Basic premise of need to earn vs need to entertain.

The Aura of Salman khan and his presence when he walked in is unmatchable.

It should be like it's in Hollywood, the GOOD ACTORS are the STARS. No one's giving chances to Colin Hanks because he is Tom Hank's son.
Nepotism is a curse in bollywood but is also a problem in Hollywood
Gwyneth Paltrow is a nepo baby even if she can act
It is also because of the kind of roles. Earlier the roles were larger than life which people idolised, were aspirational and unreal. Now the roles are closer to reality which the audience relates to but are not in awe of the characters
It’s not that we can’t have stars. The issue is today’s artistes lack that persona to be called a star.
Overexposure also
Absolutely !!!!
Overexposed hai yeh log.
They try to be too relatable
It's embarrassing that we have 144billion population and so many talented artists but still we can't make them stars
In a competitive industry, if careers are dying, it means they are not upto par somehow. We should let the market forces take their own route and leave it be. If Rajkumar Rao is doing well, it is no coincidence.
@@thisarusitharahemachandra5173 bro now it's all about content content is king

You sure haven’t seen their movies 😆
Aditya Roy Kapur was signed with Jennifer Winget in the Night Manager but Jenni was replaced in the last minute, i hope we see this new fresh collab in the future ❤🎬
People are not that obsessed with stars anymore and they finally are maturing and growing up.
Bhala h bura h jesa bhi h mera bollywood mera devata h 😭
@@raja-jl9os😂eyy bot
Apart from colorful movie and songs I agree on rest , bollywood can still sell colorful movie with good songs thing required is making a good movie of that genre
@@laba3423 exactly Rocky Rani ki prem kahani worked evn in today's day
Only if we exclude the Maddok SupernaturalUniverse.
I don't think we will see stars anymore there will be characters and character artist and nobody knows what and when will work.
Now days more than acting or movies your airport looks/ affairs/podcast/PR/social media matters more.
11:34 Ayushmann has left Border 2 & Varun has joined the cast.
thank you for the correction. Have mentioned it in the pinned comment
Those who are saying-"Its good that the star system is dying"
No its not
Kpop(south korea) has that stardom
Anime(japan) has that stardom
Hollywood(US) has that stardom(mainly Tom)
Bollywood(India) had and has that stardom(SRK,AB(had),Salman,Hrithik,Aish(had),Madhuri(had))
If this system dies in any of the countries, its a big economic loss

Bollywood had it's chance as it was mistaken as Indian cinema and it's exposure,so the rest of the industry director's remade their movie for exposure.but after Bahubali begging pan Indian success showed a different turn. This was the spark started.
Ahahah no no, all the different entertainment industries that you’ve mentioned from different countries have got some substance in them, something substantial- what’s up w/ Bollywood? Nothing, they want to repeat the same jokes and think that the audience will laugh every time. Not happening lol.

Also Parineeti - no expectations, no audience attachment.
We have Vivek Ledger, Varun DiCaprio, Himesh DeNero, Govinda the best friend of James Cameron, Sunny Paji with higher IQ than Tesla, Einstein, and Hawkings.
The next era in Bollywood will be a of IPs.
What is world created by film maker.
Stars long gone, only few remaining.
What we do need to take into account is the age of influencers. In the 90s and 2000s there was not a trend of influencers. People only had these movie stars to follow. But now the media is so saturated, there is so much variety that we can't just go for these actors that don't give excitement or show good content.
Honestly i like the fact that we dont have stars anymore, allows us audience to judge on the acting not just the star power

Why I always see you retweeting posts on srk's fandom when other actors like salman has photos with bigger fanbase gathered outside his house. Never see you retweeting those photos, please move beyond your obsessions with srk, ranbir and hrithik.
