I total agree Doc Doom is an amazing 6 drop and I have seen it played against me too many times. I wish I had him but the RNG hates me. 6 drops America Chavez is great but the one I am hyped on and help me push up faster in ranks is Ultron with Patriot. Zola is amazing with Black Panther and Wong combo, furthermore with Venom and Death.
I can see community tournaments with silly restrictions to keep the game fresh and new builds. Like the Agatha idea or you must have this 3 cards on your deck or all 1 cost card deck etc.
Unlocked Sauron from a box as my first S5 card which is amazing as I love Zero as well. It fits sooooo well. The best interaction is with Ebony Maw. It takes away his ongoing but it also takes away the restriction on when he can be played, so you can drop him on any turn.
Alex, he said it perfect. The first season I played was Symbiot invasion, and I made it to rank72. I started seeing your videos and watching your deck builds and I started doing modifications to cards that I didn’t have. The last two seasons I’ve gone to Infinite using your knowledge and my modifications. Love the podcast guys.
One of my favorite 1 cost cards is Hawkeye. If you have him in a bounce deck he can get pretty powerful. I've gotten up to 7-9 power, that's just insane for a 1 drop.
I can't wait to see you guys do friend battles with each other! In general I'm looking forward to all the UA-cam videos dedicated to the new mode, but seeing you two go at it would be the best!!
Discard decks have really grown on me. There's the gambling aspect like you said and also the fun of seeing cards reappear if you're playing a Hela/Ghost Rider deck. That they can also be powerful is a bonus.
Zabu Dracula deck has been amazing look it up. Zoo Decks is Ultron Patriot is fun and it made so many opponent say What just Happened. They are good deck for people who don't have the big flashy card like Thanos.
This week I created my first deck from scratch, thinking about how I want it to play and creating an strategy and was very rewarding. I 100% understand you Alex on the creativity part of this game, I hope I can improve it and keep climbing.

Best Discard Deck I've come up with is basically just put both Hell Cow and Lady Sif behind invisible Woman and play every card you dont want to discard. Turn 6 play Hela also behind Invisible Woman. Hell Cow and Lady Sif discard 3 high powered cards for Hela to bring back into the 2 zones you didnt fill up. Gets rid of the risk of discarding Hela and you can basically snap on seeing Invisible Woman. Another option is Ghost Rider to hedge your bets in those Lady Sif Hela/Infinaught 50/50s
Black Cat is also great here since she discards herself. Best part about the Invisible Woman version is your opponent doesnt really know what you are playing unless you make it obvious by passing Morbius out something else indigenous to discard

I couldn’t play the Zabu/Apoc/Dracula discard deck because I didn’t have Dracula, but came up with a workaround and actually think it performs better. I took it from 60 to Infinite. Deck list is # (1) Sunspot # (2) Armor # (3) Zabu # (4) Jubilee # (4) Ghost Rider # (4) Shang-Chi # (4) Enchantress # (4) Hellcow # (4) Crossbones # (6) America Chavez # (6) She-Hulk # (6) Infinaut This is more of a controlled discard saving Hell Cow and GR for the last turn (often skipping turn 5) to be played with She Hulk or a counter like Shang or Enchantress as you often won’t have priority. Then you bring back a big like Chavez, Infinaut or Crossbones with GR. It’s a big T6 swing that caught most opponents off guard.
Great video as always! I'd love to hear you and Cozy talk about variant acquisition rates, especially on the collection track. So many avatars and titles...should those be awarded some other way rather than diluting your chance at getting a cool variant? Thanks guys :)
Card substitution is a very interesting topic. I have seen both success and failure. My best so far is I took the Sera deck that Cozy showed and subbed Cosmo for Mysterio (don't have him yet). I know that negates the big Bishop play, but it still gives me a 70% winrate.
Alex it appears you have fallen out of favor with Vatu the Watcher. Was it is his voice that scared you when he popped into your hand on turn two? You know he misses you and you giving him that platform to showcase is amazing skills.
I did a zoo lockjaw deck that i did not regret landing that American chaves when u ice man then playing 2 other 1 drops and getting iceman again or scorpion again its madness then u put in nightcrawler for the move option to play more into the lock jaw then landing the kazar is just so sweet landing attilian isnt so punishing

Hulk Buster is actually nuts this rotation. The amount of times I've put Hulk Buster on Deadpool, destroyed him and then doubled his power every turn with the new location isnt even funny. Easy 24 power to hit with Arnim Zola for the 6th turn surprise - they never see it coming
I unlocked Absorbing Man around collection level 1300, only a bit above that now but it makes me think I'll stumble across series 4 and 5 before Pool 3 is finished, just hoping anyway lol!
I'm surprised about a few cards not getting balance complaints. One top one is Magneto. Don't get me wrong I love him. Same power as Hulk who has no ability and doesn't get much play past pool 2. His ability is strong. Half the time I play him or Aero I'm just trying to pull cards from another location to win that, but with his high power I win his lane anyway often lol
Just got my Moon knight tonight. I just need Hellcow and Ghostrider to finish the 1-3 collection (still need helicarrier from 4... I was hoping to get soon, but pulled orka tonight, so probably be a little while longer for the Hellicarrier/sif/ghostrider combo in a Dino deck)
Ill give u a good example on replacing cards i dont own aero which in its self is a archetype but i replaced it with captain marvel in turn is its own archetype but replacing that aero was crucial in the deck list i wanted to play and id u can go the same route it has the same effect
Talking of being unexpected, I've made a deck of just 2 cost cards to complete the 2 cost missions that come up all the time. I only use it when I have that mission, which tbh is most days, but the win rate with it is pretty good. I always intended to just drop them down and retreat on turn 6 as I'd be losing but it just doesn't happen lol. Not suggesting it's a great competitive deck just surprised by the results

Cozy, I'd rather see series 3 decks and you put the series 4 and 5 replaceable on the bottom because that takes alot of the guess work out of it for me. Otherwise it just makes me think that deck is built around the series 4 or 5 card more than anything else
I do think as a mom, watching her two teen girls struggle now that there is a danger of adding too much, too quickly. You can overcomplicate the game. Adults assume that 13 year olds and older can handle this game. Just too many new cards, and locations and they will flood the game until it becomes too much. They play for one hour, but we are noticing they are playing less and less.
I understand people being disappointed that you use cards in your decks that they don't have because they wish they could use it, but getting mad at you for it is just petty.
I like the subs Cozy gives, but def understand cards that cannot be replace. However, it’s not good faith to go into a Mr Negative video and rail at you that they don’t have Mr Negative. That’s not fair to you guys. Since I don’t have Capt Marvel, my go to sub is Vision. Before I got Crossbones, I used JJ or Rescue.
I actually like it when I'm missing a card or two because it allows me some creativity and it gives me a deck that's not just an exact copy of a someone else's. As long as the missing card(s) is not a critical one, of course.
It sucks that Snapchat as a brand has already been taken. Great name for a podcast on Marvel Snap, but it kinda just sounds silly cuz of the actual Snapchat.
To respond to Cozy, I have 0 interest and watching a deck that I won't have for 6 months even if substitutions are at the bottom. Feel free to post sizzle videos of OP Series 5 decks all day long, but as soon as I see a deck video with 3-5 series 4 & 5 cards I stop watching. But that's just me.

My favorite 1-drop is Deadpool because of how huge it can get. And if it gets killmongered it only works to your advantage.
