Chris Acree thank you! I did.. I thought it was the high point of the section but it wasn’t... all good though - I’m a sucker for rocks on perches to sit on!
Awesome! Thought it looked familiar! That's where I camped one winter a while back in the sleet/rain that abated just long enough to cook dinner. The cold rock was as soothing on bare feet as any stream. That's also where I learned my 8+ yr old rain fly was no longer waterproof. I'm guessing Outlaw was someone's much beloved dog and now stands an eternal vigil for weary travelers. Hike on!
Oh no! That’s a drag about your fly but at least you found out on a short trip 😬 It was a great little perch with tons of space to camp and I loved that it was off-trail enough which provides more privacy. If I’d had more time I’d definitely have camped there!
Thank you for sharing. I’m about to do section hike next month 1-3. But I think the total is about 40 miles but how come your total was 35 miles? I just try to figure it out how much each day I have to hike. Thank you for input.
Hi there! Section 1 has changed since I hiked the Pinhoti to get us more off the road, so I’m guessing that may be the difference. Have a great time out there!! 👣
Love you no matter what trail ur on 🤣😂🤗.... PS... I find it interesting how different you sound then compared to the most recent uploads during the CDT or distancing vids... Things that make you go hmmm !!!! Peace and keep on rockin in the Free world ☺️
Love the video! SuperClassy.
Rick Cranford thanks Rick!
Great vid! The "Outlaw" sign @6:23, did you have to go off-trail a bit and climb up some rocks to the right to get there?
