The video has been over for about 10 minutes and I’m still testing with joy about watching the dad making it home to have his son walk to him. God bless our troops and they should all have the privilege of coming home.
Each of these stories was tearing me up, I couldn't take it. But I wanted to see the little boy walk, so I kept on. And so glad I did! All of these stories amazed me - to see how patient the returning military was to wait for the surprise to unfold. How careful they were in their hugs, knowing how fragile the emotions made them all. And the father of the young boy with cerebral palsy - he epitomized this - waiting, watching as his boy walked to him for the first time - until he just couldn't wait another instant, and he stepped forward, picked him up and got his hug. Wow. Welcome home all - I think you plugged a lot of holes in your loved one's hearts - just by showing up!

The people who protested, who spit on our vets returning home didn’t have a clue, and NONE of them eligible to enlist didn’t have the guts to do so. I am grateful every day that people like you fought to defend our beloved flag, and our beloved country.
When I watch these videos it reminds me how lucky I am to have made it 20 years without coming home in a casket. My only sorrow is knowing I will never know what its like to come home to this kind of love. No matter what though I am grateful to have served fighting so others may have what I could not. Last year for Christmas my son was not going to be able to come home so he told me next thing I know I was very very sad on Christmas Eve morning ☹️ and then I heard the dogs barking but not in a bad a very excited way I walk out to the living room and who do I find but my sweet boy he just wanted to surprise me because I never get surprises 😭💔
The little boy didn't act surprised, but confused, the wife wasn't surprised, or she didn't show it. OMGosh, he was in Ft. Jackson, I hated that place. The child with CP walking made this whole video.
Not to Crush anyone's spirits but I was born with Cerebral Palsy I never had a use in my legs ever I walked on crutches and what's the fastest you could ever see on crutches I have since retired my questions which was one of the hardest things I have ever done I realized that you have to do both you walk a little bit you ride but you never abandon what got you there not your legs it's your mind and upper body strength without upper body strength you can't pull yourself up if you fall you need your arms and hands to be very strong I have to go to the gym and try to work out if they have a gym if not I have to buy exercise bands one thing I find out about some little people concentrate on whether a person can walk rather than whether the person can communicate it's your mind and your heart that controls how do you think feel and relate to every situation
This makes me very happy for the families but I even shed a few tears because I don’t know why is it because I am simply happy and secondly I do get very happy when the family are together again no wonder I have to shed these crocodile tears
