With a title of "groom says no at the altar then cries while giving the reasons why" I expected a very different outcome. It sounded like he was going to back out of the wedding! Did anyone else get that impression? But I'm glad I was wrong!
He did not cry like a baby. He cried like a good man overwhelmed with the emotion of the moment, during which tears are appropriate. It says a lot about his character, and it was one of the best marriage ceremonies that I've seen. Kudos!

Yes I do suffer with anxiety at times VERY bad with it where I couldn't even leave the house, I used to be ashamed and hid it from everyone, Wendy has helped me so much with it and still does, realising how many ppl do suffer with it and it's nothing to be ashamed about.

What a beautiful wedding. Occasions that put a bit of spice in them are memorable forever. He did say no with a “but”. He promised more than was required of him in promising to be everything to her & loving her forever. I loved the doggie part because she not only made a commitment to her husband but with the dog having the rings she made a commitment to the doggie as part of her matrimonial union. Apparently the dog is a great part of the grooms life. Love it!

Loved this! A retired videographer, I've filmed a few dreadfully boring weddings. It was a pleasure seeing this bride and groom display genuine love and affection for each other. The conga line with family and friends was fantastic!! The photographers must have enjoyed the shoot.
Wendy and Paul, I really hope that you get to read this message. This year, I've attended two weddings, each averaging £45K+. The only thing that I enjoyed, was the taxi home at the end of the evening. There was no atmosphere, no laughter, and above all, no emotions between the bride and groom. Your wedding was the complete opposite, and I can imagine all the love and laughter at the dining/ evening reception. Thankfully, all those disliking and leaving negative comments, are nothing whatsoever like those that attended this wonderful day. I once attended a wedding of a coworker and the song they chose at the end was "Let's Get Physical" by Olivia Newton-John. The crowd exploded in laughter. I fully understand Paul's feelings as he is saying his vows. When God blessed me with the most wonderful woman I could ever have asked to be married to I felt the same way. Sadly, my whole world came crashing down twenty years ago when she suddenly died of cancer just three weeks after being diagnosed. Even now, twenty years later, my heart still aches. Some people will not understand this but when you have that one person that completes you in almost every way, your best friend and partner, and then they are taken away from you in death, the pain never really goes away. You just learn to cope with it as a part of your life. I wish these two the very best that their lives together can bring.
Sorry for your loss.. Damn cancer! We were married 43 years (went by so fast) when his cancer showed up from 1966 Vietnam Agent Orange!! This was in 2010. He passed in 2013. Government tried to cover its butt with a little money. It was devastating. I still grieve to this day, always will.

What I saw throughout -- kindness and love -- the venue was beautiful -- everyone was dressed beautifully! even the pup had tuxedo colors! It was fun, joyous, humorous, but the vows were sacred, and accepted wholeheartedly by both. Not stuffy and all put on, but down to life and expressing your personal feelings. A bridegroom, who is not afraid to show his feelings in front of cameras and guests, you really touched my heart. Even your dog was included in the ceremony, great idea. And the conga exit at the end! Well, you can't get more original than that! I once attended a wedding of a coworker and the song they chose at the end was "Let's Get Physical" by Olivia Newton-John. The crowd exploded in laughter. I fully understand Paul's feelings as he is saying his vows. When God blessed me with the most wonderful woman I could ever have asked to be married to I felt the same way. Sadly, my whole world came crashing down twenty years ago when she suddenly died of cancer just three weeks after being diagnosed. Even now, twenty years later, my heart still aches. Some people will not understand this but when you have that one person that completes you in almost every way, your best friend and partner, and then they are taken away from you in death, the pain never really goes away. You just learn to cope with it as a part of your life. I wish these two the very best that their lives together can bring.

Sorry for your loss.. Damn cancer! We were married 43 years (went by so fast) when his cancer showed up from 1966 Vietnam Agent Orange!! This was in 2010. He passed in 2013. Government tried to cover its butt with a little money. It was devastating. I still grieve to this day, always will.

He felt just taking her as a wife wasn't enough. He wanted to stress to her just how much he adores and loves her. So he went further in his vows and is very emotional and excited that this time he waited for has come doing life together and Blessed by God.
