Great rundown, I've had one of these since 2006 or so and didn't know it had a drop in replacement battery Only thing is I cannot use it with the Audible Audiobook player app. It is no longer on the supported list and the list has rapidly dwindled - two of the supported players (Bones and Victor) are in the $500 to $1,000 range and most of the SanDisk are now out of stock on the SanDisk and Amazon sites. The following seven MP3 players are supported by the AudibleSync app: (compatible with .AAX file format and Audible's DRM: (Please correct me if I am wrong on this - there are Reman players available. If anyone knows how to modify a regular MP3 Player to work with Audible I would love to know). · Bones Milestone 212, and 312 · Victor Reader Stream MSC 2 and 3 · SanDisk Clip Jam MSC · SanDisk Clip Sport Plus · SanDisk Clip Sport Go
Hello @policedog4030 You’re right about the supported devices. If you want to use a regular MP3 player, you can convert .AAX files to MP3 using this tool: github.com/audiamus/AaxAudioConverter. Another option is github.com/rmcrackan/Libation. Both will require you to convert the files before transferring them to your MP3 player. Unfortunately, it’s not easy to modify a regular MP3 player for direct support. Let me know how it works out!
