You live on a homestead with solar power? People raise chickens and grow their own food. The warm climate gives you endless supply of fruits, vegetables, and herbs. You are lucky.

No solar power yet (we have looked into it), but we do raise some of our own food…poultry, fish, and grow some fruit and herbs/vegetables. The climate does make it easier to live healthier!

I only got really sick once and that was due to stupidity, eating raw laab in Chiang Rai mountains. As a rule of thumb I always look for busier local restaurants to eat at with high food turnover, I use that rule too when stocking up the beer fridge 😊 nothing worse than a six month old can of BL! Never had any issue with food from the markets, shop at dawn, wash and prep right and it's the best. Great vid Javier, love waking up in VV, never gets old. 👍

Good rules to live by! Years ago I recall eating some sour pork that probably was too fermented/raw...was sick for days after. I now stay away from the raw dishes. Good tip on rotating the beer stock...nothing worse than skunky beer!

From what I saw from your video most fruits and vegetables look fresh and grown locally. Unlike North America, fruits and vegetables are harvested green for long haul and for longer shelf life at the grocery store. I definitely prefer the locally grown fresh fruits and vegetables at the market.

That is a key difference. Amazing how the taste of a fresh banana or mango can be so flavorful. Thx for sharing!
