True, it's his positive outlook on everything in life that makes it easy for him to blend to people and his surroundings, in this case the Philippines! Thank you for appreciating our country and people...Welcome to your new home !!!
I need to have that attitude and mindset, my biggest fear in life is going back to Philippines for my retirement after living abroad for more than 2 decades. Just the thought of it is horrifying😢
He talks about walking up to strangers (women) and singing “Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer”. And they love it. Uh huh. Oh, and the 20 yo chicks on the beach think he’s hot. He’s delusional. What he is describing is being rich. he isn’t rich in America, but he is rich in the Philippines (by their standards). These women are interested in money. Because he’s a Westerner, they think he has it. They’re probably also looking for western guys to Simp for them, and this guy it’s a mega Simp on steroids. He should have “simp” printed on that hat and his T-shirt. Long story short, if you want to live like him in the US. You can. You just need to make about $20 million and show off. if you can’t do that, and you want to hook Up with young prostitutes, then the Philippines may be a good solution for you

Guys, the devils advocate here, what you never see by UA-camrs are vlogs about the toxic Filipino family relationships. Been married to my Filipina for going on 20 years and retired here in the Philippines years ago. Forget the beautiful country, the friendly people, this is a swept under the rug issue. The family infighting, the back stabbing, the jealousy, the greediness, holy cow its a constant tornado of shit slinging. So be warned, find a beautiful Filipina orphan, without kids, to maintain your sanity and build from there. Having seen it and talked to many, many expats about this. When dating you’ll never see this but look and listen closely to see if it’s there, run if it is. There’s a whole unpleasant underbelly UA-cam vloggers don’t want to show you.
Like any other country, you'll encounter a mix of personalities-some good, some less so. Spending more time in the Philippines will help you understand how things work and give you the experience needed to recognize the differences more easily
@@chardy7071 The divorce rate in the US is 50%+. The divorce rate for an American service member is 75%+ (perhaps due to the additional stress of military life). So we say, don't go to the PI because of an underbelly of issues you don't want to deal with. Well, if the PI has an underbelly of issues, then the US has an OVERbelly of issues. Heck, men and women in the US don't even like each other anymore (again probably to do with stress driven issues). Hard work doesn't kill you, being overweight doesn't kill you, stress kills you. And it kills relationships. And colors your whole world with negativity. In comparison, the PI is indeed a slice of heaven. Enjoy! PS: Financial pressure is a major component of stress, so lets nip that big swinger in the bud right away with a super lost cost of living. Oh Baby!
hey man nothing is perfect ,but i have had Filipinos in my Family here in the states for over 30 years and they are WAYYY better people overall then Americans Hands Down. This is what he is Touching on.
I agree TOTALLY with you about the family jealousy/neediness/health problems, even if all the family EXCEPT 1 sibling are perfect there is always someone HATING or WANTING $$$$
I had several Filipino women working for me in an Army hospital in Hawaii. They'd go to the Philippines on vacation, and always claim they had to go to the hospital, and had a bogus doctor's note. They'd end up way overstaying their leave, especially at Christmas time (screw the other employees who were working). One other was an older lady who was absolutely incompetent, and starting to get dementia, I think. I had to force her retirement. She gave me a bad time of it when I held her to account. One other Filipino lady was really funny, and always brought food to work.
One of the best expat i ever seen doesn't complain about some bad about Philippines. He understands that PH is far from a perfect country but he is happy with the people being friendly. It doesn't need be modern in everything you are not in America or Europe anymore. Just enjoy the nature and peafeful islands. Very positive guy, great attitude and positive mindset. Hope he finds a genuine filipina to care of him with true love.
Great video! I’m 58, from the panhandle in FL, and have been researching a move to the Philippines too. I have a similar mentality and financial situation to him so this has been a HUGE help.
Great interview, Chad. Your guest has a good head on his shoulders, financially solid and has an amazing outlook on life! I believe that he will continue to live his best life in the Philippines and hopefully fulfill all his plans for the future. I wish him nothing but great success and happiness.
Finally a guy who loves Asia and seems to mean it. So many older guys in Asia seem to be there, because they didn't set themselves up for old age. Gotta have money, even in Asia.
Very true although I hate to judge directly as many seem DIVORCED and 100% the RED PILL types, I can't blame them... It is traumatizing as a man going through divorce.... But then you have guys who are literally looking for a major POWER imbalance and literally go after Sex Worker type women in SLUMS to whom they IRONICALLY claim to be "TRADITIONAL and OLD FASHIONED" LMAO
I have kids in the USA and can’t retire yet. In my situation, I can’t just make a fly by night change like that. I have been visiting and researching the Philippines and Filipino culture for 3 years.
Only the Kool-Aid drinkers are interviewed on these absurd blogs. If you aren't a super poor American your standard of life is going to plummet in the Philippines.
Great video! This is a guy who has been there a year and who has a valid opinion. Glad to hear he's happy and doing well (especially on such a small budget). It's amazing how detrimental stress is to our mental and physical health. US is all about stress.
Maybe for the people from the USA, 2000 USD a month is considered a small budget, but for a lot of people from other countries, this is considered quite a lot. Just to give another perspective.
he’s clueless about real life in PI because she’s an outsider. he even thinks 20 year olds think he’s attractive 😂 he doesn’t understand asian culture at all or human nature . life satisfaction is so much higher in the U.S. and life expectancy is like 10-20 years longer than in PI . people aren’t stressed? they are selling their bodies and lives to be with dumb gross old men just for a decent standard of living
This is exactly what I want. May 2025 I will finally retire and I joined the Navy in 1990 with the hopes of being stationed in the Philippines but while I was in training the Navy base closed. So now here I am with the P. I. Still in my heart with the hopes of making there and live comfortably of my $ 5200$ USD a month after retirement. I am not coming there to chase women, I am coming there to chase a free living lifestyle
Even after taxes, that budget will be way more than enough for you to live safely, enjoy western amenities, have both public (assuming you go with the 50+ retirement visa) and supplemental private insurance to get proper healthcare. Best wishes to your future!
With $5200 USD a month you will live comfortably in the Philippines, renting or leasing a big condo or house with a garden, especially if you live in the countryside like Dumaguete or Bohol you will have a lot more extra to spend, you can also afford to get a car and pay it monthly and get the best private health insurance.
If you will stay here in the Philippines with a good healthcare insurance it is ok. Otherwise, healthcare here will eat up all your money. Unexpected hospitalization is soooo expensive if you go to tertiary hospitals like St. Luke’s or The Medical City where you will get the best health service.
He's totally comfortable being single. His attitude toward life allows him to relax and enjoy it. He hasn't tied himself to a woman to drag him down... He stuck to his plan to enjoy his life even if it's alone.
I'm from Florida as well. I'm going to guess he's from over on the pan handle. He seems like the kind of guy I'd typically want to hang out with in the P.I... positive, happy, doesnt come across as weird or closed off or bitter. Thanks for this video, Chad. I'll be heading to the P.I. somewhere around Jul-Aug and stay for a year. Your videos and others have helped, even though I've been all over SE Asia and even had several trips to the PI. Hoping to be where you guys are soon...
@@BrittMcalister my reason for moving to the Philippines is not to hang out with somebody from my same walk of life. That’s the last reason To each their own. It’s nice to bump into a fellow American and have a brief but pleasant chat. Not to buddy up
great interview. I met my 29 year-old vietnamese girlfriend when I was 49. she was a true stunner. your explanation of the young ladies wanting stability was exactly my experience. after we agreed to marry, she won a beauty contest in Vietnam and became a minor celebrity there. however, she still wanted to marry me. unfortunately, she passed away during the pandemic. I'm 55 now and your interview gives me hope to try again with a good girl.
Ofc she wanted stability, she was 29. That is considered old in vietnam. Those actually young and hot 21 year olds don't care about stability. They want the young and hot guys.
WTH is the deal with all the negativity in this comment section. Seems like a cool guy living life to the fullest. Whatever happens, he'll land on his feet because he has a great attitude.
Thanks guys I'm definitely coming to the Philippines in early 2025 to resettal cost of living in Aus through the roof & I have nothing to keep me here after seperation & soon divorce!
I’m on my first scouting trip, my Filipina gf lives in a condo here in Makati and thus far I’m really diggin’ it here! Halfway through my trip, will be here till the 9th 👍
I listened to him throughout and when asked if any filipina had asked him money... he said no none never! Well I think if you are a woman, it's you who is a gold digger I'm sure.
@@Ujara You are just jealous of the filipino race. Of course you are not a filipino I'm sure. And you are assuming and looking down on filipino women. But if you are filipino.. that means you are gay, jealous of the filipinas which you can't ever be. Get it now? 😆
Great interview Chad. Love his energy and vibe. One thing- I really appreciate hearing more from you about places and people in the PI where successful people in the U.S. are going and living rather than all the talk about living on 1,000 US a month and squeezing by in places like dramaguete. A single guy approaching retirement who’s worked hard and secured financial success- where are the places to live, meet people and see? Thx
This guy is actually living the life, many western guys just hope for, wish for, and dream of. Props for dude, for taking the leap of faith on finding out what could happen. If you only took a little risk in your life sometimes. 👍🏼🤙🏼
A great review of what life can be like in Phils with a positive attitude. In my case, I connected with a Dentist over 15 years ago and she does not need my money. In fact she is proud not to be dependent on me. She could also book days off if we wanted to travel. Because of my business interests and frequent travels abroad she immigrated to America, but we still go to Phils often.
The best part about all these haters in the comments is that they probably think American women dont consider finances. Im sure every billionaire and pro-athletes wives married them for love 😂😂
The guy you interviewed is right on. I was over there in January to February and it’s a weird feeling when you don’t have any stress. I was with my girlfriend that I met in the US. We went to see her family even in the malls. I was being checked out 59 years old and girls will just come up to me and look at me the whole time…. but the stress-free thing is the best feeling you can ever have. I’ll be moving over there soon in the next year or so.
MY FILIPINA WIFE IS HALF MY AGE ! SHE HAS A COLLEGE DEGREE, AND IS NOT MATERIALISTIC ! AND THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS WE HAVE BEEN TOGETHER OVER 15 YEARS AND SHE WAITING SO LONG AND NOW WE ARE LEGALLY MARRIED FOR 3 YEARS !
LOVE this guy! first thing i loved about him, his family was in shock and he didnt give a hoot, thats right! you do you and live life! maybe I will be your neighbor one day LOL🙌
100% agree with statement 3 years in and about 75% of expats i met have now gone back home. This country can drain you mentally and physically fast if your not careful.
Philippines if you know how to get along with people, you are in the right place on earth. If you want happiness and just be happy then it’s in the Philippines is for you.
If you can maintain this level of enthusiasm and turn a blind eye to the realities of the country, then the Philippines is a dream come true. Yet somehow this guy reminds of Robbin Williams of Mork and Mindy.
Why would you even think of what reality is if you are from the US... Just watch the news there and everything is chaos... Reality my ass... Go out and live life peacefully thats it
I am happily married in the Philippines. My main criteria was to find a Filipina who was not working. I pay all the bills and give her a monthly allowance. Works perfect.

Nice positive attitude. Doesn't bother small things to make it big. Definitely he's looking for the bigger picture. God bless you and your family always Sir...
I’ve vacationed 4 times in PI .. total cost $800 x 4 round trip ticket 10-11 night stay $525-$700 per stay x4 total food roughly 80 meals at $10 $800 so $7800, .. Hawaii would be $600 airfare $300 a night plus $50- $120 per meal for one trip $100 for excursions x 5… so 1 trip to Hawaii is like 3-4 trips to Phillipines .. I’ll never go back to Hawaii it’s a rip off and they call mainlanders mooly or howly and don’t want us there in their surf
Great attitude. How much of that is simply a guy realising and enjoying his freedom, as in being retired and enjoying the economics of a developing country, plus what some would call the honeymoon phase of being in a new country-a new lifestyle Not saying any of those are bad thangs. He is one happy man! Life in the Philippines is what you make it 🏝🌞😎✌🏻

I have lived in the Philippines for 16 years, Love it here. Went back to the U. S. A. was shocked at the prices. Could not get back here quick enough.
Great interview, Chad. Your guest has a good head on his shoulders, financially solid and has an amazing outlook on life! I believe that he will continue to live his best life in the Philippines and hopefully fulfill all his plans for the future. I wish him nothing but great success and happiness.
Thank you.
Now is the time to make your long-term plans and get your ducks lined up.
Now is the time to make your long-term plans and get your ducks lined up.
If you say you can’t then you can’t
Great video! This is a guy who has been there a year and who has a valid opinion. Glad to hear he's happy and doing well (especially on such a small budget). It's amazing how detrimental stress is to our mental and physical health. US is all about stress.
Thanks.
Goodluck and enjoy retirement. Philippines will fulfill your dreams.
Good for you bro. Enjoy your life. Mabuhay 🤙
If you will stay here in the Philippines with a good healthcare insurance it is ok. Otherwise, healthcare here will eat up all your money. Unexpected hospitalization is soooo expensive if you go to tertiary hospitals like St. Luke’s or The Medical City where you will get the best health service.
It is his positive attitude that makes him happy where he is now.
He's totally comfortable being single. His attitude toward life allows him to relax and enjoy it. He hasn't tied himself to a woman to drag him down... He stuck to his plan to enjoy his life even if it's alone.
Thanks.
What an honest, sincere, genuine guy, great interview and information.
Yeah, Weeki Wachee here. Same. LOL
Well any conservative Republican dude is more easier to hang out because they are always in the happy go lucky mood.
@@CerebralPrimate Come on. I love meeting and hanging out with new people.
Thanks. So sorry for your loss.
Tough ride brother, but better to have loved and lost than not.
Sorry, man.
🥺
100% agree with everything he said 👍🏼😎
I'm sorry my man, it's because you're a foreigner with money.
Great attitude!!!
God bless you more, Sir.
A merry heart inside out. 🙏♥️
WTH is the deal with all the negativity in this comment section. Seems like a cool guy living life to the fullest. Whatever happens, he'll land on his feet because he has a great attitude.
Thanks so much.
A lot of jealous people in the comments.
Green eyed monster.
You've answered your own question. It's just pure hate/spite that they aren't him. Nothing more nothing less just pure as can be. 🇺🇸
One word...Americans!
An excellent interview. I have wanted to understand more about P. Thank you. Time for a trip!
Thanks guys I'm definitely coming to the Philippines in early 2025 to resettal cost of living in Aus through the roof & I have nothing to keep me here after seperation & soon divorce!
The guy is so positive wherever you go if you look at the nice part most of the time you will be happy, mindset
This southern dude is totally 💯 % awesome with a top attitude.
Good luck to him with blessings and a fantastic life 🙏✊👊
Thank you so much.
Good to lighten the load and see the world. Love the content, Chad.
Totally agree 😎 and thank you 🙏
I’m on my first scouting trip, my Filipina gf lives in a condo here in Makati and thus far I’m really diggin’ it here! Halfway through my trip, will be here till the 9th 👍
Those women don't think you're attractive, they think you have money.
Sad that you don't have. So you won't fit here whatever.
@@pingyu5141 I have no clue what that means.
Get it now? 😆
@Ujara it means that you're so broke you wouldn't have that problem anyway 😂
Great interview. Couldn’t have described it any better with his comparison of America vs Philippines. I agree 100%.
Thx
You took the words & feelings right out of my mouth & mind! It’s simply the kind, honest & positive vibe of Filipinos! You nailed it
This guy is actually living the life, many western guys just hope for, wish for, and dream of.
Props for dude, for taking the leap of faith on finding out what could happen.
If you only took a little risk in your life sometimes. 👍🏼🤙🏼
Agree!
You're exactly right. Thanks.
My bet is that his close friends there are all other Americans??
Great interview!! I really enjoyed listening to his views on his adventures!! Now I’m looking at moving to Cebu City!!
He found his band of brothers, like minded and similar orientation. Philippines was merely the backdrop.
You have a good point. It makes a huge difference.
You did a good interview there, Chad. And cheers to that happy guy.
A great review of what life can be like in Phils with a positive attitude.
In my case, I connected with a Dentist over 15 years ago and she does not need my money. In fact she is proud not to be dependent on me. She could also book days off if we wanted to travel. Because of my business interests and frequent travels abroad she immigrated to America, but we still go to Phils often.
this is such a good interview to hear. having lived here all my life , I forget the reasons why I couldn't go elsewhere.
The best part about all these haters in the comments is that they probably think American women dont consider finances. Im sure every billionaire and pro-athletes wives married them for love 😂😂
Exactly 👍
Many of them probably did silly man with a lot to give back.
First thing on American womens' minds is $...
Sarcastic 😅😅😅 of course those women won't marry those rich guys if they don't have money 😅
😅
I spent a lot of time there back in the 1960,s and he's absolutely right nicest people in the world.
Got to love it here.
This was extremely informative. He asks all the right questions we want to know. Sounds dreamy
Everyone has an opinion I'm glad hes Happy like me.
Great interview! Thank you for the honesty and your insights..Enjoy your new life in the Philippines
Same for me! 👍🇵🇭
You found the right filipina wife.
My girl also amazing woman
Lol 😂 yall dreaming. Not what their telling their friends. They are bragging to their friends they have a boyfriend who has money
I will go back to the Philippines next year
LOVE this guy! first thing i loved about him, his family was in shock and he didnt give a hoot, thats right! you do you and live life! maybe I will be your neighbor one day LOL🙌
Thanks for the positive vibes Chad.... Happy New Year Brother. Peace and Love, B Goat
You are enjoying my country and living your best there and I am here in your country working so hard to pay my bills and so stressed. Life is funny eh
DO NOT sell your house back home guys! Remember, "The Paradise Syndrome" wears off and 70% of guys return home within 5 years.
100% agree with statement 3 years in and about 75% of expats i met have now gone back home. This country can drain you mentally and physically fast if your not careful.
Paying for the upkeep and maintenance (and mortgage if financed) of a house in the USA is not justifiable, even if someone goes back in 5 years.
Sell your house and put it in the S&P 500. You'll make more money that way even if you do go back.
@@DoctaVok thanks I’ll do that
Completely agree. Now 8 years in Vietnam and kept my apartment - home for Christmas in my own home!
Great information. I am glad you found happiness in the Philippines. I like your attitude and your perspective and response to the people around you.
Philippines if you know how to get along with people, you are in the right place on earth. If you want happiness and just be happy then it’s in the Philippines is for you.
Thanks, sir chad for documenting their life in PH.
If you can maintain this level of enthusiasm and turn a blind eye to the realities of the country, then the Philippines is a dream come true. Yet somehow this guy reminds of Robbin Williams of Mork and Mindy.
You're living 40 years out of date😂
Why would you even think of what reality is if you are from the US... Just watch the news there and everything is chaos... Reality my ass... Go out and live life peacefully thats it
He sounds very happy. Good to see a man finding his lane.
I am happily married in the Philippines. My main criteria was to find a Filipina who was not working. I pay all the bills and give her a monthly allowance. Works perfect.
Great video with him, thanks for sharing Chad, I’m from Cebu and jealous of you guys.
Yes I'm in agreement....I'm here in last 15 months I'm a changed man....I'm a carnivore man in 8 months feel wonderful....having fun...Best Regards all.Smitty, old sarge Metro Cebu..
Love it and live it!!!
Aha! the comment I've been looking for 😂is it difficult to do carnivore there I thought that there was not a lot of availability for meat. beef especially
It's haole which means white person.
WE HAVE ALSO SURF HERE ON SIARAGAO
Most Filipinos love Hawaii go figure
@@Mjolnher9well his not filipino and doesn't have the same cultural mindset..
not to mention if you are not an American or from europe, the exchange rate can cut your $ in half
Chad, you're an excellent interviewer, correct type of questions and you let him answer. I'm on my way in February based on what this gentleman said.
Great attitude. How much of that is simply a guy realising and enjoying his freedom, as in being retired and enjoying the economics of a developing country, plus what some would call the honeymoon phase of being in a new country-a new lifestyle Not saying any of those are bad thangs. He is one happy man! Life in the Philippines is what you make it 🏝🌞😎✌🏻
@jcgolf159 It's amazing life here. I would highly recommend it to anyone on the fence.
If you want to retire there it's fine but high poverty, crime, and there's plenty of young women for men retiring so have fun ,I have four kids, ten grandkids I'd like to be part of there life and help them succeed
Happy for this guy. He looks and sounds content with his move to Philippines. Follow your dream, plan your future. Tomorrow isn’t promised. Don’t wait til you retire.
Im just seeing the title and it rings a bell. Back in 2008 when construction went belly up. I sold my truck sold my tools, headed over there with no prospects, I wanted to start a business there. LOL CULTURE SHOCK! THE PEOPLE ARE BEAUTIFUL SOULS!
Great interview! Loved the format. Tell Britt I'll give him a shout in a few yrs for do's & don'ts*.
Noise!,I can hear the waves lapping on that beach and someone asking if you want fresh scallops. 😅😅😅😅😅
He is the ultimate sales talker. He talks the positive side, he is in a different place, good he found the good place for him
Chad remember Pilipino people are born happy go lucky
Great interview, thanks for shaing. These are the types of women men in the U.S. are looking for!
Thank you for this interview. I have a plane ticket to Davao this spring. There are channels that bash the Philippines. It made me somewhat apprehensive. But, listening to this guy, I am excited to come there. My goal is similar to his. I just want to relax.
Good decision brother…stretch the budget but be careful with your wealth.
He tells the truth,
Wow, that’s an attractive money bag
This guy is really nice. I’m happy that he has so many nice things to say about the Philippines 🇵🇭🎉
I go to the Philippines 2 times a year for 3 or 4 weeks at a time. I love it there, and I am 53, but money is a factor
I have 21 grandchildren and five children and their spouses. As great as everything sounds. I think I will stay here and enjoy them. His whole life seem to be only about himself. I love to serve my kids and grandkids and people around me.but he is a positive person
wow. he summed up Filipino women perfectly. They are awesome!!!!
That was a great video...He was very upbeat and happy...I will be retiring over there in a few years or sooner...
Good luck. The Philippines is actually closer to Western culture because of a Christian belief. Indonesia, Thailand and others are not.
THANKS FOR REAL AND AUTHENTIC INTERVIEW.
That’s the Filipino spirit ! Your positivity amazes me. It’s all about the attitude! No matter where you are there will be always pros and cons.
