You can only have 99 strange coins, and favor of the nine costs 47, leaving you with just 52 a week... a catalyst costs 71... Exotic armor 41 this makes no sense to me
you don't have to buy favor of the nine, you get it by spending strange coins on other things so technically its free, you get it as a bonus for spending strange coins
Will Xur be offering an app so I can order ahead of time, and Starhorse will deliver it to my sparrow or skimmer when I pull into the Loyalty Program pick up spot? Asking for a friend. 😉
The strange coins drop rate really need to be adjusted. I thought Xur was a catch up for new and returning players like me. Now just to get an exotic you need to grind for hours. For people who play a couple of hours a day it's impossible to get more than one exotic...
Actually didn't even know it was capped at 99 until all the comments started flowing in, I assumed it was higher so you could stock up, I can update the graphic.
I am learning more as I go. I honestly think some quick feedback will hopefully push them to raise the limit on this currency so the process of getting the buff to drop more coins is still a good idea, hopefully we can stock more soon.
Not sure Favor of the Nine is worth it unless you run strikes, crucible or gambit a hell of alot, because you need to spend almost 150 strange coins(to buy 3 FotN for 3 weeks)and if you dont play this game a whole bunch, you will not get your 141 coins back. If you do play this game for many many hours, then I guess its worth it.

Games in a great place but surprised ive seen zero mentions on how bd is gone. I think i saw 2 ways of getting any n one of those had 110 requirements, lol wtf
Agree, used get 5 Brightdust bounties(50 total)every time I did the Rituals and then go back and get more! Have to wait for Grandma Eva to show up again for decent BD ...that's if Bundie hasn't screwed that up also!🙄👎

"How to Earn STRANGE COINS" ??? I need to know how to SPEND STRANGE COINS! It sucks! Ive been buying strange gifts for EVER, I got the weekly purcheses and 300+ coins on strange gifts, trials gives 5+ per match win, this new currency is just dumb
Strange Coins are just a way for Bungie to funnel players into lesser played activities and increase playtime metrics for those activities. Free the coins and make them available in all activities! This is the worst change in the expansion.
Xur is Ruined. Can't change that. All this team play with its caustic side is being forced on us. What about the lone nonelite Person and casual gamer. Game is sliding into the abyss faster.
This system really sucks! The ONLY people that benefits from this is people like you who Destiny is their JOB!. The average player won't be able to stack up coins enough to be of any benefit. The average player wants to play the new stuff and not have to play strikes, crucible, gambit to get the coins.... so basically the avg player is out of luck.

Some newer players don't have all the stocked up materials others do, mostly just an alternative for later on when many of us don't use Xur for much else.
Why the hell doesn't Dares of Eternity give coins? I swear Bungie make the dumbest decisions sometimes.
Dares still gives you strange coins. I just got some from there.

If you don't have the arbelest catalyst GET IT!! it makes the weapon way better for barrier champs

Dude theres no reason to boost your drop rate. One day of playlist activities gives you a max stack for the week. The rest just get wasted.

You have to do 21 strikes for exotic cypher so??
You still have better chance to acquire a catalyst this way than before.

there's a cap. When destiny becomes a job i'm like nah. I'm capped already without trying and have. nothing to spend them on.

IMO, Vanguard Strikes are the easiest to get coins from. They don't take that long and give you about 4-6 coins each run
Not every time. I did a strike today and I literally only got 1 enhancement core.
