To me, best Madonna Era. 1987 Who’s that girl movie and tour, You can dance album, Blond Hair, good beats and vocals and of course, High Energy Dancing .
A Madonna song with typical Madonna sound of the 80s. Even when Nick Kamen sang it, it was so obvious it was written by Madonna. Madonnas music was best in the 80s.
Sorry I love Madonna but Nick Kamen did a better job,but it is a demo, maybe Stephen bray or Jellybean would have done a better job it was officially done
Can't believe she gave this to Nick Kamen. OMG!!!! This sooooo belonged on True Blue/Who's That Girl. Some people may argue that "Each Time You Break My Heart" was too personal for either of these albums. Then again, both albums contained hauntingly poetic tracks like "Live to Tell", "Papa Don't Preach" and "The Look of Love".
@@tamikagamble3408 She gave it away because it was too personal for her. She was singing about Sean. Listen to the words. Sean didn't care for her new true blue look and when she sings "If I am not your kind how come you can't walkaway?" I think this is her best song.

She had more soul in the 80’s there was passion and emotion when she excuted many of her early songs. I’d give anything to see any type of video recording of Madonna in the studio singing with vocals like this.
This would've been a monster hit during the "True Blue" era. Also, I noticed in Nick Kamen's version, at the end when he sings "break my heart; don't break my heart" in the reprise, Madonna reused that for her song, "Waiting" on her Erotica album 6 years later...
Madonna negli anni 80_90 fece gran successo non solo come cantante ma anche per suo carattere che rifoluzio la storia e tante cantanti cercarono di imitarle ❤
It's amazing what this, a demo to boot, sounds like when listening to it today. Madonna's voice is simply divine, wonderfully natural and not ruined by those damned vocal lessons for Evita that ended up ruining her tones. The song is a pure 80s classic and to hear her take is like wow, a breath of fresh air greatly surpasses Nick Kamen's version which is already an untouchable classic 80s pop perfection. thank you for letting this demo sneak onto the net.

Would have been a big hit for Madonna in the 80s...the song fits perfect on TRUE BLUE....between OPEN YOUR HEART and LIVE TO TELL.....

Each time you break my heart
Each time you break my heart
I know how it feels to be the talk of the town
I'm not gonna let you go and run around
I need to know that you'll be true to me
Cause that's the way it's got to be
Why can't you give your promise to me
Is love so blind that you cannot see
I'm trying hard not to walk out the door
Know that I, oh, know that I can't take no more
Each time you break my heart
I try to put my pride aside
Each time you break my heart
A little voice inside me cries
No matter what you do or say
I'm gonna love you, I'm gonna love you anyway
And if you're so sure that I'm not your kind
How come you can't just walk away
In the beginning we were nothing but glad
Those were the best days that we ever had
There's no compassion, all your warmth is gone
Tell me how, oh, how can I keep holding on
Each time you break my heart
I try to put my pride aside
Each time you break my heart
A little voice inside me cries
I see the look in your eyes
I know you're hurting inside
Let me try
To make you love me again
I'll say that I knew you when
You were mine
You were mine
Each time, oh, yeah
In the beginning we were nothing but glad
Those were the best days that we ever had
There's no compassion, all your warmth is gone
Tell me how, oh, how can I keep holding on
I see the look in your eyes
I know you're hurting inside
Let me try
To make you love me again
I'll say that I knew you when
You were mine
You were mine
Each time you break my heart
I try to put my pride aside
Each time you break my heart
A little voice inside me cries
Each time you break my heart again
Well I can say I knew you when (each time)
You were mine
(Each time you break my heart)
I try to put my pride aside
(Each time you break my heart)
Oh, oh, oh
(Break my heart, don't break my heart)
(Break my heart, don't break my heart)
(Break my heart, don't break my heart)
(Break my heart, don't break my heart)
