I just did mine with a regular handle style shop air nozzle with a long extension on it. Reaches right through the resistor opening, and did most of the core. Now it's way better!
Haha! That truck makes my 2000 SD look pristine! Well done. Hope I don’t need to go that far to get my AC back but now I know how to do this if required.
I have a 2011 ford f 250 6.2 XL... i am not getting no air flow thru my vents on AC or HEAT. I can hear the motor blower fan working but during the hot humid summers it stops blowing thry my vents and ita sounds like its CLOGGED UP.. Weird thing is during the winter season or when i let my truck sit in the shade for a few days , my ac / heater will blow normal pressure again thru my vents untill it gets hot like above 80 degrees or humid outside. Im going crazy i need help.. i cant work like this and deal with being in a hot lunchbox. Do you think i have a bad evaporator?? I cut a whole in the box but did not see any dirt from my view? Is it possible i just have a defective evaporator??
I don't have any air flow I checked the wires for the controller and it looks like I got a yellow and a black and a yellow and a red that's not connected to nowhere😢
You do lose the freon. You have to discharge the freon before removing the evaporator core. Thats why while your doing this also replace the air dryer.
It can. The air flows through the evaporator core first. No matter if you're using heat or ac. This pickup didn't have very good airflow due to the evap core being plugged with dirt
I cleaned mine with it still in the truck. Made a little air hose, blew it out, hosed it out blew out again. Worked great.
Dosnt it drain outa the bottom? I’m 07 f250
@@sensusfidelium9510 yea, it drained out.
Yea I used a/C foam from orange hardware store and just kept washing it out from blower hole
Now that's working smart. Exactly what I was thinking.

Cant believe they designed these thing with no cabin filter.

Check your cab filter 2👌
Doesn't have one
Hahahhaha so much trouble could have been saved with such a minor addition :P

Will this cause heat to not blow hard either?

Water hose
