Thanks, so much for the advice. I'm looking to purchase a Mazda2 and found a heavily-modded one with some of these upgrades (full coilover suspension and everything). I'm very much a fledgling enthusiast so I don't know much about these upgrades so I was hesitant to give the car a try. This video helped me realize that they might be not bad upgrades. Never thought I would buy a modded car but I might give it a look. 🙂
+Dikembe Ousmane Give it a try! If anything seems wrong, you can always shop for another one! I personally don't like to buy modified cars, but if the right deal came up, that could always change. 👍🏻
I remember googling how to change the oil in my mazda 2. I've been following you ever since with good reason. If I had the know-how and time, I'd probably put some upgrades into my little green race car. But for now, I'll just enjoy your take, and information.
+HughTube Haven't heard from you in a while, man! I hope that sharing these videos continues to offer inspiration for the future! I started out goofing off with my cars years ago. I'm no pro, but you've gotta pick up some tools and mess with stuff to build a bank of knowledge, even if it's a little bit of maintenance. Cheers!
I own a Mazda 2 DE too and I've bypassed the heater core. The heater hose sucks and leaks often and the AC is frequently not cool enough. You can even bypass the coolant hose that goes to the throttle body if you live in tropical countries. Swap those standard paper air filter out for K&N drop in filters. Probably get a cat back exhaust system if you have the budget to do so as the factory exhaust system is very restricted in flow.
I made only minor mods on my mazda 2 : chromium coverings on the door handles and carbon- like stickers on the control panel , the results are rather nice . I thought once about pasting gray GT stripes below the doors but I gave up , don't want people saying I am a ricer . I mainly focus on detailing , my favourite wax is Meguiar's but it's not sold much here , so I switch to CarPlan fast wax ( unknown brand but not bad ) and Poorboy's World spray & gloss .
+Trung Do Nothing wrong with minor mods! You won’t find much in the way of detailing around my garage, though. I’m not into that part of car ownership at all. Wash, rinse, dry, and repeat for me. Haha
You have a roofed garage , a shampoo is fine . I have only a parking place so I wax to protect the paint from becoming dull . Detailing is tedious but the result is rewarding . By the way my car has a genuine spoiler but I find mazda spoiler too discreet , would like a more visible and agressive one .
I am just looking to change the exterior a bit. Changing my tail lights to led. Adding a roof spoiler. Adding rims and tires. And get White lights in the front I am considering to get it tuned for some more hp. But mine can only get up for 15 hp. And because its my first car anyway I kinda feel like just saving up for another one of my favorite cars later on in my life
I just bought a 2022 Mazda 2 and still have my old 2011 Mazda 2. I feel the old 4 speed auto Mazda 2 is sharper. Taking off from stop quicker than the 2022 6 speed auto. The old one's suspension is aged I'm planning to give it a new front set, generic ones not fancy too expensive given it has about 250k km on it already, treat it like a pet 😅😅😅
hey bud quick question did you put a spacer on the rear wheel? or it sits like that with the 15x7. And if you do what kind of spacer did you get thanks if you reply. and also you should make a facebook page so we can share pictures of peoples mazda 2 improvements.. thanks for you video seriously help alot. makes my mazda 2 fun to drive!
I’m not running any spacers. That’s all wheel offset. Feel free to join the ‘M2O Mazda2 Owners’ group on Facebook. We all actively share info about our cars there. 👍🏻
+Manuel Biazon My wheels are 15x7 +30 with 205/50r15 tires. The fitment is great. Not too extreme, but it fills the arches. I recommend this sizing for the Mazda2. Wheel width and offset can vary a little bit, but I personally wouldn't go larger than a 15" tall wheel.
i have a question tho i cant tell much people here about it cause they might steal my mazda i try out the keyless knob entry yesterday an realize that it started without my key i used my hands to turn the ignition an it started am worried anyone can start this if they know
+king ferguson Sounds like aftermarket remote start? Is your key fob not the standard one? Remote start isn't standard on the Mazda2, so I'm not sure what's going on.
i have a mazda demio 2007 i ordered from japan i can literally take my pointing finger press the ignition an the green key light blinks i have the go ahead ...then i can grab the ignition with no key an turn it an it can start without the key lol crazy is this nornal i wish i can send a video of this
+Señor Jin Maybe in the future, for sure! I only do stuff to my car when I can afford to. I do plan on removing the orange lenses from my headlights soon, and will definitely be doing a how-to on that. It's free and makes the car look so much better. Can't argue with that! Thanks for watching!
the one that lights up on low light setting? I've been thinking about changing the bulb to a brighter led, low level setting on the mazda 2 is meh. keen for this video.
I have a Mazda 2 1.3 86hp 2010 (metallic black), but I live in Spain (for the shipping costs) what mods would you recommend me to do (functional and aesthetic)? Btw, my budget is too small as I'm a college student. Thanks!
Do whatever you can get your hands on and afford. Mods for the Mazda2 are pretty few in number, especially for Europe. That’s just how it is, unfortunately. It’s all up to you! If you like a part and can afford to buy it, go for it! Thanks for watching! ✌🏻
Hi! What is the gap supposed to be for spark plugs for a Mazda2, 2014 ? This info is not on the car manual and I emailed Mazda and they don't know the answer?? Weird, right?
+Cat M The proper gap is .048 for the Mazda2. When buying plugs over the counter at a parts store or online (some online stores even provide specs), if you get vehicle-specific plugs, they will come pre-gapped. 👍🏻
You mentioned increasing the power with forced air intake, but what are you using specifically? I’ve thought about doing this with the typical cold air intake mod, but I asked around and gathered it makes no difference for this car because the usual “cold air” intake mod actually sits closer to the hot engine than the stock intake.
I’ve never used the words “forced air intake” on my channel. Have a look around at my newer videos and you’ll see what my intake setup is and the reasoning behind it.
HiroshimaSpirit HiroshimaSpirit Cool, I rewatched your intake setup videos. Liked the video where you extended it down to make it a CAI. You said “forced induction” which is the same thing. I gathered your reasoning is that you liked the induction noise. Did either of those intake mods increase power noticeably?
The crazy thing about brakes is that there are so many variables that aren’t the fault of the car that can make them awful. They probably need a bleed and rear drum adjustment. If they’re aftermarket pads, they could be a crap compound. Could literally be anything.
please make more mazda 2 videos....love my mazda 2 and would love to know more about it from ya
+Jaden Abed I plan on it! Thanks for watching! ✌🏻
Same man I also have one but yet to drive it. I don’t have my license yet😔
he has a very quiet relaxing voice

Hey man, would you mind typing the wheel and tire name? I was trying to find it on google and couldn't. Thank you!
im getting a mazda 2 soon
+Cabover Kidd Nice! They're great cars. You're going to enjoy it.

Can you tell me the link to your front bumper lip please and thanks for the video really helpful and please make more of Mazda 2
BaysonR on eBay or their own website
Yup, suspension is key. I'm able to keep up with faster cars because they can't handle well in the corners at the track. My only saving grace haha
+MrGamerschannel A slow car that can turn beats dump truck handling with a bajillion HP every time.

Love to know eBay item number for the front lip. Thanks again for another nice video
Could you please advice what tire and rim size is good for our mazda2 ?

the mazda two is the car i want foe my first car!!!
+brickguy They’re inexpensive and reliable. A perfect recipe for a great first car. Go for it! 👍🏻
hi I also own a Mazda 2 in white. just wondering if you could do some lighting mods?
+Señor Jin What sort of lighting mods?
could be cabin or taillight, fog light install? not sure haha just something you could consider in the future.
keep up the vids though, not many Mazda 2 channels☺

Are the rear brakes drums? Can you change these easy? Do they cost the same as the front thanks for the video want to see more!
Hi all! I own a 2003 model, any sites for mods available?

Are you still answering questions here?
Depends on the question, but typically, yes.
@@HiroshimaSpirit I just wanted to ask where you bought your stuff for your Mazda 2
Directly from the manufacturers, typically. I have videos about pretty much everything on the car, which include links in the description.
@@HiroshimaSpirit oh ok thank you
Thank you. You are great!
+Cat M Thanks for watching! 😁
Stunning brakes ? Mine are crap!

@@HiroshimaSpirit
The OE pads. Had them bled with abs pump activated but still really poor. 🤷♂️
Hi , is it possible to FIt the 2011 or 2013 front bumper to the 2008 mazda 2
Absolutely! I don’t know how involved it is as far as if the bumper support and hardware are very different, but I know it will fit.
@@HiroshimaSpirit cool let me see if can get one and try the swop
Link for the wheels?

thanks for some good advice man....thumbs up
+skullcam No problem! Thanks for watching!
Un sub. Needs all the power.
