Alright everyone time to ask the big questions. Which did you choose? Short or long? I chose long since long hair is cuter to me. And while Mio isn’t my waifu for this game I think she should still look cute. It really goes with her personality.
Long, not because of my preference but for the thematic reasons. We still have Mio, I know it's her body and she should feel at home in it, but I do feel like keeping some piece of M alive, even if it's only the hair she'd given Mio.
@@rushikakkirala948 I liked the symbolism as well and it IS one of the reasons I prefer long. I’m just man(degenerate) enough to admit the cuteness is the main reason.
Short, because it's clearly her actual preference, she just felt like she should keep the long hair out of a sense of obligation to M, which didn't seem like a very good argument in favor. I chose long hair for most of the game but then switched it to short hair right before taking the plunge to Origin. It just felt right because I got to experience long hair Mio for a long time and have her honor M's descision to grow it before letting Mio move past it and be herself on her final most important mission of her life. But one thing I am dissappointed about ia how abruptly that convo ends. I REALLY wanted to hear Eunie and Sena make the call and see Mio's reaction before rejoining the main group.
I mean, too bad that she goes back to the short hair in some cutscenes making the ‘canon’ decision quite clear, but I think she looks better with long hair and it fits her ouroboros form too!
@@HenshinFanatic well, for every in-game cutscene and battles and such she’ll keep it, that’s something, but for story important moments she does revert sadly. Probably because the longer hair would get in the way of certain camera angles or the like since they did all the work with short hair Mio.
I know this is supposed to be a light-hearted scene and all, and i am aware that i am overthinking this, but for overthinkings sake, I theorise that the answer to 'how did M maintain that long-@$$ hair' is that she didn't. Think about it, in every single lifetime, Mio always has short hair, be it for practical and/or stylistic purposes. And we know that Mio does care about the later because of that braid she has whose purpose is simply being aesthetically pleasing and cute. However, M has long hair, and it isn't tied up or stylised or anything. Moreover, I don't think it would be a stretch to say M was likely severely depressed and depression makes maintaining and taking care of yourself bloody difficult. I think M only washed and took care of her hair very irregularly and only if she had to make a public appearance. When Mio is talking about taking care of hair, she is referring to the constant, daily upkeep necessary for long hair, which only gets draining after much repetition. if you take care of your hair once a month, that problem is non-existent.
As a dude who had long hair for quite a while, I can confirm. I didn't use any "products" or style it since my hair is just naturally straight, but god DAMN did it ever take time to wash.
Is there anyone else who honestly thought it was a letdown that the game didn’t let you keep her Moebius M outfit throughout the rest of the game? That outfit actually looked kind of hot on Mio. How the hell did they even get rid of that outfit anyways? That kind of doesn’t make sense. I liked that outfit. I thought it was a nice change of style of look on her.
@@JonSmith-hk1bq Yeah... Just glad the two were able to make up in the afterlife. Still if N could have thought outside the box a bit he might have been able to redeem some brownie points by acting as a double agent with M while making sure Z was at least majorily inconvenienced.
I kept it long simply because we spent the game up to this point with short hair and this was a new profile. Also, everyone else in the party has short hair.
At the time, I didn't know you could change between the 2 any time you want, so when I was first given the option to choose, I was having such a hard time deciding. They both look great on her!
I'm currently only at chapter 2, But I assume that I'll go with the short hair. I just love girls with short hair. Not short as guys of course, but something in the line of what Mio already had. Fiora's first design (although she is still amazing with even shorter), Pyra, and now Mio.
........This is such a difficult decision. On the one hand, I think Mio looks really good in long hair and it does make for a good reminder of how she was saved from her terrible fate. Mio could keep her hair like that to honor the one who gave her a second chance. On the other hand, I get Mio being more comfortable with her own style and if M were still there, she'd probably laugh and tell Mio to do what she wants. I don't imagine she'd ever be the kind of person who'd be petty enough to complain about her hair getting cut off after she died. Besides, M gave her life so Mio could live. Not so she could have her look preserved for all eternity.
More important question... was this a harder question than the "pyra or mythra" one? (Ignoring that you can change the hair in the settings, that option doesn't exists)
I wish they told you that you could change it later, because I picked long hair because it symbolizes the events but I regretted it and played the rest of the main story with long hair mio

I REALLY wanted to hear Eunie and Sena make the call and see Mio's reaction before rejoining the main group.
im seeing so much clips from xenoblade, im almost playing it.
I cut her hair because she wasn't happy with it and confort beats looks
I mean, too bad that she goes back to the short hair in some cutscenes making the ‘canon’ decision quite clear, but I think she looks better with long hair and it fits her ouroboros form too!
Shoot, it does? That sucks.
@@ASquared544 Yep. The ending being the prime example I can think of.
@@skyhighlander6447 wow, what's even the point of giving a choice then?
@@HenshinFanatic well, for every in-game cutscene and battles and such she’ll keep it, that’s something, but for story important moments she does revert sadly. Probably because the longer hair would get in the way of certain camera angles or the like since they did all the work with short hair Mio.
@@skyhighlander6447 should have done the first pass with the long-haired model, then it would have been a cinch to sub in the short-haired version.
I’m a man with hair down to the bottom of my neck, and Mio’s right. It IS a pain in the ass to wash.😂
That way Manana turns around...
I kept it because it lets her be different than nia who pretty much looks just like her when her hair is short
Oh this is going to be flat out painful when I get to this choice, both look good to me.
Long hair may be a pain in the ass but feathers are still a bitch to dry
I know that feeling. I used to have very long hair, but after cutting it short, it was SOOOO much better!
Oh my, I like the voice acting so much!
I wish they made the M armor also available for the player as a costume alongside the long hair.
Good news! The Noah and Milo amiibos unlock those outfits for them.
One of the cutest moments in the game.
Lost the will to live after being reborn as Mobius,
but boy does she take good care of that hair.
I kinda took it more as a sign of M no longer caring. She lets her hair grown long out of neglect for herself. Not because she thinks it looks better.
@@JonSmith-hk1bq That may be... But the hair is still in amazing condition. Good genes maybe.
@@nathanielpetersen275 Either that or N made a habit of brushing it for her. Make how she felt about THAT scene as you will.
I had to google what Latrine meant... Short hair.
Mio clearly wants to cut it. But idk, I think we need a reminder that it's M's body
Damn. I feel that title. Washing my hair doubles the length of time it takes to shower.
Manana: Manana pretend to not hear that!
At the time, I didn't know you could change between the 2 any time you want, so when I was first given the option to choose, I was having such a hard time deciding. They both look great on her!
I love u mio.... And everyone too
I kept her hair long, but it ends up short in the ending cutscenes either way without explanation.
Why not wash it with wotah
Wo’ah?
Wadder
I work in service sector where you absolutely cannot grow your hair too long. I miss having long hair back in highschool
Kept it long because it makes for a nice variation: Sena=Short, Eunie=Shoulder length, Mio=long.
I had long hair when I was a teen. It is kinda a pain but now I shave my head every morning and this is also a pain lol
I did not know you can change it under Options
1:34 she must be faster reaper ever had lol can't follow that fast
If only ponytail option was a thing
in the end it do not matter since you can change it in the game setting
I wish she unlocked the M costume after this, it's a shame she only has it for one battle
Meanwhile sena her hair is *Literally* constantly on fire
I can only imagine what it must be like for Brigid to wash her hair. It’s long AND on fire.
I'm currently only at chapter 2, But I assume that I'll go with the short hair. I just love girls with short hair. Not short as guys of course, but something in the line of what Mio already had. Fiora's first design (although she is still amazing with even shorter), Pyra, and now Mio.
I chose short hair because I have long hair and know the pain of taking care of it.
This was a harder choice to make than between Pyramid and Mythria
and this is where the real civil war starts
........This is such a difficult decision.
(Ignoring that you can change the hair in the settings, that option doesn't exists)
it is troublesome, but I'm still growing my hair back anyway.
Oh damn she’s right about that. As a 6ft guy with a long hair that reaches half of my body. It takes ages to wash this hair of mine. 🤣
Okay but can I at least have M's armor as a clothing option monolith please
I wish they told you that you could change it later, because I picked long hair because it symbolizes the events but I regretted it and played the rest of the main story with long hair mio
