    Great video! I love that you show your not-so-organized studio, I am a fellow not so organized person and I love it.
    I am so nervous to put my silver plate in the tumbler! I have heard some say put it in no longer than 30 min and I have heard others say they tumble for 2 hours, what is your recommendation?

      I LOVE my tumbler!! I don't think I've had any of my silverplate ruined from it, and I normally tumble 1.5 - 2 hours for the best shine. Good Luck!!

    8:05 pm 9/10/23. I loved your video. Interestingly, I am just now in the process of purchasing the arbor press. Why I am writing, is to ask where you purchased your tumbler from. I didn't know there was such a thing. Also, when I looked at the finished product you made, the hearts that you blackened, it didn't look to me, as if there was any silver plate left on. I'm sure there is, or you would have mentioned it. Also what grade and brand is the sanding block you are using. I'm new to this, so I enjoy seeing how others make their items. Thank you for your video!

      I'm so glad you had success! YAY. I don't know the brand of engraver. I actually got it at a garage sale a few years ago, it's definitely vintage. It is a hand engraver, a little smaller than a dremel. I'm sure you can find them online. Hope this helps.

    What were the two wheels you have on your bench grinder? I inherited my Dad’s so want to change out his heavy duty abrasive wheel and his wire wheel for my jewelry making.

    Love your video’s. How did you get a longer handle on your bender press? How do you blacken the design?

      You can blacken with a lot of different things, Liver of Sulfur, Jax, sharpies, whatever you prefer. I bought the longer handle at Lowes. I wish I could remember what it was originally made for...

      I have a Diamond Pacific Tumbler that I have been using for about 12 years. However, I have also heard good things about Lortone tumblers.

    Hey how long is the spoon handle after you cut it ?

      I just cut the bowl off the teaspoon, so there is some variation. Normally between 3.5-4 inches.

      @@charleighann7366 I got out of bed to check just for you...because I knew I would forget if I waited for tomorrow, lol. And also because you share my granddaughter's name :) Unfortunately, mine doesn't have a brand anywhere that I can see. It looks like the initials eM, but other than that, nothing. I have to say that the bench cutter is the way to go, SO much easier than the hand held ones, I highly recommend one. I do see some on ebay also, maybe with better pricing than Amazon, so check those out also. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks for checking out the video!

      Hi Bianca. I don't have an answer to finding large quantities. I have heard of people getting big hauls at antique fairs, from pawn shops, from metal recycling centers, but I have never gone down that route. I get almost all of mine from either Goodwill or Ebay. There are some Facebook groups that sell flatware, I would look for some of those. Also I am a member of Flatwearable Silverware Jewelry Artists Colony on Facebook. There are a lot of silverware artists on there that are very helpful.
